We will see. We've seen this reason for an on-hold many times now, and in a lot if not the majority of cases the dev either abandons it or doesn't return until much later. At least they have the decency to pause the Patreon billing, but they need to do that one month at a time.
I'm really hoping for this dev to return in a few months, but I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
I know their reason, and I can confidently say this one has never been said by any other dev, and the reason is valid. so at least this time it's not BS, and I've heard them all. one month is not enough for this, so there's no point in cutting patreon billing a month at a time.
(I won't get into what's going on, because that's a private matter and not for me to disclose. it should be enough for anyone to know only tha it's a valid reason. there's no drama, it's just nothing anyone else would need to know.)
imo there's definitely a drive to continue the game, but like the dev said, they need to work on their private matters first.
time will tell if they'll still have that drive after the 3 months over, but I believe they will.
I will not say any more about this. don't ask.
but I hope this sets some minds to ease.
