Ren'Py - Amnesia [v0.100 Remaster] [Super Alex]

This is just a visual candy with a wack story. The renders and animations are absolutely profound. And the female models are really attractive. But sometimes the camera angles and music can be too jarring and over the top.

Now when you think about the concept of someone having an ''Amnesia" and trying to find out their past little by little, there's bound to be a lot of mystery. This one had so much potential but the execution is weak as hell. Instead of looking for your past, developing your new character and relationships or figuring out what lead you to a Coma, the protagonist is just constantly kissing his mother's and sister's shit all the time.

Seriously this mc is the most spineless beta I've ever seen. He can't even defend himself against his own family who constantly dump their problems on him the moment he comes home from hospitalisation, nor can he take a stance. The only thing he does is being a Creep. I gets it's a porn game but Jesus this guy has nothing on his mind except melons and cakes. And when a female comes near his vicinity, he constantly freezes and starts fantasizing about their body like seeing a 'women' for the first time in his life. All this dumbass does is peek on others 24/7 be it sleeping, changing or sitting around breathing. There is no sexual activities to play for other than you getting drugged and raped which is very unsatisfying.

Moving on, the story paints the female characters having some secrets or mystery to themselves but why isn't there a path to explore any of their character?? Like seriously on top of being a very slow burner like very slow, there is no character progression with any of them. The game's been out for 2 years but there is no friggin development yet nor has the mc recovered some of his memories.

Finally why integrate a open world/point and click system when there is no plot progression to explore? It makes the story even more boring. And the quests are just a fuckin hindrance. Overall this game is just a waste of time.

I like the corruption aspect and the mystery portion of the story. If the author continues to keep it down to earth and simple, it'll be great! Fingers crossed that they don't try to make it something crazy and ruin the experience.

I'm going to keep it a buck fifty here. This game annoyed the hell out of me. The MC is unbearable. I get this is a porn game, and I am being generous when I say porn and game here, but can he interact with a female in the game without having his mouth slightly open staring dead eyed while wondering if he can grab a handful of ass cheek or peep a womb? I like the character models, especially the brunettes, but why does the MC look like he is 15 and with the scuzzy ass hair? It's like going from Gucci to the GAP. Why in the world is it free roam? There is so little actual content and free roam just makes it feel all the more empty. Just give us the tried and true house layout in the bottom left.

If you like playing a meek character constantly pushed around by women, including genuinely vicious mental and/or physical abuse of someone without the physical ability to defend himself, you will like this game. If you are looking for something else, you will appreciate the animations, but otherwise will likely not like this game.

The story is not as far along as I would like it to be to get fully invested, but what is there is solid. Interesting mystery set up. The more you play, the more you wonder what sort of person really was the MC, or his loved ones?

But most importantly, this game as genuinely some of the hottest LIs I've seen. Looking forward to how this one progresses.

Well.. Renders are good, animations are also pretty good, characters models look pleasant. So what is wrong then? Everything else.

Let's start from the genre and desctipion. 'Can he recover his memories and reconnect with his loved ones?' No, he fucking can't. The game is 2 years old(I take date of this thread being created as date this game started) and so far still leads straight into nowhere. Not a single damn quest can be finished yet. God dammnit, not a single relationship there can be archieved, and I'm not only thinking about sexual relationship. Oh sorry, you can finish changing the faucet and finish going for a date with your ex. Date which ends in massive blue balls.

Which leads to another thing. I saw tags like Cheating, Romance, Corruption? Are there any of this? No, not really. Cheating? But how if he doesn't even kiss anybody. Corruption? He must first start to have any form of relationship with somebody. Romance? I guess he got kissed on the cheek once, an that's all of romance this poor soul is ever given.
But hey, this is adult game, so, he's gotta have at lest some sex, right? Well, yes, bur actually no. Absolute peak of MC sexual performance is to lick pussy through panties once, and some time after he can also molest someone when she's sleeping drunk. Any other sexual behaviour he can be engaged in are equally so or even more disguting and less satisfying. Let's see.. we have peeking, peeking again, more peeking, foot licking(at least this one could be avoided), getting nurse to jerk him off because of phimosis, and for the culmination, he's getting drugged and raped. Great setting for adult VN game...

Now let's talk about the story. I played everything there is, and there wasn't even a single moment when I was content. Not even once. Every character only keeps dumping all of their bad experiences onto MC (which suggest that he'll have the opportunity to help everyone at some point). Yeah, people have tough lives. But why in the world everyone keep tormenting guy who just woke up from 1 year long coma with amnesia? And why literally everybody gives a vibe that there is some HUGE BAD THING behind of how they act. Not even a one single character with positive input into MCs life. And Mc just takes it all, with his sheepish behaviour. How can anybody enjoy playing this kind of game? Another weird think, you're bringing back home a guy who just awakened from long coma, a guy with amnesia, a guy who can barely move because of muscle athropy, and you're telling him straight "you've gotta be man of the house, now get your tools, you've also gotta do all fixes and repairs now". Like WTF?

