VN - Ren'Py - A Wife and Mother [v0.220] [Lust & Passion]

It's the best narrative I've found so far. I don't like games that start sex and nudity in the first scenes, it's kinda break the expectations and the construction of the story. This VN has a good progression, creates an excitement and build a strong feeling of "wanting more". Well, for those who like a fine storytelling, for me this is the best one.

Clearly the best game ever. The renders are beautiful, and the story truly erotic. The slow pacing is very enticing, and there are many branches to explore variations, with choices and consequences.

very good game, I'm waiting for the next update very quickly and is in my top 5 adult game, the story is credible and choice has a real impact and offers différent roads for the story. The sex scene has a good place in the story and is not abusive

Decided to give this game a go, and it's an entertaining enough plot. Fairly demented/dark at times, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. But, unfortunately it falls into the same no-choices storytelling of so many other renpy games.

Sure, there are frequently options provided to the reader, but all of them combine into a single question that must be answered before starting the game, "Do I want to play 'clean' and never see anything, or do I want to play 'dirty'?" After the player decides which of those are the path, all questions are pre-answered.

Some VNs at least allow the reader to pick and choose clean/dirty for every choice. But this is one of those games where, if you do not have enough points down the path of the option you click, you can not do it. So the reader MUST keep picking down a single path or otherwise very soon there is no content reachable at all. Everything becomes blocked, and so you can't earn more points. You can't earn points on this scene, and so the next scene will be blocked because you didn't earn the previous points.

So a player can not mix and match, or experiment with only certain topics, or skip undesired fetishes. It is all or nothing.

Here to edit my review. I defended this game to encourage the creator but that's it. This is not a slow progress anymore, it is a scam. You will be in andropause when Sophia gets to have sex for the first time

Fantastic soft-core/corruption visual novel, which wont be for everyone.

I've played games before where i have complained that the MC goes from corruption point A skipping straight to point D, without showing B & C. Always very disappointed when it happens.

With this though, while it is very slow at the start the Dev is dedicated to finishing the character development. That's something that has to be appreciated with any storytelling (even when i want my quick fix )

Options are a bit redundant, but nevertheless dose make u feel like your controlling the story. In reality taking the moral route will either skip a scene now, or later on in the story.

-Dosent rush into sex (Probably a con for some)

-Dragged out story at the start
-Some events you feel could have went a bit further
-No sex scenes (which i don't think should be rushed into it anyway)

I was about to skip this update again, as i knew the last time i played it was a very slow story.
But im glad i didnt, as you get a taste of the the corruption/blackmail/les content that's just starting.

The pacing it has now in the last 2 days(updates) is perfect, pitty it wasn't like this from the very start.

Looking forward to the next update.

Sadly I've given up on this game. A Wife and Mother is a game with incredible potential... but I feel that potential was wasted and only a complete remake with a guarantee that we won't have to wait 40 chapters for sexual content could bring me back around.

When I first started playing I had high hopes for it. There's a hot MILF protagonist, she has a son, who has a friend, a cute daughter who also has cute friends, a somewhat dysfunctional relationship with her husband... and opportunities to become a "slut" and "cheat," or fool around with her son, her daughter, and her friends have slapped the player in the face more times than I can count on my hands and toes. But every single time one of those perfect opportunities arise, the game backtracks and instead just teases the player with what could've been.

I wouldn't describe this as a "lewd game," by any means. A more fitting description is that this is a "prude game." It strings you along for hours and hours with little to no reward. Others have described it as a soap opera and I'm inclined to agree... though even soap operas have payoff.

To top off the above, there were a lot of game breaking bugs which meant having to replay 5+ hours of content to get back to where I left off... and it's one of those games that are extremely hard to get through without a walkthrough.

Overall, I cannot recommend this game. Which is a shame, because it was shaping into what could've been one of my favorite games in the genre.

I'd describe this as 3.0 out of 5.0 stars, though that's mostly related to the attractive girls, nice renders, and decent story concepts.

Edit: Something I hear a lot is that the pacing boils down to character development and "fleshing out the story," but it shouldn't take 15 hours to flesh out a story nor develop a character. The quality of a story is not dependent on the plot taking a long time to advance... in fact it is the opposite.

