I would really like to see the story go faster, but the dev is kinda way too slow with the updates (aiming to finish the game with 10+ years from now, would love to see this gets wrapped up in 5-6 or even 7 years but more than that is torture)

there can be multiple solution
1. drop the unnecessary branches (especially the lesbian one)
2. hire some helpers that can speed things up
3. make things go faster in the story (not recommended at all)

Lesbian "path" is locked behind having to flirt with and seduce men. Very little to none actual sex (at least f/f). Every female character has big tits and wide hips for some reason.
Still, looking forward to further content, because so far the story has been somewhat engaging and the scenes hot.

It is the best game in its category, the characters and plot are optimal. The slow combustion is good but it also represents the only problem of this game, it has been in development for a long time. Still 10/10.

This game corrupted me way more faster than it does Sophia, tbh. Not perfectly written but incredibly sexy storyline and intriguing slow story development. If this is one of your first few erotic games or VNs, it will open you up to numerous fantasies to daydream. I mostly recommend this game to fellow female players, who like story and mental arousement more than action.

It's the perfect Non-Kinetic VN, where choices really matter and you can actually miss a scene if you choose differently! If it wasn't for the gallery option I would have missed around 5 entire scenes!
The renders are also amazing and, in part two, they're even better.
The script is so well-written that you quickly become immersed and start to feel for some characters, and choose so that specific relationships develop over others because they feel so human.
Even if you choose an only-filthy decisions path you constantly read about the internal conflict of Sophia (the MC) when making them but -at the same time- you see how she evolves into a much sluttier version of herself becoming more accepting of how lewd scenes develop, which just makes the character human, consistent and likeable.

It's definitely a 5/5 Stars game, since it's how any decision-making VN game should be made.

Found my self losing interest very easily, as nothing ever develops between MC and other characters and felt like choices don't really matter at the end (especially if you use mods to change your stats)

Sex scenes: 1/10: There are barely any sex scenes at all outside with the MC's husband, big shame since the game shows a lot of promise

For a certain audience, this is a top tier VN.

Who is AWAM for? People who like:
- high quality renders
- well designed, semi realistic characters
- hottest milfs in the business
- teasing and build up
- hot scandalous scenes
- social taboo scenarios

Who is it not for? People who like:
- realistic plot
- believable dialogue
- skilled writing with no AI
- constant progression and payoff
- hardcore scenes
- game mechanics and stats
- sandbox games

It gets a lot of criticisms for being too slow and having poor writing but I think that's missing the point. It's like critiquing a campy horror movie for bad acting and writing when that's not something the target audience cares about.

If your someone whose more concerned with the visuals and seeing milfs being hot, rather than fulfilling a fantasy where you win by making the characters have sex, this is a fantastic one.

Despite the complaints, there is a good amount of content, and the "good wife" path does give you decent sex scenes.

I recommend giving this a try if you're curious if you could enjoy a slower experience that lets your imagination run wild while masterfully teased.

I don't know the terms as many here use to describe it, but foreplay is what I like the most, the boiling point of the text/dialogue and the foreplay itself without the sex actually happening makes the game, in my opinion, very hotter, prolonging the excitement, if you are a jerker-off looking for quickie sex and want to go straight to it, sorry this type of game is not for you, this game has a more elevated atmosphere, it has a very refined sesibility for the dialogues, a grand sensitivity about everything that is around and within the characters, a lot of mental immersion, I like it and recommend it.

One of the better written porn games. For instance, I've been so desensitized to porn that I find lesbian porn boring IRL but the scene with Ellie's friend outside by the pool was one of the more erotic things I've experienced in a game. The renders are great and has some decent animations as well. I really do like the option to choose part 1 choices for starting part 2 instead of having to use a save.

My only real gripes would be how long this game has been in development for and how short the overall story has been in the grand scheme of things. I mean 8 years is an extremely long time to finish a game but I guess it's nowhere nears as bad as Summertime Saga in terms of dev time.

Another gripe would be that there really isn't any reason to ever choose the Good Wife options as there little to no scenes from choosing it, so in reality you would always be choosing to be Filthy option. My other gripe is that some scenes are really obtuse and unclear to get to like the other side job option besides nurse and getting to the sleepover scene. Luckily you can unlock it in the gallery with a mod.

Pretty long games, a lot of beautiful graphics, character design and renders. Has loads of potential for development.

If you like reading and playing a slow maybe long game but direct game, this is the game for you. Don't really need walk-through Mods or patches, dialogues are clearly marked to reactions. Wish the dialogue choices were not so binary. If a character is turned down, I have noticed character disappears, need not be that way. I may be partial to this idea because so many beautiful designed characters don't get a lot of story lines.

