There is only 1 place that looks like that.

Try using ground bomb on any spots that match the photo.

So apparently the town does exist? If so, how do I break my way through? Bomb and landmine don't work

Lava puzzle is required.

I'm not entirely sure the lava puzzle is required, but you do need to go around that boulder until you get the quest to explode it.

The path I'm thinking of takes you through the Marionette fight though and I was doing that before going back to town for the first time.
