The same reason there are books without pictures, or films and graphic novels without dialogue, or comics without text. It's just one of many ways to explore a medium.
You could try it out to see if you like this kind of format... and if you don't, that's perfectly okay too.
As long as you don't dunk on others' choice of entertainment format, it's all good. There are users that forget that 'this isn't for me' equates to 'I don't like this, therefore it's not for anyone,' to put it politely.

Some people just like text. Literotica.com has been going for over a decade now. Erotic novels have been a thing for hundreds of years. Erotic poetry is probably as old as language.
Also you can do things in text that are impossible (or at least extremely expensive) to make graphics for. There's a scene in Accidental Minds where three super heroes fight a giant robot in the middle of a crowded street, then the protagonist goes searching for survivors in the wreckage. Trying to do that in Daz or Blender would cost thousands in assets alone, plus the hardware costs, and take months to render. Myscra probably wrote it over a weekend.
Some people solve the problem by mixing text with real porn, but then you have to limit your sex scenes to match the gifs you can find or stick in gifs that don't really fit.
It's a niche audience, but it gives the writer a lot of freedom to do what they want instead of what's practical.

So I've read that the nightingale investigation was broke with the la lune part, is it still messed up? And if not how do I trigger it? side note when I tried the console command recommended the quest became an if error and was busted.
Having issues getting Prism to Level 5. Pretty sure disillusionment is maxed out but it's not ticked with Sam when I consult him.

Just to revisit this, NovelAI can get pretty realistic now with the right prompts. I don't have the credit on my account to give an example right now but will generate one when I can.

I haven't messed around with NovelAI at any point, but the way that AI image generation works means that any public service can't really be suitable for creating realistic characters. The only ways to get consistent facial features is to train the model on a specific person, or to use an individual already known to the model. (which most services disallow due to legal concerns) I know novelAI allowed training for its text generation, but even if that is also true for its image generation I doubt that training unique models for each character would be a worthwhile use of Myscra's time.
I'm not trying to discourage you from creating some examples. I just feel like a major drawback of the suggestion to try using generated images is that it will actively detract from the overall quality of the game if there isn't a pretty high level of consistency, and consistency take a huge amount of effort compared to getting one or two good looking images.

I use AI reguarly, it's not that hard to make realistic images these days especially with NovelAI. It requires no training now on their models, just good prompt engineering. I have to wait a couple more days until I can show you that and I say this as an artist myself (pixel art/vector art/etc), the results can be pretty clean and require minimal to no clean up if done well. The main investment is time to refine the prompts and then finding good results. Self-hosted models are easier to control, however, using the first main result as the img2img guide to ensure facial similarity helps a lot.
