It's possible to adapt an online browser game and make it offline? I know it's a newbie question but I've been wondering where all those games dropped by DMM and Nutaku go, since they are no longer profiting from them maybe someone could pick them and modify them or it's extremely difficult to do so? Please answer and thanks in advance.

often their developers just close the game for good, and the game itself is gone forever. If you wanted to pick them up, it may be possible to ask the developers(maybe)
either way it would take a lot of effort and resources to pick up and/or modify (they were unprofitable)

If you look closely, sometimes the developer just moved the game elsewhere for whatever reason, and is still running on some other site/publisher

Yes it's possible, if there is server side logic then its more difficult.

With most Nutaku games reverse engineering the server logic would be incredibly time consuming due to the scope of the games. Basic games like Harem Heroes would be pretty easy to make offline, excluding the 'social' functions.

Thanks for your answers, I found strange how nobody modified browser games but now I know.
I don't care about the PVP and such online fuctions but I would like to play one of those games without the annoying energy limit and paywalls.

Talking about browser game reminds me of a great one called Zombie pandemic, unfortunately they closed the game after 2 years i think, many people asked for a offline version at the time, that was a game i wanted.