Somewhere in the middle of the current built I felt like amount of shit that other people brought into MCs life was getting smaller. First I thought things will actually getting better, but no. That's just avaible content for all the characters ended. And boy, amount of plot avaible after more than 2 years of development is really not impressive. For some quests you can have abut 5-10 interactions, but most of them ends with just two or three. And another funny thing about the story: the whole 'Mystery' is just here, because everyone refues to tell MC what happened. No actual mystery, but just people being assholes and refusing to tell him enything.

This also could lead to another question, and another problem. Does he even ask what happened? Well, at least he tried. But he gets answers like 'this is not the right time' and just lets it go. He's to much a pussy to even push somebody verbally to answer him. This man doesn't have a single shread of masculinity in him and just lets everyone else to push him around. He's struggling with his (not normal) feeling to his family? It could be acceptable, but if his friend/cousin offers him a hug, he can't hug her back because of confusion, but peeking and mollesting her in her sleep is totally OK? Among other things he also gets ordered be another cousin, swallows back insults thrown at him, let's go of stealing his laptop.. Sometimes he says the right things, but sadly only in his mind. Everything that leaves his mouth just dissapoints me again and again. Jesus Christ, I can even imagine this guy being more pathethic than he already is. The amount of times, when I just wanted to slap that little bitch is too many to count. Please, please let him grow some balls.

Also without walkthrough mod progress at some point was almost impossible, because MC needed to find a lot of small things on different scenes, and effect when mouse hovers over clickable objects is almost unnoticeable when it comes to smaller stuff.

Oh, and if you have sandbox with not-so-much-content, what will you do to make the play longer? That's right, make multiple encounters needed to progress multiple quests to be avaible only on the same part of day, especially Midday. And in the same location. You know, sandbox, because your last interraction was in this one specific room, you've gotta waste your time to look everywhere else first, and then next event is in the dining room again.. And again, and few more times.. Therefore most of the time you can do exactly one thing with one girl every day, then time goes forward to evening, it's too late to do another thing in house, it's too late go go working in the mall, and boom, another day wasted because you need to go back into Midday again.

The renders are nice, so are the animations.

BUT my main issue with the game is the stupid story and the MC. He may lost his memory (another one..), but this shouldn't give him the right to act like a retard all the time- I guess "cuck" is the right title here, which I find disgusting and annoying.

If it would have just been about the gallery of images and scenes, this game derserved 3 or even more stars, but it's about the overall gameplay after all- and the game fails here.

The animated sex scenes in this game are nice. The scenes with the sister were very well done. The multiple options and angles make it feel more intimate. Rarely find a game where i am attracted to every potential love interest.

The story is not very good. But (nearly) the worst part is the sandbox!!! Impossible without a walkthrough and a complete waste of time! But even worse is the atmosphere of the game. You constantly experience setbacks, are treated like shit (I hate the sister, alone because of the reason we can't reprimand her the game loses a lot of good faith with me!) or an immature child, you are told that waking up from a coma was something bad and since you are a WIMP you accept that immediately without much argument. The game doesn't give good vibes, it makes you depressed or aggressive, maybe both, and THAT is very bad for a video game!

Ok, so where to start so many things about this game for me anyway. First off Wow I love the Renders in this game and the eyes on the MCs mom Alexandra and Kate and Elena for me Wow!. The renders again in the close-ups WOW! the animations Again Wow! the bodies on the women here in this game may be the best I have seen in any game. Now I will say this is the first time I have played it as of Version: 0.85a but for me, I couldn't stop playing until I had done almost everything that could be done. I want to add I am not a huge Fan of Fendom but I have branched out to some of them and for me as someone that doesn't only like Fendom this game is Awsome!. It also has just a few sound effects when it cums to the sex scenes, see what I did there soz I felt I had to say that LOL. Jokes aside I don't know how long the time is in between updates and I will be losing a part-time job very soon that allowed me to support a lot of games over the past year I feel that for the quality of game here I can at least throw a few dollars there way even if it's only a month on their Patreon as the game was Great for me anyways. And thank you sooo much for the Walk-thru you saved me a lot of time, when I can I will at least throw some money your way. That being said the scenes with the Boss Lady Rei with the drug rape of you the Employee was wrong on soo many levels but I will say for the Story it was right for me anyway. Plus I really liked the sex scenes with her but in real life hmmz. As far as Fendom games go this for me is the best one I have played the MC does get stomped on a lot, maybe not much for ppl that love what I guess they call real Femdom but that for me maybe isn't what I like anyway. that's not the point what, but I really liked what I saw and played and I only hope that at least the ppl that maybe arent into severe Fendom like castration and such even if they are would think this is a really good game I really like that the MC as a male has what I think is a chance to be with the girls in the game in a way that a male player would like at least most and also be Dominated at times by the girls. As for the story and how it has been presented I really like it. for me any way Great Job dev and I really am looking forward to your next update even if you don't read it here as I know some Devs don't like this site.

