An issue with running "Big brother"

Everytime i try and run the game it makes my entire PC lag out, as if the desktop has 1-5 FPS.
specs - I5 6600 3.2
R9 390
16 RAM

I have to try and close the game trough task manager everytime (which takes ages) in order to proceed.
never had this issue with any other game before, anyone knows a possible fix?
