We're a little perplexed as to why you would use save editor for Academy, since the game features a cheat mode, gallery unlock and "skip to new content" option. You can easily access all content on a new save without using a save editor.

As to how to fix it, pretty sure the error text already has the clear instructions:

1. Open up [Academy folder]\renpy\savetoken.py and find the line (use Ctrl+F):
if token_dir is None:

2. Replace the None with True, so that the line looks like:
if token_dir is True:

3. Save the file.

Unrelated to the save editor thingie, but some people (myself included) would like to enjoy the whole story of a given character from start to finish. The gallery doesn't include all conversations, only the ones that follow up with a sex scene.

So if someone is actually interested in the story after a bunch of updates changed it, unlocking the gallery isn't enough since you skip a lot of interesting dialogue that way.

This is a complete reimagining of Sonya's storyline, which addresses all of the little gripes both us, and our community had with the route, while also maintaining all of the positives, like her bluntness and "straight to the point" attitude. Instead of trying to reinvent the wheel, we simply expanded upon everything that worked, creating in a process one of the most honest, positive, and horny characters we could.

But let's get straight to the point. Sonya is here to ingest unfathomable doses of Vitamin D, and you seem to be the brightest sun around. Don't keep her waiting.

something I've noticed is that despite having changed the girls names back to their originals, i.e changing Reina back to Sombra, it seems to think her name is still Reina. not sure if this is happening to anyone else but it could need a hot fix at some point

SKY IS THE LIMIT!​

As we further explored the idea of implementing a holographic lookalike for Sitara, we realized just how many curious concepts we could try. Not only it allows us to explore a lot of unusual "public" scenarios by playing around the fact, that real Sitara could feel anything her copy does, but it also creates a very interesting foundation for all kinds of group content. But what else can we do with her powers? Imagine what could be done by using Sitara's power to create holograms, and applying it to toys!

The possibilities are truly endless, and we will certainly have fun playing around this concept going further.

Waaaaaait I saw the dev/s talking abt reworking some old scenes some time ago, does that mean I have to replay the whole game now or shoudl I wait? Man what is with my luck, I litteraly played this game at the worst possible time lol. I didn't play it long enough to forget abt those scenes nor did I just begin playing it now that they are reworking them lol.

Should I restart the game now or should I wait b4 doing so (I rly don't want to restart it more than 1 time, especially if I'm not skipping lol)?


Apart from that I was wondering if the stat/s we were getting for our character would have an impact on the game or not?
I mean this is still an ov$w$h parody. Are there some epic scenes incoming? Yeah, Ik I may be part of the minority that want a different kind of action but it's not ov$w$$h without this sexy fighting lol. Plus they are still in school, don't they some tournament or whatever to determine the best prospects of this generation lol. I'm kinda wondering how would the dev/s include the mc in all that, like his speciality and "abilities/skills" while staying true to the game.

Absolutely! We've been working with a couple of artist to bring more life to Academy with background music. We have finished music pieces on our hands, but before adding that we want to fix all the other stuff, like old background art, game intro, character design and UI elements. That's all planned for Overhaul Update, and we are already implementing stuff like new interface for example.

Once we will feel like the game actually works and looks good on a basic level — that's when we want to start adding stuff like bg music, side quests (ACTUAL SIDE QUESTS) and map exploration with collectibles and easter eggs!

Yes, with the amount of text this game has it was impossible to manually check every single instance of the names appearing, so there are a few mistakes here and there. We would really appreciate if you could send us the screenshots of all the places where the names were still wrong, so our programmer could fix it up for the next update.

However we will very soon release a Degeneracy Update that will add content for multiple girls and in the next few months we also plan to add Hanako (Kiriko) into the game and reimagine the whole route of Seraphina (Mercy).

After that we will do a final redesign for Reina (Sombra). Since she was our first redesign, we made a lot of mistakes while changing her looks and want to revert a few changes.

So if you hate restarting multiple times — Reina's Epilogue would be a really good spot! If you want to get the juiciest content as as soon as possible — wait till the Degeneracy Update!

Due to Ren'Py limitations it's not really feasible to add any actual action to the visual novel game. But we do plan to add more interactions with stats and some minigames. But fighting is probably out of the question sadly.

Actually, Ren'py does allow for some fighting. You can either just write it out (for example, Fate/Stay Night's action scenes. The VN style, prose fights you can't do anything to effect), or you can introduce a minigame to it (Bloodriver Saga is an example; such systems tend to be a little jank, but you can do a pretty decent rock-paper-scissors type balancing and it works well enough).

You're not going to be rebuilding Overwatch itself inside the porn VN but you can do a bit of action as a treat if your writer/programmer feels up to the task.

It's Aurelie's route.

It features both NTR and Netori, so first you see a sex scene for a girl who's in abusive relationship and then you steal her from the asshole boyfriend, making sure to throw the evidence in his face.

Though ultimately the ntr is not the focus, and the girl's feelings is what this route is all about — showing Aurelie a partner can actually be loving and caring.

Minigames is exactly the stuff we want to implement, it's just that we don't plan to turn Academy into some sort of MHA power fantasy.

Due to Ren'Py limitations it's not really feasible to add any actual action to the visual novel game.

Wdym? Oh ooo I think I see what you meant, I didn't mean anything that complex lol. I just meant a condition thingy during fight scenes if there were any (like if str>=10 win the fight plus/or if int>=7 win the fight wirthout a scratch... just some dumb exemples),in fight choices.... I think the best AVN game that could illurstrate what I'm talking abt is SUPERHUMAN (made in renpy). I hope you don't mind me talkin abt it, I know some dev hate mentionning another game int their thread that's kinda why I use the spoiler lol. That one prbbly got some better fight scenes than many anime/mangas I'm not kidding. AVN that have actual fight scenes are super rare (ofc I don't include the one that have 2 boring fight scenes that last 2 lines in them).
While it'd certainly please me if you incorporate those in your game I'd advise to 1st make a pool for your supporters to know if it's an idea that appeal to them or not. You should give them a taste though of what you're offering, so maybe make a little teaser of what a fight scene would look like int the same pool post would be great.

Thank YOU for what you're offering, I rly like the "business" attitude you carry yourselves with while managing to keep the passion abt your work.
I talked to some devs and I have to say a lot of them are petty not willing to concede bc it's a "passion project", to listen to their community... I don't rly see a prblm with it, everyone got their goals.

The thing that rly gets to me though is when they are frustrated over the fact that they don't have enough supporters to fully focus on the game. If it's a passion project and only a passion project then you shouldn't expect making some real money (some still do thx to their overwhelming talent though or the crazy kink fandom). If you want it to be more you should have a more open minded approach and be ready to make concessions.
Anyway, I don't want to rant abt that in here, it was just to say I like how yo do things lol.
