Review for v0.5.1

AlwaysFan is a good romance story that's harmed by a rough execution. I can definitely see why people would enjoy this, but there's issues sort of holding me back from being able to really get into the game. Going to mention here that I'm solely talking about the love paths and nothing else. Also going to mention I only played up to the quiz show, which is towards the end of the first week (out of five).

The protagonist finds themselves down on their luck, unable to really make ends meet. Coincidentally we have Emilie, and old friend from school, in the same situation having just been evicted. MC invites her to stay with him, she essentially confesses her long time love for him, they become a couple, and decide to run an "AlwaysFans" page to earn money. The common theme here seems to be that every love interest is in some kind of shitty situation and the MC becomes their new light in the darkness. As you might expect, also a large focus on photoshoots where you become the photographer for multiple girls' pages.

I think the premise is fine. It explores some uncommon themes in a sort of bittersweet light. There's genuinely some nice moments, the girls can be cute, and it's nice to see the girls find happiness in the MC. The inclusion of an albino love interest is something I don't think I've seen before as well.

Like I mentioned however, I don't think this game is without issues. The biggest by far is definitely the pacing. With romance games especially, I like slower burns. Where time is taken to build up and really express the characters and romance. Though this is a romance game, it's definitely not a slow burn. This game is a fuckfest more than anything.

The first date with Emilie for example. Being an albino girl who's been made fun of her whole life and has never even been in a relationship, I would have loved to see her first ever date as our new girlfriend fully played out. Instead, the game skips it so we can go fuck in a park. That feels like what her entire relationship with us has been really. Instead of exploring all these new things with her, it's like the game said "ok she just loves you now so here's a bunch of sex scenes."

Then we have Amanda, an older woman who seen our photography work and asked us to take pictures for her. During her photoshoot she tells us she's nervous about getting naked in the same room as a man because she had a "bad experience" in the past. Then right after the photoshoot she sees our bulge and immediately gets on her knees for us. It just completely contradicts the character for what?

I'm not sure if the game throws in sex scenes left and right because it felt forced to being a porn game and all, but it's killing it for me. The sex scenes simply are not hitting, again because they are so sudden with these characters I would have wanted to explore much more. They lack an intimacy that would otherwise come from that.

The MC himself you think would be charming to sort of become this positive force in everyone's life, but he doesn't really do anything? He's nice to them and is magically an amazing photographer. That's about it. The game doesn't really explore his character honestly, so I can't say I really feel connected to him as a protagonist.

The only other thing to mention is the dialogue being kind of rough due to the English not being the best, but really I think pacing again hurts it more.

Beneath all my problems with this I do see a story I could have enjoyed. If it had focused on exploring the romance and characters more instead of having to make everything sexual as quick as possible, I think I would have been with it. I just didn't connect much with this at the end of the day.

My very first recession!

Although I've been playing quite a bit this year, I've only just become aware of AlwaysFan. I don't understand at all why there is so little talk about this game here.

The first star for the creativity with which the developers spice up this rather long game again and again - without diluting the thread of the plot.

A second star for the choices. In this game, you as a player have pretty much unlimited possibilities of design.

A third and fourth star for the plot. It's well thought out, and even though it's porn, it could be a story. This, in turn, creates a high emotional connection to the story for me.

A fifth star. And that goes for the loving treatment of the characters. I feel like the developers like all their characters. Even the bad ones, which give the opportunity to make the game exciting.

A sixth star would go to the positive handling of NTR, a seventh to the graphics, an eighth for the texts, a ninth.... Oh, I see! Only 5 stars go. My first recession.

AlwaysFan made it to my TOP 10 right off the bat.

[Review for v0.5.1]

The overall quality of this game merits a 4/5 for me, but it has several pleasant surprises that elevate my playthrough, so a brainless 5/5.

I stumble across this game a few times, but because of the ntr vibe, both from the preview images and from the majority of reviews, and the lackluster renders in the preview (the renders in the game are actually alright, so I suggest a change of the preview), I ignore it almost every time. But after seeing that the game has some kinks that I really like (harem, pregnancy, etc.) and one appreciative comment from one active user that has similar kinks as mine, I decide to try it out, and I have to say it quickly becomes one of my favorite Honey Select AVNs in terms of storytelling.

