Ren'Py - A Wife's Phone [v0.4.9] [Bloody Ink]

One of the best NTR games I've played even in this early state I hope the open world part gets way more love. It is phone base which is a big + for me. with mutable characters that can have interactions with your wife and others

A really cool idea, that feels lackluster and an interface that needs some serious work.
I want to start with, I think the cell phone idea is really, really good. I just wish that there was a significant amount of polish to make it feel more alive. For example, when you click on somebody's camera it says "Can't Connect", why would it do that and not just show a picture of the inside of a purse or pocket? In addition, there are app buttons on the phone, but pretty much none of them are interactive. Expectably for the cuckold route, being able to see old texts, locations where she's been, pictures she's taken, ect. would make the game an immediate 5stars for me. As it is now, it's just, click to read texts, use the map to move to different places (that don't have their own events), and fiddle with the app (but a lot of the time, nothing new happens).
When it comes to the story, it's honestly not that great, but who really cares about that in a porn game? And the sexy stuff, with a little bit of fleshing out of some mechanics, is really starting to look good. The characters and events are a little stereotypical (like selling photos of your wife to make money), but they fit in and at least are not a negative to the experience.
Overall, it's a solid 2.5 of a game, but with it being new and the creator needing to prove that he intends to continue with updates and improvements, I'm only going to give it a 2 for now.
I really hope this games continues development because it has so much potential.

One strange thing is feminizing of the son. I suppose it is interesting for someone. But this does not make a game worse.

Flawed masterpiece. Best phone NTR game by far. Really well done 'slow burn' that adds a bunch of other women to make the slow corruption of the wife less monotonous.

Only flaws are that the games systems are still a little rough (it's only v0.2). There's a very long kinetic novel with a couple crucial decisions component, then it becomes a pretty grindy sandbox game.

The grind is not as bad as many other games and it is well worth the great story telling here.

One suggestion to the dev: make it possible to advance the day from whatever screen you're on. It gets tedious to go to the husband's phone to either work or wait when you're trying to see if the wife has new scenes.

EDIT: Just finished v0.3: Same review. Flawed masterpiece. Things that seem important early on are not. With each update the hypnosis corruption stats are increasingly irrelevant. You never need to make money at the job you work. Ignore all that grind and play the game as you like.

Masterpiece, of course you've to be a NTR enthusiast, still the story telling and the way the game is coded is truly above all other games.. Waiting forward for updates and hope this concept of texts messages goes more viral

I liked that the game has something new and unusual that distinguishes it from other projects. The phone imitation idea is very well intertwined with the developing plot.

Liked: the ability to avoid inappropriate content, well-chosen photos and videos, interesting characters, among which there are both good and bad, applications made at a very good level.

Disliked: Repetitive scenes, some bugs that open up unwanted scenes, inability to control the sound in the video separately from the overall sound.

Bottom line: the game is definitely good, I will wait for updates in order to understand if it is worth it to continue watching it or not

Loved the latest update. Yes, it is different from the previous ones, but nevertheless, it is excellent. There was much more content in one month than expected. The idea of clicking on messages and seeing images/videos is excellent. Now you can review the same images several times. The idea of losing the company is not very clear yet, but from the author's answers it is clear that it leads to a more difficult path to becoming a boss, which appeals to me. Written in very good English. Apart from a few bugs that spoiled the experience, the game has become one of my favorites.

Interesting and unique conceptually; Abysmal writing/story/plot.

As others have stated, the design and tenor of the game is unique and worth praise. But from the start the MC/husband's character is written in such a way that despite him being a CEO of some large company, he has the equivalent IQ of a box of rocks. But the early stage pales in comparison to what happens in the current release. An utterly ridiculous and poorly explained extortion device is inserted into the plot which makes it impossible for me to continue another minute.

Too bad...there was a glimmer of promise with this game.

What am I supposed to do with this, ignore the fact that the most recent update took a turn that made the game less enjoyable? Conceptually, the game is fine, but story-wise it's focus is not in the right spot. It's a 3 because it's put together well, but the writing is a huge turn off.

Given, the sexual presentation is quite flat, but you gotta value the format idea: It immerses well by default. I don't mind plot changes to switch the overall context, but a problem is the vagueness of paths making the player worry about parameters or unclear decisions. The story tool is obviously unrealistic, so I don't mind skips in character development or out of the blue setups that much. However, one of the things that makes you excited IS the detail of corruption over time, mostly through the social media public/spy element which, for now, has almost no relevance whatsoever after the plot change: back to normal, more boring.
One thing the developer should cut out is the repetition of "dates" (black screen) or repetitive messages, it's pure annoyance and I guess only exists to simulate gameplay that doesn't need to be there.

It's quite solid if you're into QOS/Interracial/Cuckold content. I highly recommend if that's your thing.

Could've been more polished with the UI design and what not. It feel like a rush job than anything.

Extremely linear. the writing and dialogues are pretty much what you would expect from a porn game. but still, I'd say that they're no personalities whatsoever in the dialogues. quite boring. hope the devs add skip button for texts that you haven't read.

I like that the story is driven by the DEV with limited amount of choices.. I fear that giving full freedom will lose a lot of the experiences and erotic tension.

Unfortunately is a "real-porn" and I do not like it normally.. but I can excuse because the originality of the game mechanics.

The game is becoming so full of branches, new characters new side stories that it is impossible to really understand what is happening or relate to some of the new characters.

Too much stuff, too confusion, too much choices that lead to nowhere.

Quality over quantity should be the Northern Star.

In my opinion this game lost its magic, becoming a tedious click fest that do not rise the heart beat.

a bit disappointing

I was expecting more free interaction on the phone, instead it was a very linear VN (at lease as of v0.15). There were few choices and there were less about making clear intent choices than minor in the moment reactions. If this is what leads to NTR or not, I'll be very disappointed. What is the point of an app that aids in control if you can't make conscious choices about people? And lets be clear, just because I want MC to be interested in watching other people have sex, does not mean MC would want his wife to participate.

I'd like for the in person interaction not to maintain the phone viewing perspective. I know that it's there because the app is the key to the story line, but it makes it gimmicky to always be in that perspective.

Good start, phone thing isnt bad. It uses porn star images for characters. Will be good once they get to NTR probably, but still in early stages, you might want to hold off playing until more updates.

A unique concept, done fairly well, but currently lacking in content. I want to encourage the developers to stick with this project - it's a really novel spin on the real-porn style, and the phone concept is frankly inspired. If there are other games of this idea that I simply don't know, I implore you to DM them to me.

But, currently - this is an introduction to a good game, not a good game in itself. I give it four stars to hopefully put it on more people's radar, but if I were you, I would bookmark this and come back in a year.

The scope feels attainable, so I hope they don't try to go too "horizontal" with content before polishing what exists now. Right now the game is very linear.

In full: a better concept than a game, but still a pretty good game. Creator gets my full support & endorsement on this project. Right now, too slim to endorse wholeheartedly.

Didn't think the game would be this good. I like the game play, text dialogue style keeps it simple and realistic. Pretty hot so far, nice and slow with the corruption, love the dynamic between MC and wife, side characters are interesting too. Intrigued to see where it all goes, will son get some action with the mum or turn full sissy? Still don't get American's obsession /fetish with black cocks, I'm just in to see the wife gets pounded by white/black/Asian or whatever, just write an interesting story.
Hope this gets updated frequently with the simplified dialogue, sick of waiting for years for a game to finish these days.

The game kind of lost its focus with the sandbox style game play, just clicking to pass time for the next event takes you rightttt out of the story...making it feels literally like...a game.
Starting over every update gets pretty tiring as well.
Going to drop this from a 5 to 4 stars. Probably won't revisit for another 6 months or so. Hopefully things are better then.

Things hasn't changed, it got worst as time progresses, with a lot of unnecessary clicking, checking Hypno messages, repeated dates, and time wasting. Gotta do something about the saved games, I ain't going to do another 5 hours of clicking to see new contents.
I want to love this game, but it's a bloody chore at this point. Dropping another star

At first glance, I thought this was going to be similar to a game concept I had. Disappointed someone beat me to the punch, I was still looking forward to playing it. For better or worse, I was wrong.

The game is extremely linear. Very low on any significant choices or personal agency. Just a series of one-to-the-next clicks of text-text-text that I just found tiring. "Oh great. Another text I had no hand in initiating and no choice but to click through until it's over".
Waiting for the actual interaction portion to start. A point where the user is set free to explore and make their own choices. But it just drags on and on without that. Most of these games can't be built with much choice. But you need to at least capitalize on the illusion of choice in game design to hook the player somewhat. That wasn't well considered here.

The writing also features a lot of implausible actions and thin world-building that take out any potential immersion. You don't feel in any way grounded to a real character interacting with others when the endless rounds of text go from 0 to Pornstar in ten seconds flat. Not to mention run-of-the-mill instagram/porn faces with no real character in them.

Some may like it for the content, but I found this incredibly boring and frustrating for lack of choices or believable, well written & designed characters, world-building, dialogue and game-play, sorry to say. Might as well just watch pornhub and avoid the ugly Kardishian-damaged plastic faces the dev chose for the models in this game. Ironically more interactive than this in at least they have a search bar.

Edit: The game now goes sandbox lite (very light) after a certain amount of time has passed, with several limited selections you can make on your phone and NPC phones you hack into, but half of that is waiting for days to pass to get/see a text. So you'll find the majority of this game at that point is repeatedly pressing the time-forward button to get a repeating text or few-and-far between story update on a route. Still far from well-designed or fun, unfortunately.

Edit 2: Hot garbage as of the recent update. I decided to check back in out of boredom, which this didn't alleviate. Majority of the game is still spamming the time passage button for character phone developments - which are now a total mess, with convoluted story paths directly contradicting each other each text. Not that they had any flavor to begin with. Players with dirt-low standards who like the concept must be what's pulling this through to almost 4 stars. Because there is no pulp here. Just paper-thin strings of implausible dialogue, entirely disconnected from each other.

Based on the skill-level I'm seeing on writing, pacing and game design, it's safe to say this will only devolve and isn't worth another look months or years down the line.

My smallest complaint - which wouldn't make any difference in the playability of this mess if fixed , don't get me wrong - is that the wife is also the least attractive character in an unintriguing list of amateur and pro pornshoot models. Even the already-made porn content they're poaching isn't hot. When the majority of previous IRL girlfriends/spouse are hotter than the main-focus love-interest in this sort of game, you know you're doing it wrong. (Tbh, I edited the some of the photos to a much hotter ex just to try to get one good jack off of this. lol. But there is just way to much media to do it throughout, so mid-tier game wife still kept popping up). Dev couldn't even bother to hunt out and select hotter pre-made content on this for some reason.

The best way to describe this game: An agonizing chore you don't want to complete. "Am I gonna get paid for this?" *gets rewarded with string of bad writing and shitty porno photo* in a text message.

This is a great game. It has tons of great content; really interesting story options; very good pictures and videos; and a really amazing story. I like the nod to the WifeApp story and game as well. Keep up the good work dev!

- the spyware on the phone being able to change the mental state of your wife seems to be a bit of a stretch I'd just as well believe her to become more slutty when she gains more popularity in her fuckstagram
- for anyone anti-NTR it will probably cause a seizure.
