It's a moral act to steal the source code of abandoned games in order to actually finish them.

Calm down. The tags on this website are almost worthless a lot of the time and the devs can manipulate them.
But at the same time, a lot of developers are not doing that and are just having to deal with life, putting the game to the side.

Well the dev posted Sept 17th on Patreon that they were back to work on on the game and that we should be expecting an update "very soon". Once (if?) the update drops then the abandoned tag can be removed.
