Unity - Abandoned - Almastriga [v0.1.39] [Taboolicious]

Pros:
1. The art is god dam amazing.
2. The tone is very good.
3. Weapon is nice looking.

Cons:
1. Shitty game control (Unresponsive).
2. if you want some porn, ya gotta wait for a long long long long time.
3. it super duper uper laggy.
4. The voice acting is meh... A little bit cringey and no emotional at the same time.
5. you can't even used the shop...
6. everything is just bad in general.

I was told in the forums that the game was just as bad as when it was first added.
I should have listened.
Build 28.
'Floaty' controls. The movement is stilted, and jumping reminds me of the very first street fighter game. The one where they jump in a 45 degree line, lol.
I kept randomly attacking upward for no reason.
I spoke to the first two npc's, which caused them to lock up and not actually do anything no matter which menu option I chose. The shop doesn't open. Buy or sell. The potion crafting as well.
Even with the shield out I would get smashed by fire(goop?) attacks. The pillar of light and blades did nothing at all on any of the multiple enemies I tried to use it on. It seemed to only do damage to the bosses.
The 'foot' physics for jumping on platforms is still completely off, causing the character to either not actually land on or slip through platforms.
I quit after the first boss.

But, hey! At least the art is pretty, right?

Arts are great (from the CG rip, after 30 mins I havn't seen a single scene), but no option to skip dialog, unresponsive controls and way too slow pace to get anywhere. 90% of people don't come to this site for great gameplay, we are here for porn, not to play dark souls

Well, this freaking game works now. I downloaded it again for the third time to try it and it freaking runs. Smoother than melted butter on a baby bum with this potato rig of mine. Albeit I only played for a few seconds after I started a new game but I could only as far as 10 seconds before uninstalling, hence the 4 stars for this build.

only get 3 stars cause of the damn good visuals and for the top notch voice acting (where do you get talents like this to voice a porn game holy hell lol) but its literally unplayable cause it lags like hell and you cannot do anything at least in the options about it... and i still dont know how to get sex scenes playable

First of all, it's a beta and we have to be considerate
Game play:
There is no game play, there is combat and stuff but it's unplayable but there a lot of room for improvements and the game has a good enough foundation so the game play can be easily expanded

General Animation:
It's fine, the only downside is that it's not smooth, not enough frames drawn for each animation.

H-scene Animation:
The only thing that keeps this game going is its H-scenes, the combination quality drawing and smoothness brings characters to life so I definitely recommend to give this game a try, however, if you don't like monsters then you should avoid this game, as it's all monsters.... just monsters.

All in all, it's a PORN game and the PORN side is really good and that matters to me more than game play as a good combination of game play and porn is rare.

This is an example of an incredibly talented artist being coupled with an exceptionally terrible game.

The jumping is very unresponsive, which makes it almost impossible to make it through platforming sections. There are almost no save points, so if you die you are sent back to the beginning of the level. there are only two types of enemies that ever show up, with a few "bosses" that are so weak that they die in seconds. To top it all off, there is almost 0 sexual content. The devs spend more time making a dozen types of shields and spears that you will never use or want. The game has been in development for well over a year, but at their current rate, with their current success, it will never be worth playing.

I played this game a long time back (Around build 1 or w/e) and enjoyed it then but now, w/ recent updates it seems the game's optimization plummeted thanks to the addition of so many effects w/out any configuration for it. It was litterally unplayable for me. Need a beefier pc to play this sorry low spec guys.

Save your time and try something else:

About 30 minutes in. No sex animations or nudity. Plenty of deaths. 1 save. Rage quit when I died and lost about 20 mins of progress because the portal wouldn't work and I hadn't found a bonfire to save the game. Yes, you need to find one and you can't save manually.

Apparently, this game is plagued by what I like to call 'Game of the Year Syndrome'. Meaning the dev invested WAY too much time into gameplay and forgot the main reason people play this in the first place.

Hint: IT'S TO FAP!

The game does a shitty job of explaining... well everything.

I love the artist but I am not willing to put myself through hell to get a couple of CG's. Literal, Dark Souls kind of hell. Not worth it.

Instead of optimising their game, devs keep adding a bunch of unnecessary stuff which in turn makes it more laggy. They couldn't even bother to give players an option to turn all those effects off so they could play their damn game.

One of the best game on the site, definitely needs more recognition so they can have more patrons = faster updates.
Art style is absolutely gorgeus

Animated scenes are the best i've ever seen in this site for 2dcg.

Almastriga seems to have a lot of promise. Although it's in it's early state, it feels fun to play. The controls don't seem as clunky as I feared. There are some early stage bugs of course, like you can get stuck inside certain enemies etc. But overall the game feels nice.

The setting is really beautiful. The atmosphere, environment and the artwork reminds me of Dark Souls, or Diablo (for some reason). And, the art work is really, really beautiful. Some of the best i've seen on any game here.
I breezed through most of the stages I played, so I didn't read alot of the story, but will definitely do that after some more development takes place. The voice acting seems good, nothing bad to say about that.
I like the menu system and how it looks, even in it's current bare bones form.

I will definitely follow the development of this game, and I'm interested to see how it plays out after the stats etc. systems are at place, as the stats you currently see in the menu give a hint of possible rpg elements to come in the future.

Try it out yourself, as the download size is quite small for the installer.

Game certainly has potential, nice art, nice animations, uses Unity, but the controls are abysmal. The jumping feels really floaty and the game tends to glich on occasions. There's still space to improve, the game is still in Alpha and I hope the dev takes criticism/suggestions and improves upon it.

the game is getting really good, the art is still good, the gameplay is beginning to improve observe this version to the previous actually had a big improvement especially now that started putting other characters and a bit of history to the game itself.

Awesome art, fun gameplay, is not so easy, perfect balance. Very cool scenes and great animations. Only needs one thing: show the mapped keys to controls, after that, no problems. Hope that Taboolicious can finish this project
