It's neat enough.
As you are upgrading the Cells, don't buy hypertrophy. The cell upgrades are what dictate how powerful the little enemy orbs are. There can only be 33 of these orbs max and they each remove 100 cells a second, to a cap of -3.3k, so if you upgrade your cells to just before Hypertrophy and upgrade proteins and whatnot, you can be making profit. Once there just buy genes, and while those upgrade, do something else as the progress starts very slow.
Eventually you buy a tissue or two to speed things up, and upgrade the genes. Once the genes are at at least level three, transposon activity, you can buy the first two neuron upgrades. Yes Neurons mean you lose more cells per second, but they also greatly enhance how much cells you get from the passive gene upgrades.
Long story short you can make the game fully automated if you just never kill the evocytes. But unfortunately, good ol' 682 looks her best from about evolutions 17 - 20. 21 and 22 are kinda passable, depending. But then it goes full circle, stops being at all sexy and anthropomorphic, and 23 onwards are pretty poor eldritch abominations that aren't pretty to look at.
There's apparently 33 evolutions and the 25th comes in at 100 trillion. I have not seen one above this. I would assume it becomes quadrillions by that point, but, I currently have the 420% bonus from transcending a few times and even then, with max genes, good neurons, very little evocyte damage, 12 tissues, and pretty highly upgraded cells, I only make 1 trillion cells in about 40 seconds.
So it takes an hour of just sitting around to get 100 trillion. So ten hours to get to quadrillions.
Basically it just takes way, way, way too long to get to the higher evolutions, and thus far the only scene is a kinda meh scene of I think the 18th evolution that is WAY too loud and has only roaring, not even some vague approximation of a feminine tone. If you're just here to see the pictures, 1 billion through 50 billion, evolutions 18 through 20, are the three best looks.
