Does that mean the 0.07 version of the mod will work fine with no update, or is it one of those cases where installing the prior version's mod will break the game or functionally roll it back to that prior version?

Again, as I said on the previous page, another user updated Lain's mod for v0.7.

you just won't see new 0.08 content.

I played it with the mod (not all of it). But it seemed to work fine. It will just tell you that there is no more content when you reach content from 0.8. But you can still keep playing.

The "In game" character page (not the one in the mod) will tell you if you still content left to play trough.
