Unity - Completed - Alien Quest: Eve [v1.01] [Grimhelm]

Best side scroller hentai game i have played till the day, enter my top 10 in sidescrollers overall.

I have played all of grimhelms titles so far and i can say for sure that he has come a long way from his first game, he has enhanced every aspect of his earlier games from the art to the story line making this masterpiece.

The character desing and stage art are really good and combined with the music it gives a ominous feeling, there are plenty of animations wich are beutifully drawn and animated, with fluids that arent too over the top, plus you can even find other monsters fucking, only thing that saddens me is that some enemies did not have animations.

The gameplay is really fun and adictive i finished the whole game non stop, exploring for new abilities and power ups while battleing agains the enemies and seeing some scenes was a really good balance to not make repetitive, the bosses are chalenging yet fun and acomplishing to beat.

The gameplay is great and the animations are swell as well. My only complaint is that it gets pretty damn hard during the last bits of the game (had to cheat but oh well) I hope to see more games like this in the future 11/10 would recommend.

This one is a good game.
Although I find it a bit short, it is still not bad overall.
We need more games like this one instead of vn's and glorified animation viewer "games". That's all I can say about this game.

One of the best side-scrollers containing good gameplay and good fucking.

Is it the best metroidvania? No
Is it the best h-game? No
But I certainly think it's a great metroidvania h-game.
Playtime: ~3 hours
Good:
+ A definite step up from the devs last action platformer. The game still has it's issues, but it's nice to see that progress is being made.
+ The art is good and the protagonist's sexiness really grew on me
+ There are areas where enemies are busy having sex with each other and won't bother you until they finish or you attack
YMMV:
= Others have complained about needing to grind levels, but I never did? Then again, I tend to both get lost and kill everything I come across. I also dumped the majority of my stat points into luck since there aren't any pickups which improve it so I ended up with a >50% crit rate by the end of the game
= The only plot is what is presented in the intro, and it's fairly standard fare for the genre: dudes were messing around (alien?) tech, everybody died, agent gets sent in to recover the research, kill the boss, and blow the reactor. Still, it's perfectly servicable and far more plot than in the dev's last game.
= There's a timed sequence near the end of the game immediately after beating a major boss. It wouldn't have been that bad, except the teleporters get disabled so I flubbed it the first time and had to beat the boss again.
= I'm not sure why it's called Alien Quest Eve when the protagonist is named Ellen. Maybe it has to do with the biblical Eve? But even then, I think Alien Quest Lilith would be more appropriate.
Bad:
- Areas don't look different. In these kinds of games you'll often be able to tell areas apart because they'll clearly be the research labs or crew quarters, but it's mostly hallways here.
- Spells don't get stronger over the course of the game, so even if there are spots in the late-game where the starter spell should be good, in reality it will only tickle the enemies.
- I often relied on cheese to beat harder enemies, though I suspect that may have been intended.
- You can't attack-cancel with backdash.

Art is good, sex is there, control is butter smooth, gameplay is good but went downhill after many alien from the movie appear then the grind is off the charts. The porn room control is confusing as heck.

This game is simply great. It bloody knows that it's a porn game and it shows. You can even find NPC's fucking eachother without you.

The gameplay is good to a point but past that it becomes filled with bullet sponges. Still, decent, because it has sex integrated right into it.

The scenes though are amazing combined with the art. The *fluids* are especially nice.

Get it, you won't regret it.

Hell, get all the other stuff from Grimhelm as well and support him if you can, he seems to be a very honest dev.

Very sexy game for a side scroller! It is exactly as Metroid (maybe a bit better lol). I was really impressed and i went through the whole game without losing interest. The only flaw is the lack of length but this is a quality side scroller nonetheless. 5 stars for me, i recommend!

