There is no such thing as an AI Artist.
its still AI that creates those photos or videos.
Users just watches what happends. (passive)
you can get good at knowing what prompts to use but thats it.
I also use AI but only to make my 3D models to move.
i use my own reference 3D created renders.
AI for me just creates what usually take ages to animate in a 3D program.
it creates amazing body/hair/clothes physics and also movements are much better than anyone can do in a 3D program.
AI just saves me alot of time.
i use AI as a "Tool" to take the 3D content to the next level.
But im still an 3D Artist.

ai artists are gonna be a real thing in the future, that's for sure. btw, have you guys seen the recent google ai development? now ai videos can actually talk xD

Pretty much all DJs use existing songs to mix together to create new songs. There are a few that create their own sounds. (I think Tiesto was one of them).

So maybe those people are more like Marcel Duchamp where they repurpose stuff to make their own art? Still unsure I'd go that far for AI though...

You just contradicted yourself since one of the major complaints about AI is that it does the exact same things DJs do when it learns. It examines and repurposes stuff when it creates. Go back to the drawing board for your complaints please.

Which one? There's quite a few of those. We could go with iRobot, since it was the AI of the robots that found the loophole in the 3 laws.

Did I? AI is the one learning. AI is the one repurposing. Not the dude using it. Go back to the drawing board for your weak analysis please.

So, despite the exact same thing happening, it's where it's happening in the chain that bothers you? Really?
dj -> making music -> finds more music -> makes new music.
person -> ai -> making picture -> finds more pictures -> makes new picture.
Edit: I'd pretty much guarantee that there's a new generation of DJs using AI to make their music. Let's goooo.
