RPGM - A Struggle with Sin [v0.5.9.1] [Chyos]

So far with its current content it looks promising. Hope dev.team keeps going this direction their going.
I cant really add anything more than just my thanks and good luck wishes.
As far as gameplay itself, well it has some intresting events based on your choices and option preferences. Dont wana spoil something just play it as far as you can get and thats it.

1/5 - DNF; Didn't get me off

Gameplay is mostly sandbox style managing your stats and grinding points with girls. The grind doesn't feel that bad because you are always getting a little different dialogue to grind. Occasionally you get quests to go on. Combat is simple and easy.
Porn scenes consist of a few renders and an animation or two. The renders are bad, the animations are hideous. They look like something out of Fallout 1 (not exaggerating). Descriptions are fine, but don't make up for it. The worst part here is how long it takes to start getting scenes - I played for 3 hours and only got the two scenes from the prologue.

Even if you're the type of player who enjoys these sandbox grinding games, I'm sure you can find one where the graphics aren't from the last century.


+ What story there is isn't bad. Same goes for the writing.

Really nice game. It has lots of action and game to it, it is not just a good porn game but it is also a good game. Lots of different characters to play with and full of interesting side stories. I did not experience many bugs and there is a bit of grinding involved, but it is ultimately a fun experience

Excellent Game, so much fun to play and can't stop playing it. Can wait to See more interesting Story in the Future. And by the way gonna love the Story, it also have a wonderful adventure.

I played the game for about 30 hours. The game includes grinding but not much. Has a good story, excellent sex scenes, well written female characters and good romance. NTR can be avoided (I think one of the important points). There is not much innovation in combat, but I liked the mechanics very much. And if you ask me, I would expect more kinks in this kind of game. but I think it will come in the future. To sum it up, it's a great game.

A lot of dedication goes into this game and it shows. Its so fking good.
This is an actual RPG with a lot of adult content. Its also very long, we are talking about 40+ hours of gameplay.

- The story is well put together
The overall plot of the game is actually good. It makes sense.
At the start of the game, you will get the feeling that this will be a simple story, but it evolves into an adventure with a lot of twists.

- The female characters are the heart of this game
An amazing cast of female characters. Most of the them are busty with big ass and tits <3 I love it
My favourite ones have to be Tia and Kate, just for their amazing romance moments.
Not that the rest dont have theirs lol. The childhood friend is a swetheart too.
But If im being honest the best female characters are for sure the MILFs (the moms and the wives). All of them are written so well, its just something else. They have also very nice romance moments but their attitudes, perverted moment and overall character is just something else. Of this milf cast my favourites are the mayoers wive, the child hood friends mom and Tia's mom.

- The romance in this game is god tier
This is without a doubt the best part of the game in my opinion.
Its not just love talk, its straight up hand golding, hugs, cuddles, kisses etc...
Incredible sweet moments with the love interests. It makes the relationships deeper and meaningful.
The relationship progression is done so well too. Some of the love interest can be rather cold or rude, or uninterested. But they can get very affectionate and sweet <3
BUT some of the characters are not developed all that much... you will notice this as you play that some of the female characters simply have way more content than the rest, plus their relationship progress much better than some others.
This is sadly due to patreon polls the dev does. We can only hope he develops them all eventually.
Not gonna give a name, but there is a love interest that can potentially be Best Waifu if she actually got content updates and we had more progression with her IMO.

- The sex scenes are very good
Scenes are pretty darn good. Renders are good. The animations are mostly amazing.
We get control in some of the scenes, like changes view points , camera angles, poses etc...
But overall , we get some pretty good angles during the poses. But in my opinion, we need more focus on the girls butts. But we also get some nice angles during doggy style <3
The blowjob scenes are super good, its mostly with good side angles where we clearly see the girl taking it and her tits and/or ass is in the frame <3
Animations are smooth and clean for the most part.
BUT there are some scenes that are very laggy and stutter. Its a hit or miss.

