The rape tag used in some games can be very nuanced.
I don't play games that have pure rape as its theme or mechanics but sometimes it fits the setting or tone of the game if it sometimes happens.
NTR games starts sometimes with rape or is very ambigious in its narrative. So even in games in which it would fit, going forward devs need to write around it and make it seem consensual.

Also rape basically means non consensual. So we can't have games with sleep sex scenes, hypnosis ect anymore?

It all needs to be happy flower sunshine and vanilla I guess.

Thats correct but the big question everybody is afraid of (I guess) is basically where does it stop. What stops them going even further and restrict even more you know.

Also as I said pure rape....yeah its bad and pretty boring to play imo but this tag is very nuanced. A shame that it covers so many sexual themes that now can ban your ass/game.

Its not about pretending whether its end of the world, its about the fact that if you allow someone to decide what you like and spend your money on even if its not illegal, that 'Someone' wont limit themselves to just games...this is how it starts.

I agree that some people might over-react, but such people are evrywhere, but in these situations...even objectively its more justified to over-react thn not react at all lol.

Yes? Adult content is only delisted right now and until we know more, we don't even know what games have been removed - though I have seen at least one or two developers post in this thread that their game was removed.
We can only guess what itch is planning but a reasonable take is that itch are right now, going through every single adult game and removing anything tagged incest/rape (etc). Then when they're finished, they'll be listed again in the search and tags.

This is just a guess obviously, take it with a pinch of salt.

Especially considering these puritanical guys will just go for whatever their next target is anyway. Like GTA for example, just a matter of time (though there's no way they can even make a dent on that franchise)

That one can at least be alleviated by the fact that you can just put the content on a drive/Discord so the Patreon itself can still be sfw no matter what. But who knows

i think so but i'm afraid it wil be like a yearly more ban, accodring to these group ideology we can think that bondage, futa, lesbian, gay, trans stuff will be the next target. i have difficulty to imagine them be like "we achieve somthing, let's stop here"

Its naive to think a non-profit would put that much pressure to processors, the more likely reason its that they used the collective as way to further their own agendas.
