Anyone else tired of Honey Select models in games?

Nope, HS/PH I find for the most part to be unique, too many of the daz games have the same looks or hairstyles, like that punk chick undercut with the Z in it, and often HS have flawless skin, never understood that whole imperfection is perfection stuff, just stupid logic if you ask me, and hate that it is a "beauty spot", no bitch its a mole and they are not pretty.
More to the point as someone without Oedipus, HS/PH old women look 20 so at least easier for me to like them.

Although that is original, don't get the fuss of HS2.

Some of my very favorite games us Honey Select. Max's Life, Dark Magic, and the new game My New Neighbors come to mind. The character models can sometimes be very simple, but if done right, its very sexy. And those models can often be much curvier than the ones we often see in Western games, which is a huge plus for me. And the animations in the sex scenes are often just the absolute best in any kind of game that I've come across. I've wondered if they actually had models do motion capture to achieve them.

I don't think we are living in the same reality.

I view HS models the same way I view something like Summertime Saga's art, with a stylistic lens. If you want the girls to look as realistic as possible then your best bet is DAZ. However, that's not what I want all the time. Sometimes I want hyper exaggerated tits and ass in a cartoon style, sometimes I actually do want realistic girls in DAZ style, but get this... Sometimes I want Asian looking girls with big tits and abnormal waists and those are the times I go for HS games. It doesn't matter if it's the best looking graphics or not, having variety is king.

When it comes to my own personal preference, I prefer HS2 styled models. It's a tad bit more realistic but retains that stylistic looks from the first game and is more versatile in that your girls (and guys) can potentially look caucasian with enough work. Still no luck creating black people though.

DAZ models, properly textured, lit, etc. are vastly superior to HS1 models, who often seem to have only a handful of face types and no real variety in terms of skin textures. There are lazy devs who use "stock" DAZ models and clothing and don't put any effort into skin textures, lighting, poses, etc. and it shows.
You could make something unique in Blender, but the time investment doesn't seem like it's worth it to reinvent the wheel. Might as well do digital/hand-drawn at that point.

Is it that easy to mutate models with Daz? I don't think there is much they can do.
At least with HS you have a lot of cards you can go through to get something decent.

HS 2 developers don't seem to have figured out how to do lighting and do the color grading yet so they look kinda bland and flat, the hair is also fucking weird, HS 1 hair was much better.
But I am pretty sure that is going to be the future in terms of models and options for characters.
If they have more modification options then HS1 and together with the card sharing I am not seeing how anyone will topple that.

HS is dead. Long live HS.

You have a shitload more possibilities in Daz than in HS, in HS you're restricted by just a few slider, in Daz it basically only depends on your own creativity and skill, you basically don't even need morphs (slider) to create a unique character, but it's of course easier with them, and it's of course even easier to just download some base models.......

HS2 is still a bit behind HS1 regarding mods, especially when it comes to rendering afaik, but you can do really good stuff with it already. The hair in HS2 has a rendering issue, that's why it doesn't look as good as in HS1, modders are still trying to figure something out how to fix it (illusion is obviously not able to do it on their own), the hair itself is not worse than in HS1 imo.

It's pointless to have infinitely more possibilities if it comes with infinitely more effort.
How many Daz original character models can a developer make 5-7, before they call it quits?
With HS 30 characters is easy by downloading cards and tweaking a bit.

It's exactly the same with Daz.
It's just that a lot of people don't even tweak the characters, that's why we see a lot of the same again and again.

Im more of tired of that one shady chinese gangster looking MC who wears shorts all the time.. The one thats in Dark magic.
You do seem to see him a lot. I wonder if there are just a lot fewer male models than female ones?

Someone else once said that it's easy to make non oriental girls in HS
and it's almost impossible to make non oriental looking males in HS

There are definitely limitations on what you can do with male character models in HS

I looked into trying to download it and mess with it myself, but it seems like too much of an ordeal to do that.

Well I wouldn't say it's easy to make a western looking woman in HS, most of the girls still look kinda asian, but it's definitely 1000 times easier than creating a non asian looking guy in HS, which is basically impossible without moddifying the bone structure (I tried... I tried a lot, and I failed miserably^^).

Guys, for all of you complaning about ugly MCs in HS games. Go and play Solvalley School and learn to be happy.

You're welcome.
Yea lol everyone loves to pick on Alex. I honestly enjoy being/watching Alex, dudes such a boss.
Not everyone needs to be an Adonis.
Haven't played it yet but The Professor really interests me because the dev has described his MC as a ugly guy who has to use cleverness and guile to essentially trick naive college girls to come back to his apartment and make amateur porn. I like that premise.

This is almost like complaining about TDA or Overwatch models, sounds more like devs being lazy and just tacking slightly altered base models over their VNs. Though I can agree that once you're familiar with the base everything starts to look the same.
