Iirc the unknown woman started to write the MC shortly after he had the option to have sex with Chris's daughter, i guess it should be like that if the MC cheated on his wife and she found out, but didn't told him about it, and wanted the MC to experience what it feels like to get cheated on, and also just agreed to Chris's request after that.

But even without the MC cheating on his wife the story goes like that and therefore makes no sense why his wife wanted to start ruining the MC's life.
I'll assume most of the story might be about the wife wanting revenge for the MC cheating on her, but with the option to not cheat the storytelling becomes pretty broken. Well, you might get away with explaining later on that the wife was sure about the MC cheating, even when he didn't.
The story might be able to get fixed by explaining certain actions, but the MC will still be an unlikable idiot no matter what.

I replayed the game again this update was a little better than previous ones but still left unanswered question and teasing but I found the most interesting though is at the end she decides to smoke with Samuel and Jeremy again and then after he goes through all the messages he gets a text when the wife is in the shower with two videos him claiming to f*** Laura but I guess we'll have to find out in the next update which the dad said it'd be more focused on Laura and have more choices I guess we'll see

From what I've seen there is no Jenaveve content in the game yet:
