It seems so. I'm just curious, was it known from the very beginning of the update announcement? I really tried to read all those posts on the site/patreon with lots of text. Maybe I missed the part where it said: Guys, the next update:
- will break saves
- you need to start from scratch
- now you need to manage branches to see old content
Did you add yourself to the WifeSpy app? If you didn't then you are down to MtF/Sissy path. I think, because if you don't add yourself then someone else will and at that point you are not really in control what happens to you.
Lot of negative feedback and bugs, but please don't give up on the game Bloody Ink! I love what has been done so far, I don't mind waiting! Keep up the amazing work!
This game is still in progress so you can always assume that the new update will break saves if not stated that it does not break saves. The new added variables and scripts will break the old saves. I already made my mind to play when the game is completed and not before, you are just alpha/beta tester for the game.
This doesn't negate the fact that it could have been warned about in advance. There are many games that don't break your progress or provide the opportunity for progress transfer (at least partially).
As many have already mentioned, this game is quite lengthy, and if there's now a non-zero chance of starting over simply because a new update has broken something and is incompatible, and no one cares that you'll lose a bunch of time to get back to the content you already have - that's sad.
Hey dev. When can we expect the public release here with all the bug fixes. Since everyone is complaining so much about bugs so I have decided to play this update after all the bug fixes because I don't want to feel angry on you. You have developed such a nice game so there is no reason for me to be mad on you.

To add a couple of points - I say that saves are essentially gone not for the reason they migrated to another folder and I couldn't see them anymore, of course, but for the reason the wife disappears from the app as was mentioned here already, and other routes seem messed too. As I kept wife in the app at certain point and just gave away ability to control (issue commands) and she was on almost all available routes (Jenna, work, Greg, son-in-law, Fuckstagram) it was pointless to continue.
If you somehow want to play the game now - do yourself good and use that kind of mod. Don't get confused - I don't know why would anyone give a shit about weekdays as they're never mentioned in-game and nothing is tied to them you just pass certain amount of days to progress, BUT - you can also add a button on top of the screen to the skip time to the next day right away. Tremendous thing that saves a lot of clicking and time. Why the dev hasn't implemented something like that yet is totally beyond me. You need to get to evenings in the beginning of the game to go on dates, but then it gets kind of obsolete and if you agree to meet someone you mostly see the message next day about how it went and that's it. So previously as you approached the end of the current version you might have some days when nothing happens and would still have to click like 4 times to advance to the next day. At least there are hotkeys now available to help with that, maybe I just didn't notice them previously. Still - the button to advance a day beats pressing a hotkey 4 times...
i'd like to say i found the content very good is this last patch. It felt like a flashback (should have been content before i went all out in all the other branches), but the buildup was good and the outcome even better. Keep this up ;-)
the NOT ADDING THE WIFE questline is very bugged, often there are pictures that cause a error and it says needs evening but its not doing anything at evening.

Is there anyway to add a branch back after selecting the end branch option? I ended the wife sharing path and I think I may need to progress in it to advance other branches.
it also lack of contents, such a shame, i prefer not adding the wife tbh, makes it more natural

I think the salim debt route is bugged, Salim keeps telling me that he is disappointed bla bla bla but the wife's part of the event is stuck at Step 2. Wait 0 Days, thus he sends no messages to her, and no videos. Anyone know how I can force it to jump to step 3, and see if that would help ?

The paths are a fucking mess many make zero sense and don't fit at all together and the story its self is still super dumb as fuck.

Bloody Ink - respectfully, I'd like to ask if you wouldn't mind explaining why you made such a drastic change to your game with this update. I added the bugfix helpfully provided, and was able to play through (the majority of) the entire game. I did BOTH paths, "add-wife" and "don't-add" paths.

First, since I'm about to offer some criticism, I'd like to say how much I've enjoyed the hard work you've put into this game. It's been a lot of fun, and you've crafted an exciting and entertaining journey through the story you came up. Kudos, sincerely!
That being said... I don't think I've ever seen a successful, content-heavy game make such a drastic turn from the path it was on. Look, I'm not one to demand realism in porn, so that's not what this is. But the 'don't-add' choice makes the entire game from then on completely illogical. Just about every scene from then on I spent scratching my head in genuine befuddlement.
Maybe I'm the only one to notice this, but the 'don't-add' branch completely destroys the story. Why? Because the MC is literally using the app to turn his son into a woman, is being told by multiple people that the app is changing his wife, and is seeing his niece and his mother drastically suffering mental alterations from the app *in real time!* And while all this is happening, while the player is watching these events play out, the MC is simultaneously dismissing the "Unknown[devs]" as fanciful conspiracy theorists.
Your premise, which was believable enough to be immersive, is completely demolished by having a scene where the MC vows to protect his niece from a mind control app followed immediately by a scene where he tells the developers of said app "there's no such thing as a mind control app, stop bothering me you lunatics!" It's... well, I don't mean this personally (as I obviously enjoyed your game to this point), but it is just really jarring and stupid.
The 'don't-add' branch also drops sooooo much content. Multiple in-game days go by with nothing happening. All the content that was pulled - Kirely/Hearth/Onlyfans/Sola - would do a lot to fill in the massive gaps of idly waiting for an event (since we don't get to see anything going on with the wife in the don't-add branch). I started to look forward to laughing at the MC's absurd forced ignorance about the app, just to have a break in the tedium.
Okay, what about the 'add-path'? A lot of the original game content is there, but again; why remove so many choices? Specific choices seem to have been taken from the player, for reasons I can't figure out. As an example, in this update: there was no option to sacrifice the MC to save the niece; no option to have an affair with Lena; no option to see Kirely again after the first encounter; no option to confront the wife about cheating with boss; no option to stop the sister from hanging with her neighbor.
It's like you decided to turn the game into a straightforward VN, with only one significant choice for the player - don't add, or add. And from then on, the game just runs off its own volition, no input required. I've never seen that happen before.
Okay. That's all off my chest, phew! I'd like to close by saying thanks for the work you put in. I actually plan on joining your patreon to download an older version of the game to keep, because it really was a massive and deep AVN like no other. I'll def be looking out for any games you put out in the future! Cheers!

yeah the choice is gone when you went not adding path for wife, idk what happened with the new updates, this game was my top 3 html games ever
