VN About to publish my first NTR VN

Hi Everyone, I am about to upload my first NTR VN in the next 1-2 days. I'm very new to the VN development and still learning but not new to the lifestyle. Me and my current husband have been living this lifestyle for several years and have a good understanding of how many men think and enjoy the lifestyle in general.

Will really appreciate if everyone shares ideas and thoughts on how to make the VN reach out to more people. I currently got my patreon setup and that's about it. What else should I do? And thanks in advance!

Well you could introduce youself and your game by making a thread here: https://f95zone.to/forums/introduction.11/

And then make an offical thread under the 'Games' section once you get a devlopers badge

Always nice when the dev has real life experience, I also "live the lifestyle" on and off (you know, life and stuff tends to intervene with it sometimes).

Before posting the first release of your VN you should read through the guidelines and prepare for everything.
After you made the first post about the novel, you can then request it to be featured on the "new/updated games" by creating a ticket (report your own thread and select it's updated".

You can then also create a ticket and request a "game developer tag".
For me, the first post of my VM was instructions on how to request the tag.

Not yet, but will be posted in the next 1-2 days.
No Milf character but the FMC has the body of a MILF. I'll introduce one later in the game then

Yeah totally understand, as fun as it may be, life really gets in the way. The 'funtime' is actually a lot less frequent than most people would assume

To be honest, I've never promoted a game before, so I don't really know much about it. Since you already have an F95 and Patreon account, promoting it on some Discord and Reddit channels should be sufficient.

So when I go to the games forum to post a thread, it says 'YOU HAVE INSUFFICIENT PRIVILEGES TO POST THREADS HERE.' How do I enhance my privileges? Or is there a work around it?

Create a support ticket and ask for permission, I forgot I had to do that.

I got a very long and explanatory post in response pretty fast with information, warning about using patreon etc and they gave permission to post.

Please post the link to the game here when done so I don't miss out.

From my experience, The best promotion is letting your game "marinate" on this site for a few years, gather feedback, build a relationship with your audience, polish and improve what needs to be fixed and then, when you have thousands of followers who will wishlist you, go to Steam. Many of the failed launches I see in recent years is by developers who have very little presence on this site, little (or no) interaction with their fans who launch straight to Steam and are surprised to see their sales do not meet their expectations.

Thanks for that insight. I know nothing about Steam but I heard they delist NFSW games left and right, is that true? Also I heard all sorts of scary stories about Patreon and how they can suspend an account despite saying they accept NFSW content creators.?

I am willing to invest time and resources into it. I feel I have the drive, interest and certain unique insights to create VN in this niche. But all this time investment would mean I need to get paid and a potential good income in the future if not in the immediate present. Just wanting to know if the effort would worth it. You do you, but I would follow the pinned guideline post from 2024 rather than an old thread from 2023.
If it gets denied, I think you have to wait two weeks before making a new request, but maybe they are not so hard on first uploads.

Aha, makes sense, thanks so much. I can see the thread is still under game request and nothing has been mentioned so far. Do you reckon I should edit that and add two more download sources there?
