RPGM - Completed - A Story About a Stolen Lover, Cucked Wife and Swapping Sex [v1.04] [Suzuya]

This game isnt the best, its almost at the finish line but doesn't quite cross it. Its not bad, just not enough. The auto text and small screen is a bit of a problem and annoying but Im not putting much of that into affecting my score. If I could give a letter grade instead it would be solid B for this game. a 4 is a little too generous but a 3 also feels wrong.

First off, how high are the good parts in this game? pretty high, just not enough. The swapping sex/Netorase is also good but always feels like it needs just 1 more scene or a little bit of a follow up expanding on something it did that was great. This game feels like its always at the cusp of being amazing . Even the ending feels like this to a degree.

So Should you play it? Honestly If you like wife swapping and some forced/coerced sex you maybe should give it a go but be warned...the first 20% is clumsy, I didn't really care or understand how the events even unfolded but once it got on track it got much better.

A bug I encountered was at the beginning when doing the training where it froze and had to reload. Also Save often in DIFFERENT save slots, it might be helpful if you mess something up in the story or game explodes.

I'm going against the current here, but I freaking hate this game. And that goes double because for about 80-90% of it, it's fantastic. I love the dialogue, I like the characters, and it doesn't feel needlessly grindy.

It's true that your choices (mostly) don't affect the outcome of the game; except for the ones that warn you of an imminent game-over, it's all cosmetic dialogue differences. Which, honestly, I appreciate. I especially like that a couple of times, it gives you the option to *not* hear about what happened off-camera. Precious few games actually give you that choice, but I personally really appreciate it.

Where the game goes off the rails is at the end. As somebody else mentioned, the last half of the game is a pretty annoying "scene or save" sequence. You do get some choices as to how things unfold, and there are multiple endings possible. But the thing I genuinely don't appreciate is how the last three or four scenes are predicated on It's a goddamn unbelievable development, and it makes me want to give this game one star. But I'll still give it two, because the majority of it is fantastic. Extra points for mostly being well translated; there are only a couple of places where the pronouns refer to the wrong character.

This game SHOULD have been one of my favorites, and I'm pissed.

Pros:

• Progression is linear, so you won't let lost not knowing what to do next.
• Character personalities well developed, there is still the usual H logic where the characters act weirdly stupid for scenes to happen, but outside of that they don't regress in their development.

Cons:

• H scenes feel forced instead of built up, the game keeps waiting until the last minute to let you know about the content you are doing instead of developing the event or characters leading up to it.
• Too many pointless choices with zero effect on the outcome, unwinnable boss fights etc.
• Cameos from the dev's other games, feels jarring to have very large segments of scenes and time spent with characters you never met and aren't introduced instead of the ones the whole game spent developing.

Genre-wise the sex scenes are distributed sort of like this:
10% vanilla (MC and love interest);
20% swinging (consensual exchange of partners with another couple);
40% netorase (MC approving the pairing of his love interest with other men, and the MC does not participate in the action);
30% netorare (non-consensual pairing of MC's love interest with other men);

From the other reviews I thought this was more about swinging, but there's much more non-con stuff (things being done behind the MC's back, or in front of him but without their approval or ability to stop), so be prepared.
The strongest (and maybe funniest) example is when you marry the love interest, at night there's this "prima nocta" type of thing where the wives must first have sex with the priest of the village instead of their own husbands (one of which is the MC). When the wife gets back and the MC will finally have sex with her, the game jumps ahead and we don't see what happens -- so like, the game doesn't even care about showing sex scenes when it's the MC that is involved... This makes the author's intentions very clear: it's a NTR game.

The story is linear and you can't choose a love interest, it's already picked for you and you just push buttons to get different dialogue.

One particular moment is very frustrating: a boss battle against Sauber/Bauser (the game uses both names), which is a battle you cannot win -- after spending a good bunch of time trying to win the fight (I even tried cheating with MTool out of frustration, using the "Force Battle Win" option) the game loops and starts the battle again because it only accepts the outcome of defeat. That's very wasteful of the player's time. If you're gonna have a battle you can't win, just make it a cutscene?

