Introduction

I've recently had a game idea and decided to put it out onto this forum to see what people think. I will probably not be making this game as I don't have the relevant skills, but devs can feel free to use the idea or strip parts out and use as inspiration.

Introducing: An Incestuous Pact. The core idea of the game is a sandbox mother/son incest game. The game would be a more traditional game with roguelike elements as opposed to a visual novel. In this game the player will have a set amount of time to impregnate the MC's mother, perhaps around 2 ingame weeks or they will receive a game over. In order to achieve this the player will need to carefully choose actions in order to manipulate the stats of both the MC and his mother in order to change their relationship. They will also need to tackle random events which ensure that no two playthroughs are the same and which keep the player on their toes.

Plot Synopsis

The MC is an ordinary college student (around 19-20) studying at a local college while living at his suburban home with his single mother (around 43-45). Both the MC and his mom would be designed to look average. For example, the mom would have some signs of age like wrinkles and curves and generally look like a 'normal' mom. I think this would add to the incest taboo. While the MC is a good guy, he's been lazy for a while, and has chosen to focus on video games and socialising over his college work, causing him to be at risk of failing and dropping out. One day the MC finds a book about demonic magic while panicking in the college library about how late he has left his studying for an important test. Desperate and knowing that there's no way for him to pass legitimately he takes the book even though he doesn't believe in magic. He's willing to try anything at this point. That night, he follows the instructions in the book, and to his surprise manages to summon a demon. The demon offers to fill the MC's mind with the knowledge he needs for the test, all the demon wants in return is for the MC to promise to fulfill the demon's wishes at a later date, or else his soul will be forfeit. The MC reluctantly agrees as he does not want to disappoint his mother. The next day, the MC takes his test and he seems to instinctively know the answer to every question. A week later, he gets his score and finds he has passed with perfect marks.

That night, the demon reappears in the MC's room and tells him that it's time for him to fulfill the demon's wishes. The demon explains that he wants the MC to get his own mother pregnant. The MC is shocked and horrified and tries to worm his way out of the pact, but the demon simply explains that if the MC does not do what he asks he will take the MC's soul. The demon gives the MC a set amount of time in which to achieve his goal then vanishes, leaving the MC alone with his thoughts. This is where the game starts.

Core Gameplay

At its core, the game would be a stat/resource/relationship management game. Each day would be split into times e.g. morning, afternoon, evening, offering different types of interactions within the MC's house (the primary location that the game takes place in). The mom would randomly move around the rooms of the house with each transition into a new time, allowing for a host of different interactions and preventing a 'perfect' strategy as the player will never be able to anticipate what interactions will be available to them. During each of these time periods, the MC will have a certain amount of action points that they can spend interacting with the mom or training their skills/attributes. E.g. improving an attractiveness trait by spending an action point grooming themselves in the mirror. Interactions with the mom can affect her stats as well, making her more or less comfortable with certain situations. Some actions would have a success chance based on the MC/mom's skills/traits/statuses. E.g. an option to kiss the mom on the lips would have a chance of success based on the status of their relationship, the MC's attractiveness, and the mom's lust/love scores. A success on this skill check could greatly increase the mom's lust/comfort with kissing while a failed check would significantly damage progress by reducing her stats and increasing her reluctance.

Random events would also take place during the transition between times. This is why I refer to the game as having rogue-like elements, as no two playthroughs would be the same. For example, during a transition from morning to afternoon, the mom could shout to the MC to bring her a towel to the bathroom as she forgot it. This would enable interactions options that could increase the mom's comfort with nudity.

The player would need to carefully juggle events and action points to build the relationship/reduce taboos to the point where the mom is willing to have sex with the MC without a condom so that he can impregnate her.

Key Concepts

  • Taboo - The incest taboo should be constantly present and serve as a reminder that the MC has been given a nearly impossible task. Multiple barriers will have to be taken down piece by piece, and the player should feel resistance at every step. Most mothers are not going to want to get pregnant with their son's baby, so the MC will need to inspire a lot of lust in the mom.​
  • Difficulty - The game should be difficult but not impossible. It would be important that there are many opportunities to alter stats while keeping those opportunities unpredictable. The game should also offer multiple ways to initiate certain relationship milestones, for example, oral sex, to limit the possibility of the player losing the game to one event they need never appearing.​
  • Time Pressure - The player should feel constantly under the pressure of time, with every period of time and action point feeling hugely important, encouraging the player to think carefully about what outcomes they need the most in that moment.​
  • Game Length - The game should not be too long, as there is a possibility of failure that will cause the player to need to try again​
  • Focus - The game is focused entirely around one relationship, allowing a high attention to detail​
Endings

There would be two endings to this game:

Good Ending - The MC manages to impregnate his mother. A scene will play out with the MC sat anxiously waiting for the deadline set by the demon. However, the time comes and goes and the demon never appears. Time will skip forwards a few weeks and the player will get a scene where the MC is interrupted by a knock on his door while he's sat in his bedroom. His mom enters looking nervous and presents the MC with a pregnancy test, informing him that she's pregnant. Time skips forwards and the player is rewarded with a pregnant sex scene. Following this, time skips forwards again to an image of a framed photo in the MC's house. The photo shows the MC and his mother together, with the mom holding a baby in her arms. The end.

Bad Ending - The MC fails to impregnate his mother. The deadline comes and the demon appears, seizes hold of the MC and rips the soul from his body. The game ends with a scene showing the MC's mother finding his body on his bedroom floor. A game over message will then show telling the player to try again and briefly explaining some game concepts that may help with the next playthrough.

I hope some of these ideas have been useful to some potential devs who may have found some inspiration in my thoughts. I'd love to hear some opinions on these ideas I've had! I like this idea because it's more of a game than a lot of the VNs on here.

I've recently been thinking about this game idea again and had an additional thought. I think it would also be cool and help encourage exploration of the MC's house if there were environmental ways to help aid the player in their goal. These environmental elements could encourage thinking outside the box and help clever players manage to get a victory despite not being where they want to be with their stats as the deadline approaches.

For example, a player may have got to the stage where the mom is willing to have sex with the MC but still only if a condom is used. A random event may be the mom sat sewing something that needs repairing. At the next phase of the day the player may go back to where the mom was sat and interact with the sewing supplies she left behind to acquire a needle. This could then be used on the box of condoms in either the MC or his mom's bedrooms to poke holes in them, allowing impregnation to be achieved despite the player failing to get the mom's stats to the point that she allows the MC to have raw sex with her. This would still have an element of luck and unpredictability as this sewing event will only occasionally appear.

Sounds like a cool idea, I'd maybe throw in an ending for the mom being pregnant but not having the high enough corruption. So you get the Bad end from the failure, a "Good" end where you survive but the mom takes the experience as having gone too far and the MC is made to move out and they never speak again, and then a "True" ending with a fully corrupted mom that is fully onboard and maintains the relationship.

I definitely think there would be room for variations in endings based on stats, whether the pregnancy is wanted/accepted would naturally be one of them. I've also been thinking about how stats would affect dialogue, for example if the mom has high love/lust she may be the one to insist on not using a condom and ask the MC to cum inside her and will be happy with this outcome. However, if her stats are only just high enough then the player may need to attempt to talk her into bareback sex with a percentage based chance of success. Even if this is passed the dialogue will reflect that she's not comfortable with this and scared of pregnancy and will ask the MC to pull out before he cums. If the player chooses to cum inside her then the mom's dialogue will reflect that she's upset and this could affect the ending if stats aren't increased between that time and the end of the game.
