Seeking Any good story-based games you recommend?

I’ve been browsing some of the content here and curious — are there any adult games with good storylines? Not just visuals, but actual gameplay too. Would love suggestions!

These game are good for starting off. My recommendation would be to play in said order.

I will always recommend Mist for a good storyline. Just genuinely great.

Long live the princess is also pretty good, though the mind control could be icky. Evenicle is also genuinely great, though you might have to skip through some sex scenes depending on your sensitivity.

If you're looking for gameplay, my advice would be to ignore anything with the Ren'py engine tag. No exceptions.

Anyhow, Black Souls has a pretty good storyline, but it's also difficult to stomach at times.
