Well, I don't know what exactly you are asking for. If you want a one simple solution for every visual novel game out there, then that's impossible. If it's about Amakano 3, then you use Garbro on Amakano3.pfs file and extract the script folder with all the script. Then you can just use notepad++ or some other text editor to directly edit the script or use VNTranslationTools for example to extract the text into json or xlsx file. Then you can just translate and then reinsert the translation with VNTranslationTools. Here is the japanese script:garbro doesnt work for alot of the games i tried t++ requires everything to be unpacked as for the others i have not tried
which would you recommend? (something that can connect to local api)
prolly to big for local but i got a decent speed so i could maybe do something with it worst case i just use gemini or something probably be a mix of the two tho with gemini i might not be able to give context because it will eat tokens up like nothing

If you ask about a tool that will put the japanese text through the choosen LLM, then I personally don't use those. I just copy the text and put it into the Claude or other LLM chat, with some dictionaries and good prompt, then edit the lines manually as I read the text. It feels more accurate to me than using tools. But there are some tools available, like GalTransl, AiNiee, etc.