I only play Love+Harem path so I can't give any comment about the other routes (sub/ntr), but from the scale of gallery and the content I've played in this path, it seems the dev really manages to balance all three routes, and I have a good time playing Love+Harem path, so anyone who are afraid of unavoidable ntr, I can assure you it's not the case as long as you pick the right path (the choices of love/sub/ntr are really easy to see, so I don't think you need a walkthrough).

Also, this game is not a stereotypical harem game where girls act like brainless sluts and whore themselves for you. From the choice of albino heroine (imo this is both risky and brilliant), the topic of body shaming and discrimination against disabled people, the relevance of real life by the combination of human trafficking and the not-onlyfans platform mechanism, to the fact that characters use the platform out of desperation for money and survival, and that some of your LIs can, prior to your relationships, succumb to assholes due to uncontrollable circumstances (so if you want a lovey-dovey experience, this might not be the case for you), this game IS a bittersweet journey for you to experience. But I like it for what it is.

Not much is left for praise. The main story is intriguing, the dialogue is natural, the interaction between characters is genuine, and the sex scenes are varied and abundant with good animation. Overall a really good game in my book.

Finally a masterpiece for us fans of sharing/prostitution.

Lots of choices that let you define your character and different meaningful paths so if you don't like sharing you can avoid it.

You can be a demanding asshole that takes advantage of her naivity, a loving partner that wants to keep her safe or something inbetween.

There might be even a cockolding route, there was a choice you can take in how you feel about her fucking other man but I haven't tested it.

Tons of scenes and really well animated and voiced!

Sometimes a bit wacky english but by far not as bad as most games on this site!

If you are like me a diehard fan of sharing / prostitution and can spare a few bucks please consider supporting the dev! It is so rare to see games cater to our taste.

Super cute heroine and romantic story. You are master. I've read many romantic stories but this is the most impressive. The path of betrayal is so disgusting and requires such a cruel attitude towards her, but it is presented very realistically and shows how it kills everything good inside. You've done a tremendous job. I hope you finish the story and hope to see their amazing wedding.

10/10 game with a SHIT TONNE of content and a LOT of replay value.
Love route is pretty sweet with a bunch of sub routes.
FMC is cute as heck and the MC looks like a goofy japanese boy with facial hair but it grows on you soon enough.
Other women in the game are pretty hot as well.

Well, I'm a Netorase/Netorare fan so the sharing route was what interested me first. If you're into this genre, this is is for you*!

*With a very small issue. To get into the NTS route, you have to a total jackass in the beginning. It also gets a bit dark for some reason but just power through it.
Afterwards, just play the game normally and you'll have a simple lovey dovey swinging stuff that you're probably here for.
The game might turn you off with how much of a jackass the MC is at first but don't worry, he becomes normal-ish later on.
For some advice: Become a jackass, make her do the first 2 escort jobs, then MC will realise he likes her and from then on, you can choose whatever option you want, youll still be on the sharing route with love.

One of the best games I have played in this site. Emily is just such a cutie and a great character. All the other LI's are really good. Story wise it is not very strong, but script wise I think this deliver's a solid gameplay. Also I went on the full love route. Really loved it.

This game is carried out by good dialogues and great LI's. Really happy that I gave it a try. I suggest everyone to play it for sure.

MASTA PIECE

TL;DR this game makes it look like there's something for both harem and NTR fans, but then shows it's true colors. The MC is also the most passive one I've ever seen.
To start with I usually don't go criticizing NTR games, because I just avoid the paths or avoid it all together if it is unavoidable. However, this game seems to have an obsession with playing the gotcha game. It makes you feel like your on a path to avoid NTR and then hits you with sharing, psuedo-NTR, and NTR. Then there's the MC we another dude who is clearly in a bad spot, but has so little self awareness (and not in the I don't know I'm about to get cucked kind of way) about his situation that he's begging to be killed. I mean for crying out loud he makes another character in another Harem oriented game look like an active participant.

Really great game...

I really like the romance harem path.
Don't care for the other paths.
I really appreciate it though that the paths are separate and don't mix.


If you like romance and harem then play this.
It's well worth it.

