Patreon doesn't allow rape, and other platforms have rules against it too. If you use real porn for images, Patreon doesn't allow that either but some devs still get away with it. They would close your account for that if they find out. You'll have to keep it out of the base game and "someone" has to release a "third party mod" for your game with the banned content if you go with Patreon. And you shouldn't refer to that "third party mod" as yours on other sites than Patreon either, they snoop around.

SubscribeStar supposedly responds quicker if you have a Patreon, linked social media accounts and send them a mail about speeding up your application.

I know what you mean. Do you know a similar game that does that?

If I ever develop a game capable of monetization I will probably write the users an in-game message similar to this:



This way you cover all your bases while making clear that Patreon is neither your first preference nor a "hub" for your game.

Definitely a sensible post and one that I will even implement in my game man. But I have a question, I probably won't be able to detect those who send money to my Bitcoin wallet and I won't be able to give them any rewards, right? And is there a platform you recommend for that?

ss officially does not allow real porn but they really don't care and dont enforce the rule. but they want to cover their backs so they will ask you to not show any real porn on your page and stuff like that. kiddie porn cg is considered worse than real porn on any western platform and yet ss allows kiddie porn games like westy's until he was arrested by the police for his game. real porn is no big deal compared to kiddie porn cg.

But this is the reality. Isn't it? It's a platform with strict and rigid rules and many similar examples.

Sure it should be worded differently, but the fact is that if your game has term-violating material, a Patreon page is about as unstable as antimatter regardless. I would choose to be as transparent with my players as possible.

Can dev still get ban on patreon or other similar platform if don't have any not permitted material on their platform and have it for different job? For example on patreon is released 3d models, object, shaders etc. but nothing is used in porn game, but they will know dev make in free time rape game? Can you still get ban even you actually not break any law in our country or in state where they have patreon HQ?