Loved lucky mark but this is extra super blueballs and i dont see it going anywhere in a year or two if it keeps going like that.

There are lots of good points about the game like renders but toal blueballs-> nope.

The game's biggest selling point is it's amazing renders, everything else about the game is very mehh.
2 years of slow progress later, other developers have caught up and renders are no longer the elite of porn games. Which makes this game no longer a real stand out game.
The lack of "hardcore" content in a 8GB game is also a big let down.

Things that I loved:
~Girls are really really really amazing and not just one but all of them
~Animation is one of the best in any games I've played so far
~Story is good not the best but good

Things that I hated:
~ Impossible to play without a walkthrough
~ Very difficult things to find (puzzles) which don't add anything to story
~ In-game walkthrough is absolute ridiculous, it doesn't provide any guidance whatsoever.

Summary: Although the game is amazing (one of the best) the reason for low rating it it's way to complex for an adult game, I don't want to solve ridiculous impossible puzzles while following a story without any guidance, I don't wanna go back and forth with the walkthrough and the game all the time and if I solve the difficult tasks I expect a reward which didn't happen in the story so far (eg: Finding glue, paint and stuff was impossible but after finding them there was no intimate scene, so what was the purpose of doing that?)

Anyways, Super Alex is known for making unnecessary lengthy games with amazing renders, that's what he did with Lucky Mark (Which I still haven't finished, maybe one day I will) and did the same thing with Amnesia.

Wow, I can't believe I created account here just to rate this game.. its my first review here and I want to say that this is masterpiece I love free roam games where you can actually move around, look underskirts, find panties, smell them etc... this game completes me (literally) i played Lucky Mark before and Amnesia really raise the bar for future games , the free roam is pretty good with absolute stunning renders... the story awesome at least for now, but i would like for the MC to be more brave and ask some questions about what happened to him he is acting a bit retarded.
Every girl has different personality which is really good as they all act different like real a person would do, Kate is charming, adorable, always with a smile on her face and compassionate , Elena on the other hand is pretty badass girl it really shows dominance and i totally love that. Also she is the most pretty one (my preference) the mother is not that hot but everyone has a taste i suppose.
The current state of the game is pretty good.
The grammar i don't have a problem with it as it really doesn't bother me or change the mood also i'm pretty bad at it too so I can't talk about it.
The teasing really builds up sexual pleasure and the dev is making pretty good job with it, overall I give it 5 stars because its one of the few games i really enjoy playing!! Keep it up !!

Things I like in this game;

I was thinking a while about to write a review,... iam very ambiguous about the game...

First of all, i cant really say "how far" we are with this game... the version number suggests we are late in the game... but it doesnt feel like that, kinda feels like still "early". If you would put me on the spot... i would say, about 40% done maybe? And of course, version numbers means shit.

I played lucky mark, overall i liked it, but there were many things about the game i didnt like... but it was clearly above average, so i watched this one too a while, but waited some time until i decided to play it... so far i dont regret it.

The story overall is... meh, i wasnt a fan of "amnesia" plots in the first place..., films, books, doesnt matter, most of the time the "amnesia" plot annoys me. Same here. But i guess... it works. So, meh... but not that bad.Its an easy excuse to make things "mysterious"... well there are better ways to do so. But nevermind... it works, thats it.

What i dont like is the MC... everybody hides many things, not just any things but essential ones... they are family (of course i used a patch, but its clear anyway) and dont act like one. If i were the MC i would say to them "fuck you all, tell me whats going on or iam out of here" family or not... sorry i cant stand such a behaivior. And it makes the MC very unbelievable, dont think anybody would act like him if his family would hide just everything and dont talk to him. Only Kate is somewhat ok in this department, but far away from beeing trustworthy.

Yeah i get it, its kind of the story, to live with amnesia in an "not trustworthy" environment, but as the MC i would act in a whole other way, and i think you should give the players some options to choose in the dialogues, and not just to get points for different lewd scenes.

