I'm already prepared if things go south on SubscribeStar. I might go for ACH transfer instead of Skrill if things end up complex. Skrill transfers directly to the account, but if CollectiveShout bullies Skrill, I might go for ACH, or even update more my GeyserFund. In any rate, I'm prepared if I end up cut off from Paypal/Patreon.

I've got some following on Nostr, which may help a little regarding my projects.

Steam isn't banning all the NSFW content. They are banning non-consensual sex scenes, including sexual violence, rape, etc... and incest - yes, even within drawn/modeled content, not human. This adds to the ban they have on bestiality, minors in adult content, etc.

But there are still THOUSANDS of NSFW games on Steam.

The explicit long term goal of the censorious dicks who are weaponizing loopholes in the law to bypass first amendment rights to destroy the adult industry as a whole- and that's their stated goal, I am not making this up- so this would be disingenuous.

They want steam to ban all adult content. And when I say 'adult' I mean they whined about Grand Theft Auto. Your porn game about two consenting adults having sex for the explicit purpose of procreation, only after marriage, and only after consulting with their minister (MIM and it's spin offs are Evangelical nutjobs who are weaponizing sex trafficking to get what they want, incidentally) is also on the chopping block.

Games featuring CAT GIRLS are getting banned.

They don't give a flying fuck about indie 18+ games, specifically.

The entire point is that it is impossible to prove that any adult game isn't connected to sex trafficking.

I preemptively made (admittedly small) changes to my games. Substar's support is notoriously slow. If they go after substar and a game gets the boot, it could take months to get it back up, even if the changes only took 10 minutes.

I will refrain from repeating the mini-crash out I had on discord about feeling the need to do that. (Probably for a different reason compared to most)

Haven't seen anyone get booted from SubscribeStar. What can happen is SubStar getting rid of Skrill, as the idiots that usually do this gave up on trying to force SubscribeStar to change their rules during the 2020 debacles.
SubscribeStar is as resilient as Odysee, they have 5 payment methods, including direct money transfer via ACH(takes longer, but still better than being debanked). Dropping one, specially if the people who make use of that method have accounts like Nomad, it's easy to switch to another one.
ZeratGames(No Mercy)'s SubStar page is still up, despite the whole debacle.

While you're in SubscribeStar, you can be assured that you'll be able to do anything. SubStar won't annoy you about it. If someone annoys you first, it will be Discord instead, so I recommend getting a Revolt Chat server as a backup.

For me, I feel like my decades long procrastination of making my own adult game has finally paid off. These moments are rare though so I'm sipping it like fine wine that I can't buy with a credit card anymore- and it's been delisted at Starbucks because it's full of incest juice.

Really though, I have been working on art in the background and some light programming. Since I never had any intention of charging money for it or going on Patreon this whole thing doesn't impact me too much, though it's of been cool to publish on Steam or itch.io someday. I may never know now, unless I just take all the fun sex out of it. But then it'd be a bottom tier junker.

Have you really had issues with SubscribeStar? Did they really tell you to remove the posts?

None. Only ever heard of substar removing games that are loli/shota. But, optimist I may be, I owe it to the people who support me to take the realistic approach. And on the more selfish and far less important side, it's nice not to have a proverbial gun to the back of my head.
Having said that, I can neither confirm nor deny the existence of backups that may or may not make it easy to put back in a certain type of content.

Yeah, SubStar kinda uses US laws, so Loli/Shota is out of the question for many platforms. But they don't have the idiot ageup rules that Patreon has.