Differences in Part 1 and Part 2.
Part 1 - Felt a bit unpolished, especially with way too many characters and just abrupt situations. Saying that after playing P2, all these characters gives a lot of potential for future development of the game. 4/5

Part 2 - Graphics has been really good, obviously it helps there are lot of beautiful characters, better character development and storylines that are already there in Part 1, there is lot of potential for development. The graphics renders are really good. 5/5

Wish the developers the best. Hope we get consitent updates.

TL; DR: This is one of those games that is honestly difficult to recommend to anyone. Being one of the worst-paced VNs I've experienced so far (ok story at best, but which drags for too long), with acute lack of adult scenes, this VN is nothing to write home about, especially since other games pull off similar story and themes much better.

* please keep in mind I only played until the 19th ingame day before losing interest, so my review reflects only this limited contact with the game.


THE GOOD:
Grammatically, text is well-written, no major spelling or grammatical errors present - one can see great attention was paid in proofreading the dialogue text. But unfortunately, this is the only objectively praise-worthy quality I can point out in this game...


THE BAD:
The game hardly progresses at all. There are many subplots/questlines which open as the story progresses, but they go nowhere - there is no climax. The game teases, but in terms of adult content, never delivers.

For example, the first actual sex scene of the game only happens at the end of ingame day 18! I had nigh 17 pages of save games collected (usually I make a save before any choice-making junctures) before being greeted with any meaningful sexual activity/scene. Adult content is, thus, very sparse, but also underwhelming, as the scenes are ok, but not great.

Also, many branches open up, however they either lead nowhere or simply take an unreasonable amount of time to lead to something (e.g.., museum guys, which we meet right at the start of the game - first or second day - but never hear from again - at least not by the 19th ingame day, which is where I stopped playing).

There are also many faux nodes with random characters (guys on the street, guys at the park, the house contractors at the start of the game, etc.) which give you the expectation of maybe leading the story further, but are either "decorative" only (i.e., they present you no choices to make nor impact the game in any meaningful way) or exist for the sole purpose of farming "filth points", (i.e., they do not open new questlines/branches in themselves).

The story is thus expansive, but shallow. There is no emotion. For a corruption game, there is a clear lack of drama: MC's response to being forced down the corruption paths feel mostly nonchalant, unpassionate.


It is difficult to see in what category this particular VN is praise-worthy enough to justify the average rating it currently enjoys:

- there are other games that pull off the female protagonist dynamic much better;
- there are other games that pull the corruption theme much better;
- renders offer no unique style, and overall graphics quality is average;

In all, it is hard to justify the time investment needed, as it underdelivers both story-wise and in actual adult entertainment. "A Wife and Mother" offers no particular outstanding qualities, with other VNs out there occupying the same niche but offering much more value for the player (there's a great VN - main character named 'Myriam' - which pulls of this same female MC/ housewife corruption trope much more satisfactorily).


In conclusion, I found "A Wife and Mother" to be a frustrating and unenjoyable game, and cannot in good conscience recommend it.

I finally gave this game a shot after putting it off for a long time.

Season 1 was already above average, but Season 2? Easily one of the best games on this site. The rendering quality is stunning, and the way it portrays situations so realistically makes it incredibly immersive.
I usually don’t play games with female protagonists, but this one completely changed my mind. The story unfolding from different perspectives within the Parker family is just so engaging.

Honestly, I was surprised to see the rating after playing—it deserves way more. I’d easily give it 5 stars. Really looking forward to what’s next!

The dev tries to make everyone happy so there are a lot of routes which makes the progression rather slow when it is combined with the somewhat perfectionist ( or milker? not sure) approach of the dev. Still one of the best in its kind and that is why a lot of people here follows the thread (alongside to read funny comments). Go on, give it a try! you wont be disappointed, well, at least not in your first playthrough

While a slow-burn narrative can be enjoyable if handled well, this game takes it to an extreme. Dozens of hours in, and players are still stuck in endless flirting, minor interactions, and vague hints at something more. If you're expecting anything substantial to happen quickly, you'll be sorely disappointed.


Visually, the game looks good, with well-rendered characters and decent animations. The writing is solid, and some of the dialogue feels natural. But none of that matters when the story refuses to move forward in any meaningful way.

Very good renders, well written and I am totally for slow burn and long build ups but common. The Cello scene is the best example to show that this game is just about milking. But in general I think the last updates were not that good. The most problem I have is that with any new update the way FMC is acting is getting more stupid. Maybe its time to give the audience what they want, bring in 2-3 more updates and see how the audience react and continue with updates or start a new story.