The MC is weak too, way too weak, he is overall a slave to his mother and sister. Doest or question anything. There are more scene where i rolled with my eyes than not. Told myself so many times "man up and say something, come on" But... no... and it doesnt match how you can act then with the girls if its getting lewd... there he is overly confident. Either he is shy and weak, or very confident and tough, it cant be both. More than once i thought he has a split personality, but maybe it is that way? But i dont think the author is good enough to pull that off... cause the overall writing is not so good.

The dialogues are overall not that good... below average i would say. grammar is not good (but i dont judge here, mine isnt good either, not my native speech) in comparsion to lucky mark, i get the feeling the english translation was made by another writer. Dont know about that... but the dialogues are not the same niveau. And nothing to laugh either.. there are some attempts to put humor in the dialogues, but no, they arent funny. The Monologues are jsut too much with no usefull infos in it... at some point i just skipped them, cant stand it to read 10 minutes about oggeling breasts. Yeah, i can see them myself. And the other monolgues where the mc is reminiscing what happened is useless too... cause, it just happened while i played. I dont need to reminisice what happened 5 minutes ago. Doesnt add anything good to the game.

The sandbox and free roams are really bad... the game would be far better without them, or you need to make them way better. For me, like this, a HUGE minus to the game.


Now the really really good parts.

The characters have a great varity, in looks and personality, and all of them are interesting... i really want to know what they are hiding, what the connection between the mc and the other girls is and so on (obviously there was already an sexual relationship with all of them in the past, but its "gone" cause of the amnesia)

About the looks... wow, just wow... the models are awesome. Really really great work, everysingle character in this game looks just great. Even the mc has natural good looks, just the "average" guy but thats perfect. Still good looking, but not the overly perfect guy with an already installed chick magnet.

I just unlocked the gallery via mod and saw some scenes i didnt get in my playthrough... like the kate scene in the bed of the mc. But man... fuck... maybe the best lewd scene i ever saw in any VN so far. The animations, uff... fucking great. and i have to say, not the same "pussy" you can see over and over again in every single VN around here... no, its realistic, and unique looking... Evas too btw... in most other VNs every single girl has the exact same pussy model... always wondered why, only differences was pubic hair. And to be perfectly clear, yeah it does matter in a lewd game, very much so.

Overall the animations are just freaking awesome. Top work here... this game is worth playing just for the looks and animations, so much is clear.

What i also like about the game, the overall sexual tension all around... the mc is attracted to all the girls, and of course he is, who would not? And here the amnesia got the only GOOD thing about the plot... the mc KNOWs he shouldnt feel like that towards his family, but cause of the amnesia the "blood relation" does not kick in and so he isnt really conflicted with it... for the mc, all the girls and ladys are basicaly strangers he just met, family or not doesnt realy matter in the sexual atttraction this way. Makes it plausible i would say. Of course he know its his family, but the feelings are different. But other than that... we all know, there was something going on between the mc and all the family members before the amnesia, so... overall it doesnt matter that much in the end. But it makes it more believable that the MC is attracted by his family members... most of the "incest" games here are kinda dumb, out of the blue the MC wants to bang his sisters, mothers and so on... and all of them want that too of course. The build up here is way different and more plausible, i like that.

Many people around here i imagine would complain about the "teasing" and "blue balled" part of the game, but to be honest, its fucking great and works perfect... everything else would just feel off. The DEV sure knows how to build up sexual tension. really nice. I like that.

Overall, i think i like the game, but its hard to decide how many stars i should give, as i mentioned before... It has many good things (animations, renders, character varity, sexual tension, iam really curious what everyone hides... some things are obvious, some not) but although there are many bad things... (the dialogues are not good, the mc doesnt act consistent, the choices are just for points to differ the lewd scenes, nothing more... no influence on the behaivior of the characters or the story, the bad sandbox and free roams and some other things)

So... its kind of in the middle of a good and a bad game, normally i would say 3 stars, but man... the animations and renders and sexual tensions are so good, would be a shame to give just 3 stars for them, but overall they cant really make me forget about the bad things... so not 3 stars, not 5 either, so iam giving 4 stars, but overall i would say 3,5 would fit better, cause there are really many bad things about the game, just as much as good things.. but the good things a REALLY good, just awesome so to speak, while the bad things are things that you can see in so many other games around... so, yeah 4 stars will make it. To get 5 you must get rid of the bad things i mentiones, especially the bad sandboy, free roams, and inconsitency of the MC.

One word about this game animations and sex concept is muah!!!

I liked the first game, but man so far Alex hit the ball out of the park with this one.
The animations are top notch, yes amnesia might be a bit of a cliche, but so far the story is pretty good and i felt like i wanted to know more.
The eye candy is also top dolla.
