Okay, I tried this. I honestly did (I even revisited this). This is a kinetic sandbox where the MC is treated like the he's a sidekick. His lesbian best friend is the true main character and it's absolutely absurd. The entire time I kept trying to figure out why the story felt like the MC was just there to observe ... it's because it's an NTR kink. That's exactly what this is. Always watching, rarely participating (a blowjob being the exception). Fucking bizarre. I gave up after the Sidekick (he's not an MC) got back home and found out his mom had been turned into a lesbian by the MC (Kim). That was enough. I couldn't take this bullshit anymore.

Choices are nonexistent with pointless dialogue queues are there in order to obtain specific puzzle pieces at points. Otherwise, zero use. The sandbox ... absolutely useless. What is it with devs thinking that giving readers a sandbox, that for the most part just serves as delay points, somehow adds some depth? Then there's the characters who have about as much depth as a dip and spread stick for cheese and crackers. The Sidekick is a clueless bent who can't judge other people's intentions for shit. Kim (the real MC at this point) is a self-serving piece of shit just begging to get her slit licked by any woman living (I'm assuming dead is out of the question I don't know I didn't get that far) including the sidekick's mom when they find themselves in the past and she disappears, still don't know why it was necessary for sidekick to go, to take his younger mom to a water tower ... THE FUCK?! Natalie, the sidekick's sister, had about as much personality as a bitch in heat just trying to get laid. The MC's mom seemed nice and gaging for it but ... nothing. Just fishing for complements for the sidekick. Penelope, straight in the past, gave the sidekick a blowjob right in front of her mom and ... nope, now she's gay. Basically, at this point I'm assuming sidekick's true ability is to turn all women into lesbians.

Great VN dev -__- . Look I'm not opposed to this idea. You have the building blocks here. You just should make the reader follow Kim because being the dipshit sidekick sucks ass. It's boring and going nowhere. You might as well turn him into a nerd who hides in a closet wearing a superman cap jacking off while his moms fuck. He's not a character I want to route for and with the cockblocking MC it's starting to seem like a cucking VN, which I didn't sign up for.

Sorry, I'm just tired of sandbox bullshit that unnecessarily wastes my time. Why are you wasting my time? I like my time. If I could I'd get a refund on my life you've just wasted. On top of that, this is all kinetic. So why have the sandbox at all. If you want to make a specific story where choices don't matter, take the wheel. Own the shit out of that. Give us a compelling story that doesn't mess around with the extra nonsense and lay it all out. Adding a sandbox and dressing dialogue "choices" up as if they matter makes me think you didn't feel your story was good enough to stand on its own. They don't trigger anything specific and I don't see any other outcomes possible from how this is laid out. I mean, there's literally no way to have this sidekick leave without finding Kim and his mom. Why not? Why can't he just go bone the fuck out of Penelope? If the MC is going to do whatever the fuck she wants why can't he? But he can't there's no alternate outcomes so just take away the sandbox and the illusion of choice and just tell us the story you want to tell. I'm guessing it'll cut down on development time too. So I say go for it.

I decided to give this another shot. The sidekick does get some action. It's decent in that aspect. And it's taking way to long for him to become the main character. lol Still not there yet in my opinion. That opener needs some serious work. It's still a fucked off story that holds no consequences to for his actions/dialogue "choices" so that portion still stands. It's just a kinetic novel masquerading as a choose your own adventure. There's still absolutely no reason for the sandbox and it largely feels like a waste of time. Not just for the reader but for the dev too. Wouldn't it be easier to let this experience be on rails? Just saying. I don't know. It's probably just me. But I will say this. EZ mode for your mini games ... personally I'd just remove them, nothing about these seem fun, but ... but having an actual EZ mode, my dude. Chef's kiss. No joke. Fucking brilliant and thank you. Other things to praise, the models are great. Seriously, I saw a negative comment about the models before trying this out and couldn't disagree more. The milfs are hot and the younger chicks are beautiful. Well done. Overall, this is 3/5. It's not as awful as I thought, still not great, but there's room to improve.

All and all this clearly is not for me as of right now, version 0.8. As always I still wish the developer all the best. I genuinely hope they've found their audience and the support they deserve. If the reviews are from players back in the early stages of the game I get why the dislike, because howdy does this game take a while to get into the action.

If the hate is for Kimberly, I guess I can't argue against subjective taste but I really like the girl, she's a fun addition to the formula of these games, a frequent companion rather than the MC talking to himself. I heard she slept with a female love interest in an early update and that was changed but I guess this is subjective taste again, I don't have a problem with female characters sleeping with female characters, I would have preferred it stayed.

The story ended up being enjoyable, important for getting through the start which lacks the spicier scenes and does time travel well, it is not mess, there are clear goals of what the MC has to do and they set out to do them, and the pay off for 0.8. it's exactly what you want in these types of games.

I expect things will only improve as a lot of ground work has been laid out for even spicier scenes.