I suggest you make saves before each scene, because some of them are not repeatable and only happen 1 time. But most of the sex scenes can be repeated whenever you want

- The NTR is completely avoidable/preventable
The NTR in the game is avoidable. It does not happen in the background.
It can be turned off at the start of the game, so we do not have to worry about it all.
The NTR in the game is mostly if we fail objectives or lose fights.
I suggest turning the NTR off at the start because the game can be difficult and IMO not worth the risk.
But even if you do not turn it off, it will not happen in the background, its more of a consequence of your failure type of situation.
And do NOT worry, MC is pretty much doing all the fucking in the game <3
BUT I suggest you play carefully if you have NTR ON... there is a corruption system in the game. And reading the walkthrough the girls can be turned into sluts. If you have NTR OFF and corrupt the girls, they are YOUR sluts and will be fucking only you. But if you have NTR ON, there are some situations that they might fuck others, at least thats what Im getting from reading the walkthrough.

- The combat and survival mechanics can cause trouble at the start
Combat is not rly hard when you get a few levels. But you will feel worhtless at the start xd
It has some unique features like insta swaping your weapons mid combat with the arrow keys <3
I did not like the survival mechanics tho... The Lust, Hunger, Energy management is very tedious and can get in the way. Especially the Lust management. Some of the scenes are locked behind certain amounts of Lust.
But it gets better after a few hours. Its just the start that is atrocious while you are getting your bearings.
Do not give up because of these mechanics

Overall an amazing and ambitious game.
Its filled with beautiful and loveable love interests , hot sex scenes , and a lot of choices on how to do things.
Some of the animations are rough, but I have no doubt they will be looked over in time.
The grind is not that horrible. You will not have to wait hours to progress with a love interest or see a sex scene.
The Walkthrough is a must. Game is rly not playable without it. The ingame quest log does not give too much info most of the time and you can get lost if you do not use the walkthrough.
I loved the game and I cant wait for more.

I wanted to like this game since it appeared to combine a real gaming experience with a porn game.

The problem is with the execution.

The good:
--A sophisticated story
--rpg elements that allow for a meaningful progression in stats

The bad:
--the game interface
--the reliance on walkthroughs
--energy and lust management

the meh:
--the porn

It shouldn't take multiple tries to get through doors or interact w/ characters. Though you have some measure of control over core stats, such as dex, str, and hunting by leveling up your character, energy, and lust are really hard to manage. Not a little hard, but nigh impossible. Sleeping controls energy, but raises lust significantly and undermines your ability to succeed at quests if you sleep, in what the game believes, is the wrong place.

You shouldn't have to rely on walkthroughs or trial and error to figure out how to interact with ppl. You're told you can disrupt a date for Frisa, but only briefly told you can infiltrate the mayor's house and never told how that is even possible. The person you learn lockpick from is only accessible between midnight and 6 am. Do you know how I know that? The walkthrough. When is a hole a firepit containing charcoal? When the walkthrough tells you. How do you manage lust? Read the walkthrough. How do I get Mira's first quest? Well first you have to figure out how to get through her door, and then know that you will only get the dialogue you need if your lust is <80. How do I know this? The walkthrough. How can I manage lust early on? Sleep with the witch. Is that the only way? No, you can defeat and sleep with the Orc woman, but that interaction is randomized. You can turn the tables on the witch, but only if you know how to by reading the walkthrough or through trial and error.

Personally, the sex images were not so great as to warrant going through all of the hassle of "playing" the game. I'm done with porn games where it necessitates me having the time to do hours of trial and error or a walkthrough to be successful.

Ultimately the good ideas just aren't worth the hassle.

The best game I have played in the past few years.

There is a good story, each character has a different love, ntr route. Fighting is not boring, and there is very little time wasted moving on the map, which is very precious in RPGM.

The disadvantage is the graphics quality, very bad shadow effect, I think many people miss this gem for this reason. The secondary girls have very few animation types, lacking group sex and gangbang scenes. And... As an ntr fan, I think the stories of the supporting characters are not good enough, or too peaceful?

