It's not Vincent's problem.) This is his special feature. Vincent is a unique developer and an amazing artist. His games are not always clear, but they are always interesting. F95 is full of dumb, crappy visual novels that you forget right after looking at the cover. I have about 5GB of his old games. These are the games that it's nice to come back to.
YEah I do love his artstyle since I first saw his works 4-5 years ago, I have around 27 of his 42 games, one sad thing is, he (or DLsite idk) restricts his games for people outside of Japan, that's why you can't see his full collection on DLsite without a VPN to Japan.

I'm gonna be making a more uploads in upcoming days, unfortunately, many of his games aren't translated so I can't upload them here and the engine he uses is not popular by any means so I don't think anyone in the translation requests thread would be willing to do so much work for such small games. I'll probably still upload them there, maybe some developer in the future who has the translation skills will translate his games.

His art style is very creative. But this game prompted me to dig up whatever software he used to make it (Adobe Director) & use it to mess with the game so I could escape the terrible controls

I like Vincent style... i have a lot of his games, but they need shockwave 8 to play, so somewhere in my pc they are collecting dust lol

He doesn't use a game engine for this game. He uses Adobe Director (an old version of it). You can grab a free trial of Adobe Director 12 and plop the `vct.dxr` file into it if you so wish to translate the game. The Japanese is quite readable (I'd say just a bit above elementary) but most texts in this game are images embedded into that file - so you'd have to replace those images before recompiling.

His coding style is about 10 years behind Japan - which itself is 25 years behind the rest of the world. The god awful randomness of the blue boy in this game is actually due to the fact that the randomness is seeded by time with very low variability.

usually when you've gotten a hit, just keep clicking. For the next 2-3 clicks you'd usually be fine. But after that, you'll have a whole chain of blue boys getting at you every time you click anything. Very annoying yeah

Most of Vincent's games are over 10 years old. Personally, it's not surprising to me that the software used was up-to-date at the time. To put it mildly, it's "a little strange" to make claims against Vincent's games and Japan in this regard. In Vincent's games, you need to be smart and intuitive, because these are really interesting games.
The site is full of stupid crap made on modern software, stupidly click 1-2 times, and in addition to this, various videos, comics, etc. If you don't like Old Vincent, get busy with this crap.
In general, I'll reveal another secret: Vincent's games don't need translation.:sneaky:
Vincent is a unique developer and a talented and amazing artist. It's exciting and interesting with him.

This game in particular is made with a lot of randomness (literally, I looked at the code). There is no statement about "smartness" when 100% is randomness (yes, I checked in the code). If I thought the game was bad, I would not have gone to the length I did to cope with the mechanics. I'd have just stopped playing altogether. Nothing wrong with pointing out the problems with the gameplay. I think it's fair criticism in contrast to the great art.
It's quite interesting when you say that this site has some uninteresting games with just clicking mechanics - since this game is literally that. The girl has a box around her. The box is broken into 2-3 parts. Every time you click a part, you'd have a random chance of triggering the blue boy. Again, there is nothing wrong with that. But drawing the comparison to other "clicking games" is rather ironic. Why focus so much on the gameplay when the game can wholly be redeemed by the art?

And as I've said earlier, the level of Japanese required to understand this game is just a bit above elementary. I could understand 70% of the kanji so it's about where I'm at anyway.

This is without Japanese VPN -

This is with Japanese VPN -
Can't blame the guy, I've heard western moral police has been causing some unrest in the Japanese loli community. It's safer for him to hide it from those SJWs.

Dude.) That's the result of our empty chatter.
I'll be kind to you.)
I don't speak English well, I don't understand programming, but I speak Russian swear words (russkim matom):sneaky:perfectly.
I don't care about your knowledge of coding.
You certainly won't create anything even close to what Vincent creates.
You and I have different concepts of "smartness" and "randomness".
I care about a great product and I'm not interested in its structure.
And finally. I'm not interested in arrogant people. I consider communicating with such people beneath my dignity.

And as I've already repeated, Vincent is a brilliant developer and an amazing artist.
Alles. baazar is over.

Half of my post was praising Vincent with one complaint about gameplay. Why are you reading this wrong, my guy?

Played this a while ago, i don't even sure what i was doing wrong but was a painful game.. xD If I'm not wrong it was a rithm game where the girl had to strip, if you fail the police will get warned, not sure if the had game had some crazy speed or it wasn't able to receive the corrept input but I've dropped it after the first level as you have to restart every time and you have constantly watch all the cutscene from the begin.