I highly recommend for incest fans.

i like interconection between the characters. you can tell that the story has focus from the delevolpers because of the forshadowing and execution of the storytelling. The humor drifts from kind of silly with your science teacher to good with your best friend and her mom. You wont be buried in lewd scene but neither teased. it is a sandbox game but you can put of mini games if you want, but they arent many of them anyway.

Very good game, with a likeable cast of characters, interesting plot and good sex scenes.

I personally don't understand the hate for Kimberly in some of the other reviews, I think she's great. I'd recommend anyone who's interested in the game to play it and form their own opinions and not let these reviews make them potentially miss out on a great game.

While I also liked the dev's previous game, I find the plot in this one much more engaging than in "F.I.L.F." which, to me, leads to much more interesting and meaningful scenes (lewd or not) with the game's love interests and I can't wait to see what will happen next.

Story is i dunno weird mostly i guess, you got MC running around with hes lesbian? friend and considering theres only 4 females to start with and 2 of them are ugly milfs, it really limits any hope for this to be a good game and dont even get me started on how MC can go ask hes lesbian friend dad if he thinks hes daughter wants more with MC or not? i mean seriously?
And it sure in hell dosent help when you see the future of your friend being with MCs sister i mean what the fuck is this game about, i thought it was a male potaganist but feels more like the girl is the main character...and then you see MCs future with some big tittet bimbos i wouldent even touch, game truely went to shit for me personaly, the only girl i had even a remotely interrest in was MCs friend but yeah thats gone bye bye.

What makes it worse is how game talks about having choices but clearly thats just not the case, your already forced to follow a set kinetic path without any choices, why cant devs just put the tag on so we dont have to waste our time if we hate kinetic shit....

They also made everyone brainless MC and hes friend, trying to keep a secret about what they found and they truely couldent do a worse job when asking around about it, its just so pointless and predictable which makes for a very boing story and you can see plots/twists coming from 50 miles away, why not do something diffrent then whats already been done and seen 5 million times before, only thing that comes close to being a supprise is how brainless MC truely is how brainless MC can be when he just opens up to a total stranger and tell her everything, i mean gimme a break, atleast try to make a decent story.

Then they go back in time and meet MCs mother, none of them is even remotely worried if they are changing the timeline so MC will never be born when they start hanging out with hes Mother when shes a kid, hole story just makes so little sense and theres no attention to details what so ever, lets just totaly ignore that the money they are using is from the future fuck its bad man.

Game forces LIs on you as well so you can forget about having any kind of choices, your forced to be with the most ugly girls in the game hate them or not dosent matter cant say no what so ever.

So game is a pure mindless fuckfest porngame with a really poor story and if thought sandbox would give you the freedom to not fuck a girl then think again since quests you need to do will force girls on you, like i said kinetic.

Theres no hint system either, not that its really needed since sandbox is pointless since you just click on where ever the ! is and thats it boring and pointless just like the rest of the game.

Its kinetic you have no choices, they try to hide it being a sandbox but fails.

The game is really nice up to this point. Some folks were saying negative things about that Kim character, and even though I've never played the game before, I decided to join in because it was kinda funny. Meg Griffin effect.

After giving the game a try, I haven't come across any parts that I didn't like, and Kimberly is quite cool. I enjoyed the writing, the story, and everything else about it. The ability to change the timeline in the game adds a lot of fun. Right now, I'm just interested in seeing how the developer plans to continue the story

I played through this a couple years ago when it was on like chapter two and Kim still hasn't gotten any better,

Her character is the single worse thing about this VN. Her character is arrogant, selfish and really not a good friend. She's also like the MC and the actual MC is just along for the ride. Not sure why he doesn't just put her in her place.

This would be better if her character wasn't in it.

Also there are a lot of hoops to jump through which I wouldn't mind if the payout was good enough but at this point it isn't.

I found this VN more frustrating than fun.

v0.06b - so a fairly early version at this point, with many construction zones all across the game. What's there is pretty good, but there are some flaws.

The main strength of Altered Destiny is characterization. The plot's well and all, but it's mostly there to provide a time travel incest fetish and be bone for the meat of the writing, which provides swift, efficient characterization. The people you'll be fucking in this game each have their own unique voices, so even during those first few handjob-only scenes I got something out of them, despite being ridiculously desensitized at this point in my life. The "circumstantial details" of the sex scenes are well-written, too.

The downside is that all of this takes some build-up, during which you have to actually stop and read. If you can't do that, you should probably find another game.

The graphics mirror the writing: Good designs that make the characters stand out, with backgrounds that are more than just serviceable. It's also limited by its own medium, in this case Daz 3D, with all the typical drawbacks of it: some goofy facial expressions, flat cloth renders, that weird transparent hair thing, flawed shading, and a few rough textures.

It does avoid using stock faces you see in a dozen other games, so if you can tolerate Daz in general you'll be fine on this front; it looks no worse than the average Steam-published porn game, and therefore better than most F95 games by default.

The animations have good rigs, with bodies moving and interacting properly and everything, and also have the typical flaw of being "floaty". Also, many of the animations move in slo-mo for no reason at all. I would hope for those to be fixed in a future update.

