I’ve reread this AVN, and I have to say the Redrawn Edition is really good. I don’t care what medium the story is presented in as long as it’s absorbing. With software like DAZ or others that aim for a realistic look, you need high-quality renders along with good directing and scene setup. That can really prolong production and frustrate readers waiting too long for the next update. I’m not sure if this software is faster at producing quality renders, but it seems like it should be. It has its own charm, and the scenes are well staged, the models look great, the ladies are pretty, and the overall production quality is solid enough to support and wait for future updates.
The story is fine. It feels like the dev jumped into the healing process and skipped over the depressing uphill crawling. From the title, I expected a constant inner battle with the creation of the mind “the inner voice” but after a few unnecessary choices where you pick the same answer three times in a row, “the inner voice” is tamed and even supports you. I understand the idea: when you’re at your lowest, you have to remind yourself you’re worth living for, and when faced with risky choices, every part of you might scream that you’ll fail, so you opt for safer options or do nothing. But here, the shift from a suicide attempt to a date with one of four women happens within just a few days, even with the late girlfriend in your mind. I hope this rush is due to the software change and that everything else will have a slower pace moving forward. What I want to say is that it is a good product to wait for and support.