Sex scenes are good and its a pretty good platformer, this could be a game without the adult content . probably should actually, would make it more accessible though its largely pretty easy for a platformer though that could be because I played hollow knight before this. just saw that there is a hard mod so the difficulty might not be an issue.

amazing, great super metroid-like game, good graphics, good enemies and great upgrades and interactions whit them, also the story is good (whis is strange in these kind of games), to sum up: highly recommendable

i love the art style of the main character, because she so addorable
weapon effect looks awesome for me, and blood effect after killing enemy i give it 5.6.

about gameplay looks like super mario old style but with abilities
like jumping and attacking with same time, and you can fly above enemy or skipping stage.

For difficulty i give 6.2 because for new player they will get frustrated against Xenomorph, or tentacle. when you move to another area there will always be enemies waiting for you on that stage and that may make it difficult for new players to overcome it, because new players are required to look for levels to strengthen the main character and also to acquire new skills.

and for story I only understand a little of the story in the game.

I was hesitant to play this game first becuase its not my type. i gave it a shot. Was not disappointing, the game play is the best ting about it. Its long too so will keep you occupied or cum-pied for a few hours.

About what you'd expect if you heard "Metroidvania H-game." Just a very low quality version of most Metroidvanias except with sex scenes and the protagonist's clothes disappear when she takes damage. The gameplay itself is clunky and frustrating. The story is minimal. Graphics are okay, the design of the various dick monsters you run into is fine. Sound design is good. Overall though just not a very fun game or very enjoyable as an H-game.

The game is average at best but in comparison with the standar of hentai games it can be said that its good but it really isnt.

Story 1/10

- brief introduction to pretend there is a story but in reality its not existant
- main character basically a robot doll with cero emotion to whats happening around her. She basically doesnt give a fuck about anything. Im amused that she knows how to moan at least when she gets vanilla rpe.
- enemys also dont give a fuck about anything. Just wandering sometimes in groups with no other purpose to wait for you to show up an making your life hard. No purpose or anything.
- You dont know anything that happen in the station, why the monster are what they are, why they just want to only fuck or something. There is no lab notes regarding what happend, nothing. Basically everything is just because and since nobody gives a fuck, you as the player cant be expected to give a fuck about whats happening other than the sex.
- what does metroids, aliens and zombies have in common? i dont know , the game doesnt tell me anything so they just are apparently. In my opinion just a bad mashup of characters all togheter with nothing in common.
- No villains, no motivation and not emotion. Just an annoying trip from a to b to c to d and e.
- You are in a research stations, yet didnt saw any lab related things like computers, research notes, lab equipment. Nothing.
- Lots of boring stages with cero life breath into them.

ART AND ANIMATIONS 8/10 aka SEX ANIMATIONS

- animation are very smooth
- There are lots of different poses for sex that they repeat a little bit. But they are quality at least.
- art is great
- gallery view its sometimes block by characters selection window
- bad targetting for changing animations in gallery.
- tentacles, tentacles and more tentacles, thats all the game over escenes have to offer. Lets forget about the different types of creatures that the game has.
- Lifeless stages


GAMEPLAY 3/10

This is probably the greatest pull back that the game has :

- Dificulty artificialy unbalanced. All of a sudden it skyrockets with very tanky enemies designed to waste your time instead of giving a good fight.
- Enemys dont have being hit animation. Because of these its like we arent hitting them at all. Basically emotionally dead enemies, bosses included.
- Backstep move instead of a dodge move making it useless. You are a melee character yet you backstep like you were a range character. what?
- No balance between skills. Because of these you will always end up using the same skills because they are the most effective. Completly forgetting that the other skills ever existed.
- Bad ending countdown in the end. Its too short time to escape making it very anticlimatic and anoyying. You feel like an unfair pressure rather than a fun one.
- Annoying bosses with their anti damage shields.
- Because of the tankiness of mobs and bosses, mistakes are lethal. Because of these, you are forced to revive by losing permantly 50 hp per revive until you end up being 1 shotted by the enemies. You do these since backtraking to a preview save its a annoying because the fights in these game sucks in general.
- If you have to cheese in order to win fairly, then its not a good game...


