Game genre : 3DCG; anal sex; Animated; Big tits; Blackmail; creampie; futa/trans; Groping; incest; female domination (just for futa on male); male protagonist; milf; oral sex; POV; Rape; Sleep sex; titfuck; vaginal sex.

Greetings!

I am currently making an Erotic Visual Novel (not to say porn), and I'm not so sure. Yes I doubt ...

I have seen that it is more interesting for players to create a point and click, but my already poor skills come up against the challenge of achieving a point and click on Ren'py.

I am also encountering difficulties concerning certain types of animation on DAZ.

Here are some renderings made by me.

My question ?

In view of these images, is it useful that I persist, and if so, in which way (P&C, classic VN).

If there are developers who want to help me by giving me tips for certain technical aspects on DAZ and / or Ren'py, I am takers.

Thank you ! :D

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language.

The renders are fine.

I'm not going to tell you what kind of game to make. That's your decision.

Please, for the love of god, get someone to proofread your game before you release it.

Edit: Also, from the looks of the renders: Is the MC waking up from a coma by chance? Please, please, tell me that the MC isn't waking up from a coma.

Thanks for your opinion. :D

The MC waking up for a 4 years cryo-stase.

I'll find a proofreader, don't worry !

Hey hey!

Finally, despite the low number of responses, I opted for a VN with a few phases of free navigation. Not really a P&C like Man of the house or Milfy city, but more like Dream of desire.

I seriously started renpy coding, but I still have some difficulties especially with the relationship gauges for the characters, and to realize the icons of the MC's PC because I'm not a graphic designer, but I decided to do it alone and I'll do it alone.

Good day!

The renders look good, except for the clothes morphing on the left girl, it looks like her jacket is trying to escape and fly off. Maybe an area you could still improve.

Hey!

So as I feel a little more comfortable on Renpy, I plan to implement a system of days and periods in the day, associated with triggerable events than under certain conditions.

We are moving further and further away from the simple kinetic Novel that I intended to achieve at the beginning, and it's for the better!

I still have a little trouble organizing between the navigation phases and the triggering of certain events but it’s moving forward!

That’s all just to encourage myself and keep a little journal of my progress.

Bisous :D

As someone who has played 100s of games on this site over the past 3 years I think I can help you out.
1. The plot needs to have something interesting about it. It CANNOT just be "Guy wakes from coma wants to fuck", or "Guy is a loser and wants to fuck", Or all the other boring starts/tropes. Get creative make a plot that at least in some way stands out.
2. Renders/animations. You dont need animations but if your game has at least halfway decent ones it will make your game way more popular. For the Renders as long as they are not grainy, (which the screenshots do look a bit grainy tbh) you are fine.
3. Don't drag the game out with teasing constantly, its annoying and makes people not want to play your game.
4. Make sure your game has as many fetishes as you are comfortable and capible of adding however make sure all the less vanilla ones are optional. This allows you to cast a wider net for a playerbase without scaring people off.
5. Make sure you keep a good schedule. No one like it when a dev goes dark and doesnt tell anyone anything or keeps delaying the game.
Do these things and I am sure your game will do well.

Ys ! I have a full story with a complot and intrigue, where at first secondary characters seems not important but are a real Keyser Söze.
It is my best skill: The scenario.

At first, I was afraid to do animation, being a complete neophyte on Daz, but after my first, I am much more confident and intend to put one animation per sex scene. And the noise in the renders is a real problem but I opted for longer renditions without noise.

3. Don't drag the game out with teasing constantly, its annoying and makes people not want to play your game.
Okay! Copy!

That’s the hard part of it...
I explain myself. The ultimate goal of the protagonist is a futa and zapping the scene with her may make the game more bland.

Okay !

Thankx for all !

Going to be honest I am super into futa stuff except for futa on male since that gives me a gay vibe. If you do Futa on Futa or Futa on Female I am fairly sure it will be a lot more popular. I have been wanting a good futa protagonist nonsissy game for a while. All the futa protag games seem to be sissy stuff or bad quality/never finished

I am not very comfortable with the idea of transexual on male, so I created a near future a little dystopian where because of endocrine disruptors, women were born with a fully functional penis. They’re not trans, they’re herma. They do have two XX chromosomes and are therefore attracted to men which causes serious societal problems concerning the birth rate, reject by male, etc... and adds depth to the lore.