I started playing this VN only in the last weeks, so I judge the game quality itself and not other factors like development time.
I see many reviewers angered for the slow pacing and slow development. The first is not true, the second well, I don't care as I get it for free and we should review the VN's quality, not other things.

There is much teasing in the unfaithful paths but the pacing is not slow, it's fine, because the in-game time is still weeks, not months, and Sophie is already getting intimate with others including her two sons (albeit no full intercourse happened). So if any, the pacing would be fast if this was real life. I know many AVN users are used to females going full sluts after a few in-game days and events, that's not the case.

# The weak aspects

The sex scenes with her husband are among the weak points. There should have been more to compensate the lack of sex scenes, and they should have been different based on her current "filthy" stats. The faithful path is almost useless as it skips almost all content and it hasn't got much alternative content itself, for the moment.

The variations of the outcomes based on past events are sometimes hard to predict so a walk-through guide is necessary after playing a few times.

The development is slow, I did not suffer from it because I started playing only recently but as I wrote, reviews should deal with content of the game, here we download for free, paying customers will complain on Patreon, this is not the place for that. I don't consider it in my judgment.

# Specific aspects

Image quality: among the best renderings you'll find, it improves in the second part. L&P really knows how to carefully pose and post produce.
Animations: not that I care about them, but the ones I've seen here are a lot above the average of the ones you find in AVNs.
Dialogues: very good.
Eroticism: it's there and it's well diffused during the story. In particular the lesbian lewd scenes are excellent, both in the wording and images.
Story: the paths could have been better intersected with more variations coming from past choices, but having many characters would probably complicate things too much. I really don't care if Sophie has not already had complete sexual acts outside her marriage. I have enjoyed the story so far.

This VN is excellent in the erotic aspect, the art is very well crafted so it deserves recognition for what it is.

In the description and in the introduction the player learns that you can drive the story that the MC takes. The overarching plot seems to be that the player supposedly can drive if MC is a loyal housewife or if MC decides to be filthy. Also, the player can decide to follow a lesbian route or a straight route and which characters to be romantic with. That sounded very intreaguing to me! The basic idea is awesome!

Unfortunately, The story and the choices / paths for MC are overcomplicated. The story doesn't really make much sense, it doesn't have any particular story line and the player makes a bunch of choices that don't add to a logic flow. The concept is very ambitous but unfortunately, it does not add up.

In my opinion the concept doesn't add up for the following reason: There are two types of choices: Chocies that score points and choices that impact the story down the line in unpredictable fashion. The latter are the problem.

The choices that score points can move a relationship with a given character forward or not, Or choices that add "Good Wife" and some "Filthy" points, or add to "Lesbian". All of that is traight forward. When you read the story and get the choice, it is pretty clear which one leads where, it is indicated on the choice if it produces points or not and finally, there is an option to cheat on the score. Somce choices are only available if the score is above this or below that. That isn't so bad, because you can always cheat the score around in order to go forward with the path you would like to follow.

What is really problematic are the other chocies. They have no rhyme or rythem but impact the unfolding of events much more dramatically. The game has a "walk-thorugh" which tells the player what options are available on any given day in the game and if choices have impact or not. The walk-through itself is very lousy in explaining WHAT impact a given chocie has (for example: the explanation "this choice has a big impact on this characters development" isn't helpful, since I don't know HOW this characters development will be impacted and what that will mean for the story). And so, you punch yourself through the choices trying to unlock the preferred path just to learn way down the line that from a specific date onwards, you miss out on pretty much all the lesbian content if you have not said a certain thing to a totally unrelated dude in a Sauna. So, basiocally I could just go back and punch the choices again or conclude, this whole thing doesn't make sense.

Besides that fact that the choices have consequences without rhyme and rythm, there are a couple of weak points in the making of the game: The game does not have background music but lots of background sound effects. TThe backgound noise can get annoying. Not every dor has to be slammed and not every car has to start the engine as if we are racing NASCAR. Between many scenes the screen will go black and pause while the background noise plays out. This slows down the game and kills the artistic effect as it is overdone. And finally within scenes there are many cuts that violate the "180 degree rule" known in filming and are therefore confusing or simply not nice from an artistic perspective.

This game is very well known and also very old 2017...

The story is very slow ''slow burn'' but taken to the extreme.

It focuses on its Female Protagnist and her family.

I don't even like games that are so slow but thank God I discovered the game recently, I can't imagine the people who have been playing since 2017...

The game is cool, it has good renders, good lighting, good gameplay, especially the second part, I like it much more since it seems that the designers were changed or something because the game is better with better quality and the animations are amazing.

The bad thing is that after so many years there is nothing concrete about the MC with her son, her friend and other characters, very little content.
