I don't think that it's harsh to say that some posts use the animated tag to bait interest, maybe a tag that explicitly says if the sexual content of the game is animated or not is long overdue.

Not to say that it ruins the experience but i can't help but to feel a little tricked every time i fall for those baits.

The animated tag already exists, and it can only be used if there are animated scenes, not sure what you are talking about.

The scope of "animated" used on that tag is way too broad, some eyes blinking or smooth body animations is not what we are looking for, some way to distinguish from real animated sex scenes would improve a lot the research.

Can you define "real animated"?

Also just eyes blinking do not count for obvious reasons, the tag is only valid for animated SEX scenes.

Setting abstract boundaries to tags like animated is going to be... not fun. Sure, you could go the legal route and make levels of every tag, separate them by very rigid terms and then define each level of things and get a lawyer to make sure there are no loopholes... but then the tag system would be overly complicated, and NO ONE would understand it. The more conditions something has to fulfil to get a certain tag, the more useless the tag becomes, especially with the site's problem of not tagging a lot of the content appropriately and mods getting an aneurysm if you ask them to do so.

Like, imagine adding a "vanilla" tag. Where would vanilla end? Would anything outside of fidelity, monogamy and missionary position love-making fall outside of vanilla? We could go further and go "true vanilla" to cover that, but where would vanilla lie? Would a consensual harem be vanilla? Is anal sex vanilla? If your wife is a cuckquean and lets you sleep with another woman, but you stick to normal love-making positions and dynamics, is it vanilla? What are normal love-making positions and dynamics anyways?

We will also probably see minor and major tags added, Which in my most humble opinion, will be an utter clusterfuck.

I still feel like this is a bad idea since what the fuck would deem it minor or major, the significance of the game overall? Or percentage of content? Because for example, think of this situation:

The game is very plot-driven and it has a buttload of story and NSFW scenes (hundreds),
One of the scenes involves a character getting sexually assaulted, this is very important to the development of that character and we see them grieve, navigate their feelings and emotions and learn to cope with their past. On one hand, this is one scene, but on the other, this is a very impactful scene. Would the rape tag be applied? it's less than 1% or even a fraction of that in terms of total sexual scenes. But the scene heavily dictates the plot, or at least one of the character's development.

This same logic could be applied to animated if you have the final scene. Let's say a wedding, it's fully animated, 2 minutes long and voiced as the characters cry, embrace each other and has flower petals and hearts all around them while the crowd cheers, you know, top-tier animated shit. But at the end of the day, it's one (very good) animation, not even a sexual one at that, would animated(major) be applied?
