RPGM - A Struggle with Sin [v0.5.9.7 Test] [Chyos]

I am 'revising' my review, originally I felt that this game was one of the best games on this site., with a lot of content and variety, even the grind isn't bad, and gave it 5 stars. Now however, I feel it's undeserved.

There is no doubt the Dev has a lot of talent, however what was promised early on, didn't really manifest later on, add that to the fact the he considers criticisms as 'hate' ...

My revision is because of what I consider a broken promise, not the genre itself (to each his own) but what was meant as punishment instead morphed into becoming the 'mainstay' of the game, as someone has succinctly put it on page 1549 of this game's thread and in two different posts.

I am pretty sure, many of us (I won't claim most of us) wouldn't have bothered with this game to begin with had its 'direction' been made clear from the get go.

I still wish the developer all the best, and for those who like this game to enjoy it to their hearts content, but I still feel a broken promise is a broken promise and a tunnel vision regarding criticisms is rarely helpful.

I was totally not expecting for this game to be that good especially when it's first release was last year, I was expecting so little of contents but holy cow there were a lot and when I say a lot I mean really a lot, the graphic is not perfect and it's not the best, but it was worth it every minute of the game, and on top of all that i have not seen any bug so far, i mean really well done

I have to admit the graphics are total shit! Patched .png files ? Dude, it looks like you originally rendered them relatively well, why the hell you spent the effort to compress them in such ugliness?

All the rest is worth every second of my time playing , for more than 20 hours straight!

For some reason, out of many games with the almost the same theme, this one manages to stand out. It feels like the plot is interesting, the character have personalities and the quests are actually fun. The animation are very good imho.

The only 2 things I would comment about are:
A bit too grindy (like +10 corruption with iwamen)
Could have better clues what to do next and where scenes might happen. Like 4 sex scenes with felisha. I don't like using the walk throughs.

Overall, definitely worth your time. Enjoy.

The best RPGM of this genre i ever see! History line, battle mod with level up skils point, random drops, craft system etc.
The options in both love and NTR route are really good (all NTR optional from the start). I really became a fan, i restart more than 4 times and have more than 30 hours of gameplay.
Chyos i have to say you are genios, keep on the excelente work!!

An absolutely fantastic RPG. In addition to the standard characters like the barmaid and the familie members, there are also Ckaraete like the half orcs. The story is interesting. What I personally don't like is the hunting mechanics and some part of the game are a little bit to grindi: put the bandits to sleep (again and agaian and again ...) in the Imawyn sotyline for example.

It has amazing characteres and a mysterious story, about the models they look really well, once you get used to the interface, the game will be easier for you. On the other hand I would like to see more content, so what are you waiting to support this developer. see ya

A real promising and already outstanding game, if you’re into the fantasy setting. It’s a rpg maker game, so don’t expect overwhelming graphics. But the dev makes the very best out of this dated engine. The renders also aren't top notch, because the dev doesn't use daz3d, but that's ok for me, since I like the setting very much. Chyos seems to get better and better at rendering and doing animations with each update, though. Every sex scene is animated by the way.

The female cast is quite big, diverse enough and created with love. Npcs also have different personalities and their own day/night cycle filled with various activities.

The story/plot is quite entertaining so far and keeps players hooked. Dialogues are fun to read and gladly there are no textwalls like in some other games. Text flow and content flow do have a good balance.

It takes a while (several quests need to be done) until you can see the first h-scenes, but they’re well done and rewarding. As far as I understood pregnancy will be impelemented and you can build up your harem. Since it’s a rpg you can level up, train your character to your liking, equip your party with different items and make decisions, which will have an impact on the game. There is already a lot of promising content (v 0.2.1), which is very well worthwhile to play. The game really made me excited for new updates (once a month usually) and has become one of my favourite games on f95.

Great experience overall , well developed story and game mechanics which makes the experience more engaging , has great potential going forward.
Highly addictive and engaging due to the several random events
Certain quests can be challenging which is great and hopefully it stays a challenging and interesting game

I really enjoyed the game, there is enough content for EMILY, KATE, CLAIRE.
NTR IS AVOIDABLE for those who dont like it.
I LOVE NTR, and the good thing is that you dont totaly "lose" the girl, you an still fuck her, but if you neglect her she will look for another cock until you come back.

There is a bit of griding, so i recommend using cheat, for the money and some items (I use RPGMakerSaveEdit MV)
You need a walkthrough, because sometime you can get a bit lost

PROS;
1 - Great Story for me at least
2 - There are really hot situations/scenes, like the waitress with her mom and "stepdad". With the EMILY who dated MC´s dad.
3- The time system is cool, characters do different thing thoughout the day, and some events trigger according to the time
4 - There are a few different paths, like a love path or keeping it casual.
5- cool animations on the sexs scenes.
6- Thick girls, always goods, i prefer the natural thick, but they its look good

CONS:
1- The renders, they are not that great, but not that bad either, DAZ3d would be better, but this work because of animations;
2 - the griding. always annoying in a RPG game, the DEV should but some cheat in the game.
It gets just 4 stars because of the graphics

thats it. Its a GREAT game for me, i love NTR but love it more when you can fight for the girl or you dont lose her completely, there are different path so far

TIPS for the DEV:
- a CHEAT menu would be great.
- The game would be a lot better if the graphics were better looking. maybe it can still look better with the program he uses, because i love the animations.
- and the dev could Add more scenes/points of view/positions in the sex, so we can change through it all before we choose to end it the sex scene.
- i hope there is a pregnancy system in the future.
- and a way so we can not block the ntr for good. Like we could make kate fuck anyone if she is corrupt enough and saved her from the blackmail.

I still havent stopped playing the game

I really enjoyed the medieval fantasy/human element in this game, it works well with the Daz3D models; although they are not the cleanest looking there is a variety of characters and scenes were quite good. In terms of gameplay I thought the energy/time system worked well with the quests and events happening throughout each day. Combat/hunting is simple but effective in accordance with the story. There is some grinding but it is not tedious because there are eventually events that come up and if you follow the quests you are provided with sufficient resources. There are some situations where it is not obvious in which the player has to experiment to get certain scenes or corrupt characters. Already one of my favorite RPGMAKER games.

Still a lot of work to be done on this game, but it has potential. I was hoping this would be a great RPG game on its own... plus the sexy content... however the combat system is a little too basic, also the MC does not gain any experience and does not get better the more you fight.

There's quite a bit of grinding in the game, probably because for now there is limited content. I'm hoping the developper eases on the energy/time system once he adds more content. Add random enemy/prey encounters instead of "waiting an hour", hope to catch a bunny before it runs away, and then hope your attack doesn't miss just to see the prey flee..

With that said the story is interesting, and can develop into something solid once there are more missions, characters, equipment, etc.

This review is based on 0.1 , the game has a lot of potential , the renders are not that good and can be done way better like for real this is not 1990 anymore , i like the general story and the ability to choose your path not too much grind , it look very promising and it will be a great game if he make the renders better.
