Interestingly, Lamy's is the thread I've been using to see if it is still down (It is as of this post) and I'm no longer getting a bad gateway message, but rather a gateway timed out.
I was getting the "timed-out" message last night and this morning. Again, no one knows, and lamythefirst isn't answering any
questions as of yet. I'm sure he knows. The site has been down occasionally the past 9 months, but this is the longest hiatus so far.

APC will be up and running "eventually" I received a message from lamythefirst:
" There is an issue with the host. Be patient, the site will be back soon."
"Good news, everyone!" (y)
When it comes back online, I'll post Billiards V5. I'm actually enjoying the time away ... moderating the group gets difficult
at times. o_O

Greetings. I don't know much about computing (programming and related technology) but searching I found that "backend" is the one that deals with tasks such as storing and retrieving data from a database, processing forms, authenticating users and managing the security of the site. And the problem is in the "backend" host. Which leads me to think that, in the worst case scenario and the server (not the forum) collapses completely, is there a backup to move the entire forum and its content, users, etc. to another server?
As I say, I don't know much about technology and maybe I'm "talking stones."
Good luck to everyone.