PS the game window is particularly small like 600 x 400 pixels and cannot be maximized. You need to use some free program like Simple Runtime Window Editor to resize the game window to fill the vertical space of your screen, it plays much better this way.

Overall 8/10 one of the better NTS games I've played, but I do feel it missed some opportunities and is far from perfect.

++ Very well written. Characters have personality and the pacing/intensity is spot on.

+ Art is good.

= No animation (better than bad animation).
= Okay amount of CG per scene but could do with a few more for sure.
= Standard RPGM combat that doesn't serve much of a purpose other than to add time.

- Like 95% of choices do not really matter, so why are they there? They're either "say yes or game over" or "choose a dialogue but the story will proceed in the exact same way regardless".
- To that point, there could have been many more routes to suit various tastes. Failing to beat the bandits could have been a route. The priest could have been a route. Swapping turned into FFM could have been a route. Etc. Quite disappointing.
- Censored.
- No pregnancy ending is lame with all the dialogue regarding condoms / birth control / filling of wombs.

This is good, like very good. It’s been a long time since I’ve played an NTR game of this quality.


Negative points:

. The art is not the best;
. The part at the end of the game that is a “scene or save”. The scenes are good, but I don’t like this structure;

Some positive points:

. Charismatic characters (both male and female);
. MC capable of satisfying his partner - the amount of NTR with the protagonist having a small penis is sad;
. Well done swapping;
. The right amount of humiliation - I usually hate humiliation in NTR because it tends to be extreme and sad, but in this game, it's just right. An example: the scene in the swapping where the girls praised the MC's and his friend's dicks, saying that one could never give the pleasure the other did, was an incredible turn-on, the scene with the father was also amazing.

I wish there were more games like this.

Suzuya is the master of netorase. His work is the best, this is honestly close to Knightess Whore in how good the scenes are.

Noel and Marie are both great characters, and the swapping scenes are both wholesome and erotic.
The netorase scenes are also amazing, especially those with Sauber, which we could have gotten more of honestly.

The only critism I have with the game is that it could have had more scenes, especially with both Noel and Marie being claimed by one guy,

one of the best swinging based games, while the last scenes were really stretched and mediocre the premise and early game well clears that, a definite must try.
The game does have some rpg elements where you have to fight monsters which is absolutely uselles and not needed, just use a save editor and blast trough cause it's just a waste of time.

This is essentially a visual novel crammed (lovingly) into an RPG shell.

The rpg elements drop off and never return seemingly halfway through the story. It also appears that there are no real choices to make through the story.

That said, the story is there, the writing is more than good enough to make you care about the characters and enjoy their perdicament. Worth a couple hours of play.

Worth noting that the first boss battle against the big antagonist (you will know when it happens) is not winnable.

Great game. Once again the developer manages to tell an interesting tale of what essentially is true love and being able to enjoy your fetishes with your loved one. Suzuya could've easily sacrificed character integrity for the sake of NTR but decided not to do so, which I personally think did benefit the game. It has some seriously hot scenes too, and as is Suzuya's trademark, all scenes are drawn uniquely (no CG reusing).

Now with the new MTL the story is finally fully understandable as well. A joy to play, not only for fans of Suzuya's games but for every lover of the very kinks mentioned in the game's title (and mainly swapping sex / netorase).

This is easily the most digestible of this circle's works. Unlike a lot of them, the Netorase element doesn't feel forced or shoehorned in. The MC and Johnny develop the fetish together and it progresses naturally instead of just springing fully formed straight to the wife fucking people immediately. Probably the only one close to it in terms of story is the Knightess one, but even that felt like the MC was forced into enjoying it instead of discovering it himself.

A really solid narrative (for an NTR game) with fun characters and honestly really cool swinging relationships. The art is pretty inoffensive and the gameplay is practically nonexistent, but if you're here for a little bit of (not too serious) storytelling, then it doesn't get better than this imho! My favorite game from this developer, for sure!