The gameplay is serviceable, being a non-tedious sandbox with a worry-free day/time cycle. Exclamation points highlight characters you need to talk to next, though they're kind of small in my opinion, and there is a goober to highlight all the interactables on most screens, though it also highlights a few extra objects for some reason. There are minigames, and an EZ-mode that makes them negligible if you want.

The story is delivered mostly linearly. Any choices made are more mild flavouring than anything else, which some will like and some won't (I did). Few, if any, of the girls seem optional, and them "interacting" with each other is also almost certainly going to be non-optional, which many of F95's incel-types won't like, but that's fine, because this isn't a game for them. The storyline, which is the game's main strength, depends on these "interactions" happening anyway, so go play something else if you have the tendency to grognard about the differences between polygamies and harems and whatnot.

Most importantly: there's a gallery! It also shows you which characters still have scenes you have to unlock, because the game doesn't tell you when you've gone through the currently available content afaik.

Overall, a pretty solid start, though it needs many more scenes to be a decent source of cumsies for veteran fappers like myself.

I wish the developer good luck.

Pro: The story and art are very good.
Cons: The main character and Kimberly are the most obnoxious, dumb, and dense characters you will find around the block. They are worse than a japnese harem MC and tsundere girls

I really enjoyed the game. I am a big fan of sandbox games. The story was very enjoyable (I was hooked) although there is a point in which the game goes from story to suddenly everyone is sleeping with you. As much as I enjoy the sex scenes, it did seem a little out of nowhere. (Unless it is an effect of the changes in the past.)

Overall, I do think this game is good and has lots of potential to add more. Sad to see this game was put on hold and I just learned about it.

Another great game from ICCreations. Love the fact he revisited The Artifact with a new story and new characters. Maybe there will be a team-up coming between the MC's from each game.

The only problem I ever have with time travel games, and movies for that matter, is the fact most people don't recognize the MC as being the same person from their past and present. It would be better, in my opinion, if someone at least questioned why they look alike. (Unless, of course, the MC is his own daddy. Then that would explain why the look alike. LoL)

2- MC. How can you being friend with Kim? Why would you even want to be? She's total trash. As the saying goes: you are who you frequent.

3- You (the player) have no choices. You cannot eliminate Kim from existence. You cannot avoid her. You cannot kill her. You have only one choice to stay away from her. DON'T PLAY THIS GARBAGE.

Well I loved this game. Because I'm always into slowburn games. It's a slowburn and story plot is also good. Game is a sanbox but it's not grindy. Got some smooth animations. And models are really lovable. MC's best friend is cute and funny. And there is some nice side stories for that we have to find some things. I didn't played Dev's other games. F.I.L.F was this Dev's popular game but for me it felt like usual incest games so I avoided it. Well I only played that game for short but game didn't hooked me. But I absolutely loved this one. Give it a try if you like slowburn games

One of the most ambitious adult games I've ever played. The concept is great, the renders are fantastic, and I love the writing/humor. It's not often that I play a game where I genuinely like all of the romanceable characters.

Really looking forward to seeing this game grow and evolve.

Excellent game; or at more precisely: excellent story and characters, nice artwork, pretty good writing, some cute dialogues.

Not a big fan of the game mechanics, I needed a walkthrough to avoid annoying grind: Sometimes you know what the game wants you to do, but you miss the exact spot you have to click or the exact place you have to visit to progress (e.g. find some randomly distributed money, a concept I find pretty dumb). With the walkthrough it is basically an entirely linear VN without relevant choices. Usually that would annoy me, but in this case I found the story so charming that I had no problem with it.

I assume that some players might be frustrated with the lack of action the MC can "score". There are several attractive females in the game that are e.g. lesbians or do for other reasons not show terrible interest in the MC. If you expect the usual "just wave your huge cock in front of the lesbian's face and she will come around" narrative then you might be frustrated. I for one am delighted that this game did not take this route. So far, that is. There is of course still the danger that further updates end in some weird harem finale. (I would not have an issue with some bisexual LI turning their attention to the MC; but for me an ending where all the females think their main purpose in life is now to service the MC and, for the MC's entertainment, each other; that would actually be a letdown for me)

(Edit: I really do not see why so many people seem to have a problem with Kim or her role; I find it refreshing that there is a spirited and mischievous and resourceful LI . Of course she is a bit annoying sometimes, but that is part of the story and how it should be. And people complain about the MC being a doormat; I did not have this impression at all.)

Edit2: No idea why people say that Kim "betrayed" the MC by kissing (or, in earlier version, fucking) Julia. Would people be equally outraged if MC had sex with Julia and thus betrayed Kim? I do not really know what "NTR" means, my association with that is something like "MC fucks wife in front of her humiliated and desperate husband" or something like that. That is not at all what is going on here. Neither MC nor Kim nor Julia are in any relationship at this point.
And regarding "endangering the MC's existence": I for one am happy to take the "guardian" thing for face value, if you do not add your own incest phantasies to the story then MC's existence is not an issue, no?