Even though the characters are hot but it's a terribly long and terribly, tediously boring game. I have seen much shorter games with more actions than this. Not to mention the "teasing" scenes are not really good.

Very boring story about a wife (typical cliche story ) you get to go through boring mental monologue to fill in pages and pages , images and images with no exciting action at all, not to mention that there is no sex at all also
choices leads no where, in my opionion the story is going in empty circles just to make it take long and it make me believe the writer has no clear idea what he want to add in the story, one time we see blackmail then other time he says he will remove it.
too bad for a nice renders to be wasted by such bad creativity.

Unrealistic (for educational purpose only) story about decent wife who is neglected by her husband and has to fight for his attention (Good wife path) or do whatever she wants by her own (Filthy path) . First path is not interested by anyone and isn't progressed (in terms of content) much. Motives and thoughts of MC are shown, sometimes they are reasonable and convincing, but most of the time they are not, although dev is demanding the opposite.

Latter EDIT(as of v0.215): After following the game for more than a 5 years, I would like to express my thoughts and experience:
PROS:
1. MC's body and her overall appearance are top notch, which is i think one of the major factors for AWAM's success. Although dev did some controversial "improvements", but latter rolled them back mostly.
2. Quality of renders and scenes composition is rising up, dev is real pro by now. Poses and facial expressions are also very well done.
3. Lesbian content is premium (with Elly especially), although dev overloads (just a little bit for my taste) the game with it.
4. Romantic story with Sam is cute and erotic.
5. Aiden's blackmail is real challenge for her and full of hints for rough, dirty, whorish sex.

CONS:
AWAM is NOT slow burning corruption story, as widely perceived by audience, but rather blue ball story. So main point here is milking by teasing, that's why dev intentionally introduce more and more of ever increasing crowd of meaningless NPCs. Thus he achieves 2 goals:

1. Wherever one NPC is getting close to red line, which I assume is (even near) getting into Sophia's pussy, dev is simply switching to another NPC, so teasing process can be restarted over again. So now game is just set of teasing events with different NPCs without any story progression to anywhere.

2. Development speed is getting slower and slower, as story's branches for new NPC emerge and require additional efforts for support. Right now It's obvious that the game won't be completed in nearest decade, if at all. Intention here is clear: run the game like Santa-Barbara soap opera as long as it possible, providing income flow by the way.

2. For me too much attention to incest and young/old sex kinks.
3. Generally animations are good , but latest animation in 0.211 (2nd job hand job) is weirdly poor with unnatural poses and obvious visual bugs. I hope it will not start bad trend.

So my humble verdict is: The game is worth of playing for free, but keep in mind all milking the game is built around, so don't get addicted for MC and her unrealistic adventures.

Good story - slow progression. The best way to describe this game is a slow boil. There's plenty of teasing to be had so far with multiple routes. The main character is a lonely housewife/teacher that has moved into a new area near her sister. There are strong temptations both incestuosly as well as forced/blackmail. This is a good game - albeit slow updates. Worth playing.

had a lot of fun with this game. Slow paced which I like a lot! Really builds up that erotic tension. Can't wait to see how low you can go to protect your son with the bullies. If you give in to a forbidden lesbian relation with your sister and how you will deal with the mob boss. And maybe later on some more blackmail, maybe some permanent marks of what you've done,, some tattoos, plastic surgery. My mind is eager to see what comes about next.

Dev just uses the same thing over and over, suspense and enticement but gives no scenes, ASIDE FROM THIS SINGLE DAMN ELEMENT!!, the story isn't interesting and isn't on PAR with MVGs ( Just a bored housewife that will get fucked like any FP game VERY ORIGINAL STORY!!!).

Characters are boring nothing out of the ordinary, dialogues are repetitive and just written to be skipped till you get a 'scene', IMO there are many games that deliver a better experience with lower views and cheaper support...

great game with an unbelievable potential but the only problem is the lack of any sex scenes it's only a teaser at the moment so i would love if there's any sex scenes even a deep kiss with the son or any guy (not husband) would be far more awesome

The game is painfully slow-burn: There's hours of content in the game already, but it's all teasing. You get to see some nipple but that's pretty much it. No sex except with the husband.

I wouldn't mind that so much, except the writer never uses 1 word where 100 will do. The game's playtime is padded with line after line of useless, boring dialogue and narration that serves no purpose. Be prepared to use the skip button a *lot*. Whoever writes this badly needs an editor to trim down their script.

