Dev, please, PLEASE hire a proofreader. The english in this game is painfully bad at times. There's a couple times where I can't even guess what the sentence was supposed to be...

From what cash? A professional proofreader will demand pay (unless it's a good friend or a very good soul) for that and since this game is 100 % text and no audio there will be a lot to proofread and more to come with each new build.
Since support for this game is "not so grand at the moment" this won't work and I fully understand that no indie dev will use their own cash to do that. That's what Patreon is for. Get the support, invest money from that source and hire people or use it for other stuff. Ofc some of the cash goes into private life the moment this requires more time than a person can manage to sacrifice for developing a game while having a full time job.

From what I've seen, as a native English speaker, the English isn't even that bad. Just the grammar is a bit off in places, perhaps a few bits of spelling here and there but nothing at all too egregious.
I've always kinda thought I wouldn't really mind proofreading certain games that already have a decent English baseline, just to tighten things up. I've just never properly known how to do it or really offer.
That being said, game's great. Need more.

Native speaker proofreader is very expensive, there are about 45k~ lines of text in the game, so you can find the prices and calculate the final price yourself
I'm sure one day we'll do it, but not today
We've already started editing the text ourselves, you can see this if you compare the old Emilia and the new one.
Now the worst text in the Ada and Ygritte branches, this'll be fixed in the next updates

When will devs stop adding that stupid button-sequence puzzle. It just halts your game and is so unenjoyable, especially without a reset button so you just go infinitely.
