Save system aside, this feels like it is 2 different games mashed together. The "game" and the "story".
The game itself is fine little flash game-esque dungeon shooter (ignoring the fact that if you die you lose all your progress no matter what). Though a bit grindy honestly. No real variation just keep repeating the dungeon crawl and find a new monster every 3 or so major levels. Very simple, mildly entertaining. Good enough for a bit of mindless entertainment I guess. Just the game alone I'd consider 2 or 3 stars.
The story (and art) on the other hand, seem entirely detached from the gameplay. The only reason you need to play the game is to view the story. It doesn't matter what happens in gameplay. Nothing changes. Just the story and art alone, I'd consider 3 or 4 stars.
However, put them together and you've got a very shitty "puzzle" game where the story/art progression is locked behind a tedious, mindless task. Combine this with the save issue where you need to one-shot the entire thing to get all the scenes, odds are no matter who you are you aren't going to find what you came here for. Which is a shame because it definitely has decent potential.