All that said, I think this has a lot of potential and I really like the Patricia and Ellie routes, and I want to see Claire get raped by the subway thugs. Hopefully this game goes somewhere interesting eventually.

It's an interesting game but it seriously lacks depth. I feel that pretty much nothing happens during the entire game. Barely any sex, any meaningful conversations, etc. I feel this game has good potential and great renders but not much is done with them. Unfortunately seems like this game isn't really going anywhere with such slow and lackluster updates as well. A shame as there aren't many fem protagonist games.

Many of the character decisions make 0 sense as well. Like Ellie not getting punished for a dangerous prank on her brother. Or the MC being afraid to wear a bikini to sunbathe in the back yard. The MC isn't smart enough to figure out a way to record a conversation or take pictures or get dirt on bullies. It seriously isn't rocket science and it's frustrating to see such logic gaps consistently throughout the game.

I suppose I would recommend trying it? It's not a bad game per say it's just lackluster and has some annoying issues. At the very least, the story aspect does not feel worthy of over $6000 monthly on patreon with the plot holes and logic gaps. I hope this changes in the future and my review with it.

My personal thoughts and important things in a game,to each his own:

Lots of padding and less main story, it also contains so many additional and not necessary images which means you get bored from clicking through almost the same image (slight change of the hand, or fingers...) for the next few minutes

Very slow updates,one every 2 to 3 months,the unnecessary padding time could be used to make updates faster

No sex

Wrong choice of some fetishes.I don't tolerate blackmail.this seems the norm among amateur developpers and writers it's the easiest way to get incest and corruption working

Very bad writing: characters have conflicting personalities,sometime they don't want to swim in bikini with son because they are shy, but when other times they use toilet at same time the son is showering,I am really confused by that logic,or lack of logic!

The main story seems too random and empty and i feel this is forcing the writer to add too many side stories which get you lost and deviate from the original theme of the game , you simply don't know or afraid which options to choose in order not to lose a big part of the story

There is almost no progress in any path of the stories whatsoever

Transitions and back music are a real frustration

Image quality is decent

No replayability

Conclusion: At first this game looks great , but when you play for a while you feel you get disconnected from its experience.this is mainly because of a built up of design and writing mistakes (done by almost all developpers)
I wish good luck to the deveopper of this game and i hope he realizes his mistakes and correct them for a better game and increased revenue on his page.

I wanted to give this game a better review but I could not, I'll tell you why.:

This game is a slow burn which can be a good thing, but this is not the case here, after minutes of play, you feel you want to go to the top X of the window and close it, in other words it becomes boring after few minutes.

The argument of being a realistic story imho is not valid at all in such games, incest is fantasy, it doesn't happen in real life, if it's going to rarely happen well at least not in such a family as sophia's family, it may happen (in extremely rare cases) in a broken family under sad circumstances, for example a single addict father/mother under forms of rape/blackmail... but not in a vanilla/romantic/erotic set, so imo the whole thing about being real is just an excuse to prolong development time.

I was reluctant to give this game a review at all let alone a 5 star one and I'll get back to why. Firstly though the game itself...

The game and characters are beautiful and the premise is great and unique.
It's paced and written beautifully and uses teasing and subtle hot situations to add sexual tension and I really love this as it makes the payoff so much better... in theory. Now therein lies the problem, this game's greatest gift is kind of it's biggest curse too. It's a slow burn. Now slow burns are great in complete games or when development times are quick because the gratification is there waiting for you in the not too distant future but this game seems to be quite slow coming out (not a critisism, just an observation). This in reality means that you're going to blue-ball yourself to a whole new extreme if you're playing this bit by bit for months (potentially years) by playing this update by update.
I think this game has all the makings of becoming one of the best ever but probably only when it's complete or at least near complete.
So reluctantly and cautiously I give this game 5 stars based on potential really more than anything else.

Edit v0.0175: Honestly this might be turning into my favourite adult game ever. It's overwhelmingly tense and hot for me.

I enjoy the more realistic approach that's taken for this game. You get to see the MC develop via choices you made,and it actually seems to provide different outcomes, along with well developed side characters. The renders within the game is really well made, and it's easy to see effort that has been put into it.