Summary

A game with potential, but gameplay, story and bad decisions pull it back a lot. It takes inspiration from games like metroid without really paying attention to what make them what they were. If you are here for meaningless sex, then it would be good for you. Otherwise just a fap and forget game.

Alien Quest: Eve is a 2D metroidvania platformer where you play as Ellen, a galactic agent sent to deal with the alien threat aboard a spaceship.

STORY+++
There is not much in terms of story really. Scientists were doing research on alien technology, something went wrong and you are sent to deal with the threat.

GAMEPLAY++++
Controls feel smoth and responsive, character leveling feels meaningful, the enemies are unique in design and difficulty. Since this is a metroidvania, expect to unlock new abillities like dash or double jump to progress through the game. The map of this game is connected in a way that it is hard to get lost or confused. I will say that there is a difficulty spike near the end of the game, where the enemies will hit much harder. I don't know if the developer wanted grinding for levels to be a core game mechanic, but it could be improved.

GRAPHICS+++++
Excellent Graphics. One of the most beautiful 2D games you will ever play. The character design of Ellen and the enemies is high quality. The levels are also creepy and lifeless, which fits the theme of this game.

SOUNTRACK++++
The game has a good soundtrack. It makes you feel like you are playing a horror game set in space. There are no action themes playing during combat, instead the theme is always the same.

EXTRA
Like i said before, the game does have a difficulty spike near the end of the game. At lvl 40, i still got easily killed by some of the larger aliens, which forced me to cheese the game by using poison to kill them over time while they couldn't attack me. Another thing i don't like is how you are forced to use the spin attack and purple orb all the time once you get them. Most of your attacks and abillities become useless at the end of the game. It feels unbalanced and it really hurts the game because of it.

REVIEW
Alien Quest: Eve is a good game if you are looking to play a 2D metroid platformer. The game has beautiful graphics, good gameplay and a good soundtrack. It starts easy but as you progress through the game it becomes much harder to the point where you have to cheese the game if you can't be bothered to grind for levels. It will take you about 2-3 hours to complete the game, depending on how fast you are.

One of the best metroidvanias I've ever played. Mechanics are pretty simple, map is big, but simple. It's really hard to get lost. There's a lot of different enemies so the game does not get boring after some time.

Artstyle is beautiful, animations are simple, but it is a job well dome

Really outstanding game from top to bottom. Currently completed 5 playthroughs of the game 2 normal, 1 cheat, 1 K-Mod, and 1 Boned mod. I do not have my times unfortunately but well over 20 hours.

This is a metroidvania style game where you also have a leveling system, the skills are not perfectly balanced so the game can be a bit easy if you know what your are doing or willing to grind. The controls are very tight and smooth, and the game is genuinely fun to play outside of the porn aspects.

The gallery has 5 fullscreen game over animated CG's along with 48 animations with speed and stage controls and the ability to have up to 5 gallery animations going at the same time. Most of them are going to be different monsters and machines having their way with the Protagonist Ellen, there are even a few with monster on monster action and a couple other animations in game that a bit more graphic (alien face hugger and corresponding chest bursting scene can be seen in game). You can even interact and fondle Ellen on the pause screen.
The animations are all very beautiful and incredibly smooth.

A decent metroidvania with smooth animations and good presentation. Giant map with secrets and shortcuts, more enemy types than some modern AAAs, upgrade and leveling system. One of the few porn games I'd pay for and I'm not even into aliens fucking blonde girls.
Took me 2 hours to finish.

The gameplay is fun and the difficulty is fair, there are many upgrades and the map isn't too complicated.

Where the game really shines though are the art quality and animations, almost every enemy haves 2-3 animations and you dont necessarily have to die to see them.

It's a good balance between gameplay and sexyness and I can recommend it to everyone who likes 2D hentai games in general.

One of the best made side scrollers. I don't really like zombies etc. but dem graphics, i love teh style, veeery unique. Really recommend playing it even just for the sake of gaming.
