Great question!

The main character for the next game is named Owl, and his base personality is different from Raptor. One of my goals was to make sure that he wasn't a copy of Raptor. For starters, he's nowhere near as powerful. Secondly, I would say that he's a little bit awkward. My goal is to give the player a lot more control over how Owl behaves, and also how the relationship with Rainy develops.

That sounds like your new game is more story driven than ever but then you are saying it will be a sandbox again.
If so are there more girls than the main one you can have fun with?

What about pregnancy content? Not gonna lie this content was/is a huge factor why I come back to APC time and time again despite it's rough edges.

I say how it is but it would be kinda dissapointing if this fetish would be gone with your new game. Given how you want to have the focus on one couple only this time I fear exactly this will happen xD

There is a big focus on pregnancy in the upcoming game.

There will be other girls, but the game will be smaller in scope and there is a much bigger focus on Rainy. The game does still function as a sandbox, but the world is smaller and more focused. There are several main quests that you can play out in any order to want, several sidequests minigames and misc activities.

And also you'll be able to advance and unlock the sex related content at your own pace, using various different methods. IMO one of the biggest and most pervasive problems in porn games is when you're forced to play through a linear narrative AND unlock 'groping, blowjob, titjob, sex with condom, sex without condom, anal sex, gangbang, pregnancy' all in that specific order. From a gameplay loop standpoint, this is the biggest problem that I'm always trying to solve. And given how much control you have regarding Owl's personality, and his actions, not only will the player be able to go for the specific scenes they want, but you should also be able to unlock them using a method that (hopefully) appeals to your specific tastes.

Well, that's the idea anyway. Development is going great so far but I don't want to promise too much! Haha

I hate to be annoying about this but what huge focus of pregnancy content are you talking about?

Like in APC with repeating pregnancys, pregnancy sex, birth and all the shebang or more like impregnation and/or a one time pregnancy with rainy?

Also do you have a dedicated artist (maybe yourself?) for the game or do you intend to have several different ones again like in APC?

I don't want to spoil too much about the game because some of this does actually relate to one of the main plots, but it takes place in a Sci-Fi setting, and fast + repeatable pregnancy like in APC will be possible. I can't really speak for other developers but the pregnancy content in APC was specifically added because it's one of my own personal fetishes and I enjoyed writing that material a lot. So there is basically 0 chance that it will be removed from future games.

As for the art, currently the game uses all of my own art. My art isn't very great, but it is what it is. At least it's consistent for now. I might possibly try to replace it will better art in the future but if I do that again I would like to try and get everything done by one artist for consistency sake instead of having multiple different artists and styles.

Also, for a good example of the "Sandbox" aspect of Rainy Butterfly Window, tonight I was working on adding an NPC who steals women's panties. You can buy and sell used panties by talking to him. You can collect panties around the world using various methods, bring them to this guy, and sell them. If you buy used panties from him, you get some information that tells you about the woman who they were stolen from. Basically this is 90% roleplay driven. Nothing in the game forces you to do this, it's not required for any quests, but it's something you CAN do if you think this is something you'd want to do while exploring and interacting with the world. And this is just 1 NPC on one of the random maps in the game. For people who have a panty thief fetish, this is probably really awesome and fun. There aren't many games that allow you to do things like this, not even among NSFW games. But it's just one small part of this world that I'm creating.
