Ren'Py - Amnesia [v0.104 Patreon] [Super Alex]

Definitely 5 for me. Super Alex has probably the best renders in adult gaming (in his previous game Lucky Mark and this one). There are several just as good of course, but I haven't seen many projects that have better graphics.

There were several problems with Lucky Mark though: 1. Unity Engine. 2. Too many grind and time/day skipping. 3. Some problems with writing and language. And as I see it: all of those 3 problems are gone. At least for me. It's finally a Ren'Py. I haven't seen a single instance of grind so far. And I hope if there appear some "stats" in the future that you would need to improve it wouldn't be too grindy as well. The writing also became a lot better. Not 5 out 5, but definitely a strong 4.

And to people complaing about a dude behaving like a horny teenager... in a porn game?.. seriously??... c'mon!.. yeah, it would be much better if he answered to everyone: "we will have sex only after a marriage, young lady... and only to sire our offsping..." and "mom! what are you wearing?! you are a decent grown woman! you should be ashamed of yourself! never do that again!".. jeez...

So all in all - I'll sure recommend this one. I thought the developer went for a loooong vacation after finishing Lucky Mark. I'm glad he is back!

PS. Also I would like to see not only Elena (not "rejuvenated", but as her former self), but Christina as well. She was my favourite.

PS. Would be awesome if he could make a RenPy port of Lucky Mark as well.

The renders and characters in general look fantastic. So, this game is beautiful even for an initial release. I also like the set up for the game. Rather than the generic single guy in a household of sexy women, at least there's an explanation as to why it's like that and we learn who those girls are along with the MC.

However, it has other problems that detract from its value. The first is the fact that the MC goes over what's happening in his thoughts for far too long. It's not just current things either, the writing is such that he's replaying events that literally just happened minutes before. Fine, you did something, I was there, I saw it. I don't need another 250 words to tell me what I just witnessed. The other and more annoying issue for me is how ridiculous the MC comes off. Is he 12? He's excited and retarded about everything. Wooo, look at that, such a sexy bare leg! Oh my god, I'm just going to grab this girl, whom I don't know from Eve since I've been horny all day! What the actual fuck?! I would be fine with the option to do that being there, if you weren't FORCED to do it and act like a 12 year old Stiffler that had his first boner.

So, no this game is not a 5 star game. In appearance, most definitely, but the MC alone deducts two stars. Hopefully it gets better.

Decent game with FANTASTIC renders. My main gripe with the game is the author seems to try to pad scenes just to get more words. Many statements are repeated 4 or 5 times for no apparent reason (I dont want to say what to avoid spoilers). If this was just a few scenes it would be fine, but it is nearly all of them. I hope as future updates come that the author will keep dialog to repeating two times at most for emphasis.
