Man last time I played was the D.VA/Sombra update... what happened to their designs and name? Copyright? They look so bland.

Usually this isn't a problem, but when someones name is also a regular word... (During the first PE scene)

i have yet to play this update but just looking at this hurts. the main character doesn't look like he fits in with the redesign. if he was at least redesigned to this new art style it would be easier to overlook the drastic change but currently he looks like a 2d character interacting with a 2.5d character. it's just uncomfortable to look at.

The good thing (or bad, depending on how you view it) is that Sombra and Phara are the only ones in a different art style so far.

So I'm getting this error trying to do the new story line in the latest update. Anyone else?

I do understand that they will eventually just change all the old artstyle to the new one, or they will do a small remake to the new designs so the art style is similar.
Have not yet reached the cg of the redesign characters so not sure if they changed it too

How much femdom is there in the game?

2 characters — Freja (Brigitte) and Reina (Sombra). They are mostly femdom. Although Freja in her route has another girl character Charlotte who is very submissive, so Freja's route is 50/50 and Reina's route is very dominating, she's a baddy after all.

Has the custom name feature been added?

As of now - no.

We decided to add that with the UI changes that will arrive with the Overhaul Update that will include a lot of stuff regarding quality of the game: like quests rework, game structure, interface, new backgrounds, music and gameplay features. Lots of stuff to do, so we plan to deliver it in parts. But it felt counterproductive to add a name change feature to later redo it from scratch for the new interface.

So, I've got error after updateing game with newest (free) update, when I'm trying to load game from save from previous version of the game:

We did a very significant change to name structure and Ren'Py REALLY didn't like that, so previous saves are mostly not working anymore. But you can skip to new content or unlock the gallery.

Well Last time I played was in 14.2 and it seems I can't use my old saves anymore and will have to start over.
I come afterthe renames to separate game from OW and only gripe I kind of have is that the redesigns seem to be with a different artstyle than the original art?

I am not saying it is bad art or design is not good but it does clash a litle with older art

Okay, so we have some explaining to do.

First things first — Reina (Sombra) will receive another redesign (yeah, we know, we know) and we will make her sprite to be more in-style with the base game and bring more of her original colors back. Expect something like what we did with Zahera's (Pharah's) new sprite:



You can clearly tell the character she is supposed to represent from OW, but she's unique enough and her sprite looks really close to the old style we're using. And yeah, along the way we made some mistakes with Zahera's design as well, but she was way easier to fix than Reina, because Sombra's whole thing was purple color + cybernetics, so we thought the only logical thing to distance Academy from the OW universe would be to get rid of those two things, and.. well, that ended up turning Reina into an absolutely different character. So in the future expect us to make less drastic changes in our redesigning process and to use art similar to the style of Luca (the latest character we released (a femboy btw)):



So why Zahera ended up looking OK and Reina didn't? Well, plain and simple, she was our first try and we fucked it up. We're sorry, we will do better.

You gave us a lot of feedback and some of your ideas will be included in Reina's new look. We can't give any dates on when we can do that, because right now are hands are full with the Overhaul Update that reworks more or less the entirety of the game foundation, and you can probably imagine just how much time it takes away from all the other stuff we need to do.
