It lags like hell for me too, so I don't think you're alone. It hard not to compare this to Summertime Saga, given the very similar structure, and SS just feels so much more crisp and responsive, not sure why this lags so much.
Also, I'm not crazy about how so many of the scenes appear to be time-sensitive. As a bit of a completionist, it annoyed me.

does anyone else have the issue where you load your save and it comes up with the error page and you need to roll back or ignore but neither option works? if so am i screwed and need to restart since its happening on all my saves?

Well... it's just a bugfix, isn't it? Actual content patches aren't usually given lackluster numbering like ".12b" and ".12c" usually.

there's nothing much to do with the side quest so the dev didnt update it correctly yet
Must bump into the passive-aggressive dickhead on the second floor of the school. If you confront him, he invites you to the fight club in the evening.

I see good potential in this game, like another Summertime Saga. I hope I'll live to see the day both of them are complete.

Well this is how groups work who use patreon. I like it more when a game has a release date insted of getting different versions every 1-3 month. Sadly it can't be helped.

Unfortunately it's difficult to tell when groups are being slow intentionally just to milk patreon dollars. That's the bad thing about patreon, it incentivizes vaporware.
