Advertising for your own game allowed?

Hey, I wanted to ask if it is allowed to advertise your own game a little in advance.
Couldn't really find anything about it in the rules and I don't want to break the rules right away.

There are threads called "development threads" that are sometimes done pre-release.

Piracy sites tend to bring in a lot of traffic so there are some devs here take advantage of the fact it's a busy site and their games will end up here anyway to shill their stuff.

The more eyes you get on your game, the more chance you have of turning some of those pirates into payers.

There are a hell of a lot of people here willing to back a dev they think is worth their money and there are no rules against advertising your own game as long as you don't go spamming other games threads.

The more you get your name out the more chance you have of being seen.

ive seen the most trash games get like 20k views in 1 day

As others have said, open a thread and post your WIPs and development updates. It's all good, as long as you don't spam-bump it. Once a week lets you get eyes from all the new people while not annoying the regulars. Aim for weekends if you want more traffic.
