Yes, it's true the Subscribestar is down, for now. But it may be indefinitely, All I can say is as of now wait till I drop the demo, and I'll let you know on how you can support us then. Were super close so just be patient. Unity port will be out soon.

Yea it's pretty bad I haven't found anyone skilled enough to fix it yet, I will be realised XD, so don't worry. I know it's cursed. Both versions are cursed.

well damn...just read this thread and it's a tragedy, OfficialHentakuGames your stubstar is sub $100 now... a farcry from the goal you set last year . Fam I dont know u but pause the manga indefinitely(there isn't enough support for it now) release the game demo , iterate , release more demos build back community interest and trust. Tease Imagery while working on more content for the game( everyone especially the 4k+ mmr creators you want to become) .

Core focus gotta be the game... have that be the flag ship product aka the thing that makes OfficialHentakuGames known/branded.Gather more funds then do anything else.

Saying this because it's also something I am working towards...a manga would be nice but that shit is a money pit even if AI is involved.So instead i'll go the 3d comic route. Not saying you should what I'm saying is those people who command more money and given more money already fullfilled a demand by giving people something they can have an actual experience with(100% of the time it is a game).

Their financial supports have a cult like reverence and belief which keeps then paying even while receiving 2 - 3 lackluster updates per year...but they had to have at least 1 realse and kept teasng with random images and empty promises in dev logs.

check that out , do a deep dives into the creators/games/content/audience receptiveness/various online communities/public sentiment/periods of high/low sub growth etc... You can also shadow Shybox they over 10k monthly and have a drawn manga. Idk if you already know all this

Jan 2024 estimated earnings $183 with under 60 paying subs

August 2024 20x paying subs and got to that 4k+ monthly you mentioned..ending 2024 close to 8k monthly....idk wtf they did but that shit works go do some homework(lol me too gotta know what happened for that massive leap in subs)...and knock it out the park

Unfortunately, he is unlikely to be able to release a demo. He has no prior game experience or team.
Hate to say it but seems like there never will be a demo.

damn as someone who was super into the original alice awakening, I can't help but feel like I would've gotten this game sooner if I tried making it myself. And renpy seems so easy too, which iirc is what the original was built off of. too bad i have absolutely no art skills lol

edit: i lied, it wasn't renpy. still tho i've played around with a couple basic unity projects to make me believe it wouldn't take that long to put something out, assuming starting with the most basic shit and going forward with incremental updates is fine -- at least if just focusing on the dev side of things.
(not trying to flame the current dev, just realized that its been like 5 years since the original died)