Yeah Futa is the term for a girl with a dick and vagina. If you decide to go down that route of futa on male then you are going to lose a lot of people including me. However you will find the niche group of people that like that so good luck.

not a technical advise but it is important. i read this in some other forum where an experienced game dev said this is one of the most important things that you write your game's story in advance. then divide it in chapters. This way you won't end up with "man what should i do now" . People not thinking the direction of game in advance is one of the most common reasons for abandoned games as they lose interest in making it themselves.

Anyways, Best of luck with your game. :)

The more I think about it, the more I think I should make a VN whose format resembles Dream of desire.

The first rule of writing a novel, even a "visual novel", is to know where the story is going to end up. That's right, you as a writer need to know the ending of your story in advance, and then write towards that. I get the impression that some devs just make shit up as they go and have no idea how to end their games.

Best advice I can give you, is that you should do what you like and want to do, opinions and criticism are great but ultimately you are doing a game for yourself, if more people like it, great, but since you are the one making it, it should be great for you in the first place

Good luck :p

You’re not the first one to tell me that and I’m gonna be very careful about that point!

Greetings young (or less) players!

Small (or not) summary of the progress of my game.

I'm making great strides and hope to be able to launch the 0.01 in January.

List of modifications and advances :

*Decrease of the rendering time and improvement of the quality thanks to a better control of the stage lighting!

*More than 400 renderings included in the story although very few sex scenes for the moment. Yes, I want to have a well built background in which each sex scene (except for the quickies) will have a context.
No one cares to see the hero fuck the first tramp crossed ... At least not me!

*I find that most VN's lack sound atmosphere and I decided to use it to immerse the player more deeply in the game. Well yeah, imagine the Lord of the Rings without music...

*I've already got the end of my story, even if I haven't written what's in between.

*I don't get into a project that's too difficult, like a Milfy city that requires programming knowledge and organization that I don't have. It's up to me to adapt the type of gameplay to make it as interactive as possible without getting lost and giving up like most over-ambitious creators.

That's about it, I know that I keep this diary online mainly to motivate myself but I salute those who will read me if it happens!

Bye!

Keep it up! 400 rendering is an amazing start. I personally love VN's with well done music and sounds. They can really set the scene. Music can tell you about characters without explicitly spelling it out for the player. It's great you already know how your game will end, that's a part I'm particularly suffering with in my own endeavors. It's good that you aren't getting too ambitious, there is nothing wrong with a standard choice threaded VN. In fact, I usually enjoy them more than the ones that try to create an open world. Keep at it!

Don't fall into these common mistakes:

Everyone enjoys fantasy but keep the story and characters somewhat realistic. Don't ruin the game with an unrealistic fantasy. The most common one is "I have a huge dick and everyone worships it and throws themselves at me for no other reason."

Don't turn all females in the game into sluts. Make it a challenge to score with the main characters in the game! But also, don't tease for so long that the player loses interest.

Keep everyone's body proportions realistic. Don't give females all H cup breasts and guys horse dicks.

Give the NPCs in the game realistic personalities and varied personalities.

The story and characters are the key to a game's success! Make the story and characters meaningful!

If you give the player choices, make most of them matter. In far too many visual novels, nearly all choices follow the same path. There is only the illusion of choice.

As already mentioned, set realistic goals and expectations. Break the game up into small pieces, days, or chapters.

There needs to be some sort of struggle that the players has to overcome in the game. It can't all be rainbows and butterflies (looking at you WVM).

There needs to be consequences for some choices. The harder the choice the better. The choice needs to be more involved other than the common, "who do I want to fuck today."

As already mentioned, if you aren't good with English or aren't a native English speaker, find a proofreader to fix all the mistakes you make. I can't tell you how many games have been tainted by poor English. If you get a proofreader and use one from the start, it will be much easier to maintain. Once you are half way through the game it is very difficult to go back and correct all the bad English.

Good luck!
