Spent about an hour on this VN. I don't feel like continuing. The main drawback is the boring story. Someone saw humor in this story, but to me it's just stupidity. Although the turn from the standard mind control deserves respect. But nevertheless the story lacks internal drive. And one more important detail - none of the characters evokes sympathy, the need for empathy. And this dooms the story to be sterile, unable to captivate the reader. And since this is a VN, not a game, I would like to see the development of this or that character, and this element is absent.
So two points out of five, no more.

Renders and graphics are not the best, but passible.

Having said that, I just enjoyed every moment playing this game.

    Loved the different characters.
    MC is a lovable doofus.
Story is a bit far fetched, but still intriguing.

Can not wait for the next update. It's just not good enough for 5 stars, but still very enjoyable and an easy 4 stars.

OK, this is not the work of a DAZ expert, though there is indeed worse out there. Lighting could be sometimes better, but what strikes me the most is the sterility of many scenes, in the sense that they feel empty. There are many free assets around which would make the scenes more pleasant to look at. Indeed, it gives the game a rushed feel. It becomes apparent when in one of the scenes the missing roof is not hidden from the view. I've never seen such an error making it to a published hc VN, how bad it may have been.

As someone whose native language is not English, I find the use of "there" instead of "their" and other things found here an embarrassment, but hey, this is a porn game, what do I expect.

About the story, well, the supernatural assistance trope mixed with buffoonery. You may like it, just don't hope to see something original, deep, or inventive humor.

Not the worst game or novel ever, but so far there is nothing for me here.

The renders are not pretty or well done but ok. Even the MC is not so bad, it is the MC he should be for this novel.

For as visual novel like this, where you can´t do anything except "turn the pages" by ckicking you need a good story and good pictures.

There is something, but nothing i would say "good".

    The importand quastion is:

Do I want to know what happens next?

And for me, the answer is: No.

Once again I feel obliged to counter negative reviews that whilst legitimate are overly aggressive and worse misrepresenting the game.

First off, A Town Called Tool is not a fap game. There's fucking to be sure but it's less for your fapping pleasure and more part of the comedy. Which brings me to the second and more important point, the game is meant to get a laugh. Something that the reviews below seem to not realize. The MC is a derp. Looks like a derp. Thinks like a derp. He is simple and almost endearingly naive character. His best friend who he runs to for advice at the tiniest selfdoubt, is also a complete idiot. A fact to which MC is of course oblivious.

The game takes place in a future world that that underwent a stupid apocaplypse caused by an asshole president. MC lives at home where he is hated by his stepmom and stepsister who regard him(incorrectly) as a perv. One day a chance to improve the situation "magically" appears on the doorstep. Classic comedy ensues.

The dialogue is fast paced with the two idiots complimenting each other well. Renders are a little on the primitive side but there are worse ones out there.

I would recommend the game to anyone who can laugh at buffoonish comedy trending toward the absurd. It's not high art, but I laughed. And will likely be following the future adventures of the tool in Tool.

The renders are poor they need better lighting and more time (look up ghost lighting).
Some of the OBJs are floating like the keyboard.
I don't think any of the rooms have windows that are not covered.
The HUE on the walls is far to high.
Brenda has bathroom tiles as her bedroom floor ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Just super rushed and thrown random thing together without thinking.

Jimmy 'the Dude' Stumpervil says dude far to often for my liking.

The plot of the game feels forced, that said I feel this way with most games that use magic to drive the story, but more so with this. It if feels like little chunks are missing. For instance I'm guessing the Mc was going to bed before the book.

It's just poor need a lot of work.

This game is pretty bad. Looks like quickly made by a teenager. Not many renders, so scenes just skip to another, close to no story or character development, not a fap material. Only plus is really small file size, but who cares these days?