One of the best rpg games to date! Very entertaining I love the loot aspect, there's crafting in the game. The story is very involved I love all the options and scenarios for each one of the characters. I really looking forward to the updates. keep up the good work

I gotta say this truly is one of my favorite games I found here and I really hope it continues development, the overall story has me intrigued but I am also looking forward to what kind of more ntr or vanilla corrupted shenanigans our hero gets into.

Review of version 0.3.0.9, played for about 10 hours with 2 separate save routes (love/harem and NTR/coruption route).

Overall PROS:
- PLENTIFUL CAST OF CHARACTERS. From blonde cutey village girl to tall halforc woman crush me with your thighs to thicc dwarves and stuff.

- ANIMATIONS, yo. Not a masterpiece by any means, but they add that ~something~ you know you need in a scene.

- AMOUNT OF CONTENT. With each girl/woman having their route (2 most of the times) you wont be finishing the whole game in the first hour, trust me.

- ROUTES. Almost each girl has basically 2 routes : The Hero/Love path and the Corruption/NTR path. You can toogle NTR off if you will, and you can mix and match some routes, but I recomend always seeing both routes and then stick with one with your main save (corruption levels play a big factor in dialogues as well!)


Overall CONS:
- The RPG ASPECT. Hear me out: While the story is okay (typical power fantasy stuff), the combat and grind are definitely not the strong points of the game. It has some mechanics but to me feels basic and takes time (in a game where you have over like 20 characters routes to do)

- Animation BUGS/Technical issues. Although animations are good, it has a little bad side. Sometimes you are going to see weird eyes or a frame drop/freeze in some scenes. Nothing major, but its there.

RECOMENDATIONS BEFORE OR WHILE PLAYING:
- Dont be afraid to use the walkthrough. I used it the whole time and the game still felt fresh even after "spoilers" because you can't really see the thoughts or reactions of the characters in the walkthrough

- Cheat IF you dont have much time to spare. My reasoning is that combat/grind can be time consuming and this game has a lot of characters to offer and to meet, so if you want to check both of their routes and still have time to sleep, cheat a bit.

- The NTR dilemma: If you REALLY dislike it, then turn off and be done it. But playing with ON and still going with the hero/love path feels wayy more rewarding of your time than having it turned off. It adds that tension to "protect" your girls and keep the combat side of the game interesting. Trust me, even with it ON you need to f*ck up really bad to get NTR'ed (like dying to orc boss or neglecting to help ya girl in her whole quest)

CLOSING THOUGHTS:
Gonna start saying that this is one of my favorite H-games to date. Not because of 10/10 renders or insane combat mechanics, its just because I liked the characters and the situations/routes they are put in. The girls react differently according to corruption and/or previous situations (like if you done X quest before Y quest, or like losing virginity to anyone other than MC before for example)

Also saw a lot of critics in regards of female designs and such, and I disagree with then. I found most of the characters decent enough for a game where you are in a medieval village. It feels a bit dated render wise? Yes, but all of them have animations to keep the things spicy enough

In a sea of games with godlike models and renders alongside a 0.1 or [Abandoned] tag, this game keeps things going with enough updates to keep ya interested.

the models are fine, though the plot is a so-so if not a bit cringy. how could that waitress lose her ring? I would understand if she lost something easier like, a coin in hand. and the tease... welp... it's a porn game, expect the bar wench to get down in a suggestive all-fours while "finding" her ring.

and my low-end pc is struggling already with this game. I was expecting VN's to be low-end friendly. I was wrong on this one. 'guess I'll stay away from rpgm and stick to renpy na don't get me wrong... I ain't suggesting you sacrifice the aesthetics just to cater low-end users.

good luck on this game. you have the knack for this, I'll give you that, dev.