The only point of criticism I have is that there are some spelling and grammatical errors but those are minor problems and easily fixable.

As someone who hates Onlyfans I avoided this game for a long time. But being a harem lover and seeing all the positive reviews I finally decided to give it a try and so glad that I did. I played the "Romance" path and absolutely fell in love with all the girls but especially Emilie. I was a little put off by her looks at first but she really grew on me as her personality totally won me over.

Great story and gameplay. One of the best Honey Select 2 based games I have played. Really looking forward to the next update and if this developer keeps up the good work then will definitely donate.

Easily one of the best games on here right now - especially if you're a fan of netorase (badum tss). The exploration of fetishes is great, that being said the dev always gives freedom of choice there so it's not as if you're forced into anything. The writing is also pretty good as far as porn games go.

This game is a great! It does have various genres, interesting plot and it's diferent from others VNs that like to follow the same way aways. I hope this visual novel reach it's objective, keep up the excellent work Dev! sorry for grammatical errors English is not my native language.

So after playing through this on v0.4 I have to say that I liked it a lot and there is seemingly quite a bit of effort put into making the two paths of love or submissive seem different. A lot of stuff does happen on both paths with at least on my playthroughs the submissive path being the one that has more extra content.

The story overall makes sense mostly in that there is an overly dependant girl who is an outcast and is drawn to the one person outside of her mother who's ever seemingly shown her kindness, this being the MC.

How the MC in turn handles this is what decides on what path you are on. Do you embrace, love and cherish her? Or do you exploit it and use it for your own benefits?

This is also where the story at least for me contradicts itself a bit in that the MC is showcased to being someone who is very kind and caring. He has also seemingly been that way for years but the second the player get's control and decides his actions we can either decide to continue the way he has been living or just seemingly possess him and force him to go the sub route. Personally I would have liked if there was something that showed why he had changed so drastically that would show up on the sub route to somehow explain why he is like this all of a sudden.

When it comes to the two paths the love path is probably my favorite even though it is a bit of a common trope some times just having a couple building their love for each other and having everyday struggles can be enough. It does go a bit weird with the whole harem thing though with the main heroine being a-okey with the MC cheating on her since she always dreamed of him having a harem and him being a part of it anyway. Which is not to say there aren't any open relationships or multiple partners relationships in real life.

Heck like a week ago I read about a married couple where the wife had fallen in love with a guy at her workplace and then since both the husband and that guy were bisexual as well the three of them started a polyamorous relationship and the wife having a bunch of kids with both of them and they are apparently living happily together. So it's not like "harems" don't happen in real life. Though in this case I have to say with how dependant the ML seems it feels more like she found out the MC cheated on her and was scared he would leave her so she made something up and then it just snowballed out of there, which honestly would make a lot of sense with how her character is portrayed.

When it comes to the sub path depending on how the MC decides to go this can go either from the MC just treating her badly, as his sex slave, being her pimp, cheating, swinging and even NTR against the MC. Though the NTR is very short and eventually just leads to the ML being reinforced on the idea that she can only depend on the MC.

There is a lot of build up on this path which makes it actually seem plausible compared to many games who focuses on this type of content. Since in this game at first the ML won't have anything to do with this and then the MC is just constantly pushing her into more and more depraved things while treating her like dirt (depending on your choices of course) which can eventually lead to her becoming somewhat of a nympho or starting to be stolen from the MC. Compared to many other games that just has the plot be something like Mega chad appears and has a bigger D and rapes the ML and then she just instantly becomes his sex slave or she's blackmailed and then after just a few more times becomes his sex slave. So again even though the sub path shows some pretty disturbing things and is not my favorite it is good in it's own way because of the build up and an at least sort of believable story around the subject.

When it comes to the gameplay it's a pretty straight forward VN where you just pick between 2 choices for the most part which often boils down to two ways depending on your path pretty much. If your on love path it's mostly do you want solo heroine path or harem path with a few chances to switch to sub path while on sub path it's more of a do you want solo/harem sub path or pimp/swinging/NTR sub path with quite a few chances to switch to love path.

