I really want to like this game, and I know it's unfinished so a lot of the jank probably will get fixed at some undetermined point, but the platforming feels quite bad, performance is very difficult to get right, because it seems like the game either runs way too fast if I have it running in full screen, or it runs weird slow and floaty if in windowed, the lack of control scheme customization is also quite baffling. The pacing of the story also feels slow to the point of almost being tedious. I really hope the game improves with further updates

Ahem? Sad to see you have performance issues, which I don't. It's great game in general(not just h-game) without mentioned lags, but alas... I had similar problems with other games("ruins seeker" for example). People praise it for quick, punishing combat and i stuck wading lag bog in x0.25 speed slow-mo style... Weirdly this particular game runs smoothly enough for me to play on my potato laptop but my condolences nevertheless.
Platforming does feels bad till you get a hand of it or try the other means(like gamepad in my case-turned out keyboard was my burden and nemesis)
Control scheme customization is present tho? You can effectively remap binds in options. I did. At ver 0.23, but i did. Not sure how it works in current.
About pacing of the story-i myself feel it's good tempo. You as a player decide speed of progression. You can forcerun story naked-nothing prevents you from going for it. But so you can grind your inventory slots, cooking 5 star ingredients, teas and whatnot. And in this case game prevents you from reaching some zones by lack of story progression, but it's alright-done in many other games. Just proceed when you farmed everything in zone, simple.
So my unfortunate conclusion-your experience with great game was marred by performance issues, so you can't rate it as great due to technical frustrations. Yet again, my condolences.

I don't think they're playing the same game we're playing. Platforming is good, combat is good, no janky anything, story progression in just right, no performance issue, no slowing down, no going fast, the only time it slows down is when you decide to spawn like 100 enemies in the shed all at once which wouldn't happen outside of the shed. All I hear is skill issue, something wrong with their PC, and didn't bother to look for keybinds.

It seems like a joint package but I might be misunderstanding it~ it could just be Disgestion in the toggle and didn't read it~
It's all one thing put into a toggle. Some enemies will be able to swallow and digest you if you toggle it on.

From Ci-en:
"In version 0.29, the "Swallow and Digest" option will be added to the storehouse options. This is an extension of λ-kun's abduction action, which was specially implemented in defense battles.

When turned on, some enemies will swallow and digest after being swallowed whole. (The corresponding enemies will be noted in the Alchemy Book.)

Additionally, you can now place allies who fought alongside you in the defensive battle as "guests" in your garage, and these will also be removed. We want you to feel a sense of catharsis when you see everyone's wands lying around."

Nah they're right. The game can have high framerate and yet lag a lot. Whenever the smoke appears it gets atrocious.

I also haven't encountered anything atrocious like lag~ especially when it's the only Application running~ I only get lag when i have multiple Google Tabs open and a few programs running in the background~

Those monsters, if I remember correctly, already have the swallowing part without digest, so really it would just be toggling digestion.
I would like to agree to that but we really don't know for sure~ mainly because the creator could completely change that to encompass the whole Swallowing thing as well~ but I suppose we would have to see~

i want a combat game where theres fun endings to combat, and great combat interactions. Is that so hard to ask for a game to be a game, and not just an ending? I can wat
Edit: ch came cg's on somewhere like orangehub or on a adult manga site if i just want to see endings that go nowhere. Heck, go into any dead end back alley and you'll have an ending that goes nowhere. no one makes a game out of that alone. i think people should stop prioritizing that unless they want to come across as people who dont actually want the game to exist as a game, and only as a Guro CG collection. Seems shady towards the developer to press for that addition too, given my present argument points.

unfortunately, while most of his points are misses, 1 stood out for me: dev might get boggled down and stray from actual game creating. It happened to yandere sim dev before, it can happen again with our dear alice dev. Hopefully it's just my doomthinking and not premonition of disaster, i can be unfortunately perceptive...

It seems 0.29 will have quite a bit more than just the swallowing mechanic lol. Either that or he has already shown that he is working on other things (maps/story) in the same post; there are new enemies as well, but idk if it would be for later versions or not.
Just go look at their Fantia or something.

I advice you to look in Ci-en to see the other stuff that's being worked on, you might need to make an account, but the free plan will give you access to videos and updates on what's to come. And I'm well aware of abandoned games, I doubt this will be one of them. They're working hard on the game and they're not losing sight of progression.

Okay...first off~ That Toggle is for people who isn't into that stuff and that mechanic is currently serving as a "You Lose" when you actually failed to defend against the attack and the school~ as they can only be found in that Mission at this Version (28i)~
Second you gotta give some respect to the creator since he's also putting his playerbase's fetishes he isn't too interested in~ and also since he's the creator he can also add the genres he's interested in like Ryona~
