Ren'Py - Apartment Building [v0.19] [Anton]

I can't comprehend why anyone would even think to rate this above one star. This is the most poorly coded, generic shovelware, "my first renpy sandbox" garbage I've seen in a long time. Not only is there less than zero story, but there's nothing to do AT ALL. You click thought the boring open sandbox to get +1 a day to every girl you bother to find until a scene happens. And on top of nothing to do, once you do "advance" to the next section of the girl's "story," it's timed and padded so you have to pass ANOTHER week of in-game time to do the next event. You have to click on tiny buttons to get to any location, most locations are empty 99% of the time, and the English isn't even decent. And one funny thing is if you miss a button, since this is made so poorly, it refreshes the entire screen. But if you are stuck in one of the menus, you have to click the tiny OK button because this was made to be as tedious as possible. There are even two girls that have names so similar, the Dev gets confused and gives you points for the WRONG GIRL. I knew when I clicked on this thread that it'd be yet another boring empty sandbox with nothing to do, but my GOD, even the things to do are boring. You're better off just finding the stolen porn videos this uses. At least then you don't have to do 357 extra clicks to get to the content. You get to look at the default frame background, default font, and stock apartment photos with poorly scrapbooked cut-outs of the same 20 porn actresses you see all the time and are rewarded with the same videos you've seen 100 more times.

Very difficult to work out what to do without some kind of hint system- only realised that you could exit the building by clicking on the map at the end of day three, for example. The hints around the girls seem to be very vague at the moment.

Most of the scenes look to have been used in other games (Tale of One City especially).

There's quite a lot of grind, which isn't really helped by time and location specific requirements. The grind seems to be being used to pad the story out.

I know its early days at the moment, and the bones of the game are there, but the dev will need to do something pretty special to make this game anything above average for a sandbox city game.

one of my favorite real porn games. if you want good sex scenes w sound then this is a must play. the only downside is that there isn't much of story but still really fun and enjoyable. He also recently put in a hint system which is good.

Last updates take out the whole fun from the game. You have no idea what to do, you have to go to the forum and ask other people as randomly clicking around in different days and time of the day is not kind of a thing that you want to see in game that type

Good videos, nice that they have sound, pretty good story progression, a little hard to find where to activate things at times, not clear where people will be found for their next events.
Some people you have to wait weeks to work up their rating and they only show up the same time as other people which takes you out of the game as you just have to skip weeks forward to make progress then.

All the game is is repeat action 10 times to see new scene rinse / repeat.
You only get 4 actions a day and then you have to navigate back to your apartment, navigate back to your room and then go to sleep. Ending the day feel like its 30% of the game time .Seriously Dev just add an end day button thats available in every navigation window.

You have ten times the same interaction and then see a progress scene and maybe unlock a new place for ten times the same interaction. The writing is incredible basic it kinda ruins my mood, because it's an chore. It's just not worth it over just looking at the videos online.

I had not much expectation with this game and it has the usual weaknesses of HTML pseudo sandbox real porn games. But the author was very efficient in handling his assets and the game is clean and almost bug free (except the current one with Madison-Adrianna as of 0.6). The good point for the game is a well chosen clip sequencing with coherent scenery. The weakest point is the dubious logic for the progression of relationships, this triggers some bad grinding while for most girls it is easily avoidable. For instance I was slown down by my hyperactivity... you have to wait at home sometimes which is counter-intuitive in this type of game. But in the end the game is quite coherent and it made me happy for a few hours, which is not an easy task . The language translation could be polished (but is not detrimental to the progression), some porn stars, while quite professional are too old for my taste (there is no arguing here, it could be a strong point for some), sex action is good but rather tame by 2022 standards (7 on 10 on my hardcore rating). The author seems very capable and willing to improve his game so he deserves some praise. My opinion is that if you accept its inherent limits you can have some fun, even if no miracle is to be expected. So keep up the work and send more students to this empty high school and on the beach...

This game is dumb. Also, I love it. I don't know what that says about me.

There's barely any story, it's just a mostly interactive porn delivery system on a scheduler. The scenes are selected well, the coding seems solid... I'd argue about the typos and remaining Russian language script but honestly, who cares? It's coded well, balanced pretty well... yeah. As simplistic as it is, this one's a keeper.

Scenes are nice, but the gameplay is a boring "talk to this person 10 times at the exact same spot to unlock a scene" slog. Mediocre game at best, lazy design at worst. You're better off just looking at the scenes in the game files.

Aparment Building v0.2 is an amazing game. This game makes use of real porn genre in a new perspective, unlike many games which utilizes html platform. Visual screening and how the videos are played are also very satisfying in terms of its size relevant to the game screen. Hopefully more storyline can be integrated to make the flow of the game more natural and character development reasonably believable. Some tweaks to game mechanics may also be great for QoL purposes (like having to go back to your apartment at the end of the day is a bit of a hassle).

I find this format of the game to be very refreshing, and immersive and would like to see further development in near future!

I like this game so far.

Pro:
- alot of content
- content is matching with surroundings
- good models
- simple gameplay
- no need to farm cash or grind too much

Cons:
- a button to forward time should be in every location on the map or in UI
- there are no tips when clicking on the models so u have to search where to go next
- some grammar/spelling fails (and I am not a native English)
- the filesize gonna be a problem in future updates. maybe shrink those clips a bit

To sum this up: It is a game which is really fun to play and lots of content with a few minor disadvantages which aren´t worth reducing a star yet.

As of 0.1, this game has a lot of great potential. There is already a ton of content and all of the scenes have a steady level of progression and escalation. There is minimal grind, though it is sometimes a little unclear as to what to do next (even if you have repeated some scenes, they will sometimes have a new path once you have progressed with certain characters).
It's definitely worth playing through at the moment and I'm interested to watch how the game develops.

Decent enough game. Tentative recommendation.

Pros:
Alot of content as of v0.1.
Porn scenes are hot and robust.

Cons:
Not alot of story here.
Not alot of text, like only a sentence for each scene.
This game is just clicking to get more stats to get to the next porn scene.

If you're looking for a game to mindlessly click through and fck some hot babes, then this game is your jam. Or elses there's nothing very special here.
