Seeking An online game I barely remember

The facts I remember about the game:

• It was primarily text based
• Took place in a somewhat fantasy somewhat modern setting (iirc, electricity and computers and such, but also fantasy creatures/transformation/etc)
• Somewhat open-world or at least open to exploration

Potential things about it:

• Downloadable, maybe.
• It was available at an url (like, for example: kobold adventure)
  • It might have been a flash game, not HTML, but I'd still lean towards HTML.
• Pre-2020, potentially pre-2018

But that's about all I could hope to give. I'd recognize it if I saw it, and if there are any specific questions I might be able to answer, but I know this is a shot in the dark. If I remember any new details, I'll try and edit them in.