The quiz show was honestly in my opinion a bit too hard as in it's like an actual quiz show lvl of questions and while you can just use the hint system to get the answer for each question it would have been more fun I believe if the questions were not so darn hard. Like for me going the love path I had to complete the 6/8/10 right out of 10 questions part or get a game over and luckily at least two of the categories are areas I am fairly knowledgable in namely animals and video games but even then I had to google/cheat on some questions. Now again this isn't to say this is bad it's just that I believe for the average player it would have been more enjoyable if the questions were a bit hard but at the same time were mostly questsions that the layman could answer or would know. This is however a fairly small part of the game and again the game gives you a cheat sheet if you so desire.

Getting a bit longwinded here but all in all I'd say this is a so far great game and I'm looking forward to whats to come.

I had quite regular expectations because I am not a fan of ntr but I was surprised for good by very good content and a story, although quite convenient, entertaining, in terms of sexual content it is very complete in all aspects and its duration denotes the work of the author, I really appreciate that the story progresses quickly in the sexual content without seeming particularly forced and the choices feel quite precise there are few irrelevant choices being almost all very direct, very good graphic quality and animations.

Not everything is perfect the interaction of the characters outside of emilie is quite regular causing you to lose the thread of their stories and in the part of the questions the number of them seems a bit high to me

With all this I consider that the game is a 4.5 but since I don't know if it can be put that I will put a 5

The love path is exactly what I want in every game. Amazing. The dudes look super weird, but who cares about the dudes. The submissive path isn't for me, but that's why they are different paths. Highly recommend.

The story is good and interesting and it have some drama. The decisions matter, in the story and in the relationship you have with the girls. The bad thing and why I rate this so low are the quizzes, it make sense that they are there, but they are so many that the game feels more like homework than a game. because it ask you about the world war 1, the war of 1812, and a lot of things that you won't know because you aren't an encyclopedia or a history book. This game has the same problem that other game in the forum, where you are dating a girl in a museum and she ask you about art, "who painted that?", "what it represents that paint?" "is this abstract or what it is?" The answers I gave her were "I don't fucking know, I'm here to have a good time, nor to teach you or take a test." And then I unninstalled that game in the same way I just did with AlwaysFan.

First, I love the idea of an Albino LI, I can't recall any other VNs featuring one so that was great.

However, Emilie's features are far too cartoonish. Her body is unrealistic, and her face is very, uwu-anime-ish.

The dynamic between her and the MC on the romance path is very wholesome, but the constant sex is a bit annoying, because said sex scenes aren't anything particularly amazing, just fine.

I also can't stand harem games, so as soon as the open relationship thing got mentioned I audibly groaned.

On a positive note, this VN clearly has passion behind it, as well as having A LOT of content thus far.

I'm sure you'll like this one more than I did, but I'm going with 3 stars for the effort.

Actually fantastic. I've only played the romance path, but there are several paths available.

Renders are okay, but most of the girls are fantastic. Favorite body is Abby, who we've only just met and is unfortunately a side girl, but while she may be a 10 there are at least 4 9's to induct into your harem. Animations started a biz hazy (lower res?), but improved overtime.

I like that, since the basis of this story is running an AlwaysFan page, that you get some interaction with that outside of just some dialogue. Would be cool to add more functionality to it, but still nice as-is.

The story does not disappoint at all. The LI's have history - some dark, some dark. There is a main LI (Emili), but it looks like she might even be optional as the rest of the girls are. Choices 100% matter here. We meet the antagonist early on and the hatred towards him develops over the story. And man, I can't wait to bring him down.

Minor spelling/grammar issues, but nothing that can't be overlooked in the face of this story itself. Definitely give it a try - it won't disappoint.

This game reminded me the reason I play these games. You can play as a romantic ; my least favorite way of playing. I loved playing the corruption route. There were a plethora of scenes, but it made me care about not going too far in corruption. Also it makes sense that the girl's face is weird because of her backstory. She was bullied and ignored by her peers because of the way she looks. It wouldn't make a lot of sense for her to look like a model in the face after leaving school because that's not how life works. So if you complain about how her face looks go look in the mirror.

This game is great in every way except for the female MC's model. It has a good amount of choice and replay value. Some of the sex scenes are really hot, and the photoshoots are great.
But the female MC looks like she has some disability. Almost ruins the game...