first and foremost this game if it is a game isn't "fleshed out" the developer cares more about the "fap" aspect than actual game content which is highly obvious with the piss poor actual game content that is offered

every update breaks other content or leaves content half finished such as introducing "questlines" that are not totally completed or there is a "rework"
which totally breaks the game overall especially older saves from prior "versions" which cannot just be "patched"

the over dependence on the niche "netorare" is a massive down side as it screws up so much of the playability and actual enjoyment of a game
that is sopposed to be centered around "lust"

your the MC/Hero...you should be the one who makes the desisions and not be being forced into being an impotent cuck at best ( which basically is wtf happens or is leading to happen in multiple storylines which no single story line can be completed without being "corrupted" yourself or corrupting npc's as there is no option whatsoever for a "pure" playthrough nor is there a balance to remove gained corruption

its penalty after penalty many of which are overly heavy for paltry actions
i.e. you get caught simply standing in a house you "broke" into it will waste an entire day of your time

if you happen to mis click it will not be forgiving

and if you dont have your hand totally held by reading the mostly obscure walkthrough then you get totally screwed over

the grind is also super long and imposing resources taking up to a week to respawn of in-game time
and the crafting/recipies are not fully implemented or remotely balanced
neither is the gear ....

it will take over 20 days to grow a simple carrot but a tree re grows in 3 if the rng is on your side ...

then there is the bullshit skillchecks and "talent costs for skills levels which dont operate of their own independant system
even for mundane actions your over skilled in you still have asinine skillchecks say your 5 theiving (current max) you still need to pass a check to pick a simple lock then thers the fact your limited

on wtf you can "steal " as well as how often which is just about the only way you can even raise your own corruption level (which must be high af to unlock most of the games content /actions)

lastly there is the poor spelling in the actual limited story line and the super long grind just to fuck a n npc it cas well as conflicts with the time progression ( multiple events happening at exactly the same times ingame

or having bullshit time limits ( commonly 14 in-game days as a reoccurring theme as its 14 dats in a "coma" or 14 days till initiation ect ..which is flat out dumb af

most the npc models/assets also the animations are of poor to fair design mostly poor due to being "ripped" off content poorly rigged/boned/weight painted ( or made morbidly obese) or entirely disfigured pop/bug eyed the eyes of the modles being blacked out the hair of modles being not properly meshed/weight painted or textured

then the sex animations themselves are often dull and overly repetitive and highly mundane

over all the game needs a lot of work and at its current rate of updates breaking more than they fix i dont know how long it will be before an actual finished product will happen

Well When I first played this game i didn't know what i was doing but when i took time to read the walkthrough and the dialogue i actually understood what the game wanted me to do and i actually started to really enjoy the game.This game to me has a great future.

Wow, this is certainly one of the best rpgm games on the site. Theirs lots of content, writing is good, gameplay is fun, not dull at all. I always love games in the middle ages with fantasy. the renders/art have a unique style to it. Animation is pretty fluid. Tons of potential. 100 percent worth a download.

A Struggle With Sin is an awesome game with tons of twists and turns pending how you play , packed with combat , problems solving puzzles as well as beautiful art work . It a game that you can play over and over and always find something new .

This game is very interesting, I really like it, I hope this game will be successful, I like the story, the music, the character traits and so on, I played this game for up to 12 hours to finish, and just yesterday night I finished this game already had the latest version wow amazing

Been playing this for a long while, love it. Fun story, lots of different quests, gameplay is good. Graphics are a little different, but great. The dev makes this work with engaging and interested stories and interactions. Regular updates are done, and keeps on expanding the world.

Quests are detailed and fun, grind is ...not a grind, it is part of the quests and gameplay, it makes it engaging and I look forward to updates every month.

One of my favorites, 5 stars due to the quality of the world made.

Update: Aug 2022 - still playing this game, exciting world, as it has developed futher I am enjoying it more and more. The continued development of certain characters has been increased while new adventures and new characters have shown up. Still 5 stars, excellent. One of my favorites, hope it continues for a long time its like playing a D&D adventure...only you get to bang everyone.

First for all players this is real life game you have to earn everything foryourself I played 48 hours and I still dont have full content

first grind if you like it or not this game is full of grind you need to repeat actions over and over again to gain something you really earn it but there is cheatbook in item and walkthrough thats helping you

Thats something that sets this game apart from the other games most games have the same scheme one male and only girls here you really have world where other males fight with you for females so you have to be smart and win of course ntr can be cut off but where is fun


Girls amazing graphics the giggle and twerking is amazing you have different type of girls and bodies milf, teen or model type girls the developer really put his work on it
