There's a limit to how much the Sagamin will increase the power level. Having Anne do more stuff with the orcs first can boost it a bit further, as well as the event where the monsters capture the southern girl and you decide what to do (if you give her to the monsters, it boosts it even more). If you can't reach 20 yet it's not a big deal. All that happens is a few soldiers show up in a couple of random maps. Otherwise, just wait till the next update where there will be more ways to increase the power (and get it over 20 if you're not quite there yet with the choices you made so far)
Lots of little scene and actions will increase the bar level, usually by one point at a time. Check the guide.
Yeahh.... I know what happened. It has to do with how I changed her portrait display script, looks like I missed one of her scenes. I'm gonna fix it on my end and then decide if I really want to release a quick patch or not. It might be needed in this case since the Sylvia scene triggers automatically and it will lead to people being unable to enter the city map until it is patched.

Yeah this is particularly annoying because it's not even that I messed up a scene, it's that I messed up a single line that happens later on in a scene that I actually DID update properly. Oh well. I have fixed it on my end, but I'm going to wait till tomorrow to release a patch.
The reason I'm doing this is to give people more time to report any other bugs just in case there is something else. If you want to help out, try playing Sylvia's other scenes and let me know if any of them crash the game. I think this should be the only scene with that issue, but it never hurts to be thorough.
If your game file is currently crashing and you can't enter the city as a result, don't worry. The patched version I release tomorrow will fix your save and you won't need to start a new game.

After Sylvia threatens Blondie the game always crashes and I get the following error:

This has already been reported. An update will be out later today to fix it.
Sorry. Didn't see that post. I did a Ctrl+f on slyvia as in the error instead of sylvia.

You can change the name. Just use the True Name spell in your spellbook.

Holy shit, you work faster...there is some games here that still have some annoying bugs and we still waiting for a patch even after 3 months.

My secret is that I wanted to get the update done before the new episode of Attack on Titan was out...

I also made it so that talking to most of the monsters now gives a +1 Monster Power bonus when you talk to them for the first time. This should make it possible for anyone to easily reach the 20+ power benchmark. On my master file I was able to reach 31 power after implementing this change.
Lastly, I added a bonus child which appears after Anne is moved from the Orc to the Sagamin area.

ugh damn it.
this is the exact reason why I waited a day before uploading the fix but I guess that wasn't enough. for now I guess just avoid talking to Sylvia during that scene and I'll think about whether this is worth another immediate patch or not. at least in this case you can still continue the game, you just can't talk to Sylvia during that one specific scene.

The art could always be improved but it's not as bad as the impression I got from some user's posts here. More art to fill in the imagination blanks of some scenes would be appreciated by many I'm sure. Apart from that the game could benefit from some music and more locations as is mentioned by the people with whom you talk to during the hold court sessions(particularly the slut ranch and the two mentioned villages), along with a bigger map to hold them.
Only other thing I can think of to comment on would be that the base resolution of the game window could be increased to allow for ease of viewing of the better art for the future and a bigger map but that's for the future and isn't an issue right now.

art: When I originally posted this thread, I was using my character concept arts that I made myself. The current art in the game (except for one or two things) is done by actual artists. That's why a lot of the early comments in the thread are about the art quality.
more art: I don't know where you imagine art comes from, but this game already has a lot of CG and portraits even relative to other similar games. Obviously in an ideal world every single scene would have high quality art done by my favorite hentai artists. But in reality, that's not going to happen.
music: I don't have any music making talents and don't know anyone who can make music for the game. also, a bunch of people play porn games on mute so it's not a priority for me. If you'd like to compose music for the game, and it's actually good, I would be perfectly happy adding it to the game.
more locations: one of my original design goals was to have a small number of core maps and focus on populating them with as much interesting content as possible, in order to avoid the Skyrim effect of having a wide (but shallow) game world. I have no plans of changing my design goals when I'm already 60%+ of the way through development (or ever, really). Well, no matter what I do, someone is going to be unhappy, but I'm just going to make the game the way that I would prefer to play it if I was a player.
resolution: improving the native resolution of the game is not as easy as just pushing a button that will update everything in the game for me. this is already addressed in my FAQ and has been brought up several times, but the resolution of the game is very unlikely to be changed at this point. it would essentially require (in addition to new code) a complete overhaul of every single art asset that is currently in the game. I'm not saying that is impossible to do, I just don't personally feel like doing it because it's a lot of work and it's not that big of a deal to me.
At the end of the day this game is just something I work on for fun in my free time. Temper your expectations accordingly.

because the remaining sylvia glitch in 0.60b doesn't soft lock the game, and will only affect a small portion of players, I didn't bother to update the topic again or anything like that. but for anyone who hasn't played the kath pregnancy storyline yet, and who desperately needs to talk to sylvia after the scene where Kath gives birth, the patch is here:
You ONLY need to download this version of the game if you want to talk to Sylvia after Kath gives birth to the twins. Otherwise, just wait for the next major update.
