The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs...
(01/01/2018 - Original Review - v0.1a)
Well, I sort of figured out the plot for this early in development visual novel/game... But it was tough figuring it out, i tell ya...
The visuals of the characters are your typical Super Model types, with just one exception at the end... They look fine, but the vogue like poses some of them take, is very unrealistic... An example would be when the 2 girls came back to the male protagonists apartment, the one sitting with his friend looked like she was floating a couple inches off the couch, doing some sitting pose... The backdrops were decent, and I didn't recognize any of them, so that is always a plus... There was a moment when Russian text appeared for a characters dialogue, instead of English...
The script is full of major broken English... I understood more in the introduction of the family bit, then the rest of it... It was extremely hard to read... I finally figured out what the main story plot was, but it took a while... Everything else that was going on I figured out more from the visuals then the actual script... The overall plot appears to be that the protagonist, in order to satisfy his father and allow him to stay in the apartment, he takes on boarders to pay him rent... The first folks that show up is where the current content ends...
The protagonist is an stereo-typical immature young guy, more interested in partying and hooking up with women then doing anything else meaningful... His father, an ex-military guy, is trying to teach him a lesson by putting his son up in an apartment as long as he pays the father back on time every month, believing he will fail and come back home... There was one scene during the introduction of his family at the beginning, where his father flipped him off after offering the deal... I have no idea why that was put in, and it made no sense...
Overall, I could barely understand most of what I was reading... I did get what was going on, now and then, but it is a horrible English translation/interpretation... I didn't really get any sense of what was always being said between characters, which made this whole VN/Game confusing... I'm leaning more towards a vibe that this VN/game is going to be mostly a sex romp porn game, then something with a deep and meaningful story... Nothing I saw or read makes me feel like checking back on this one, but maybe if the English gets fixed and a few versions get release later on, maybe I'll come back and do a review update... But for now, it's not something I'ld recommend to folks, who only read English...
(03/13/2018 - Review Update - v0.3.1)
As I mentioned the last time I played/read this VN/Game and did a review, I've returned to try it out again after it supposedly has fixed the major amounts of broken English it had before... All I can say about that is, it has improved some, but it is still very hard to read because it is still filled with moderate to light amounts of broken English, some spelling errors, lots of grammar errors, and all in all is still hard to read and is still confusing now and then... It's like it has been translated a bit better then before, but still needs a lot of re-interpreting... Because what is being said doesn't always make sense, or the words are ordered wrong, or a word is not used properly for it's intended meaning... And other stuff... So, that means all the Text still requires re-reading now and then, or sounds weird to read, and is difficult sometimes, to fully understand the point the author/s are trying to get across to the readers...
I also found some issues with the new content, since now it includes the actual tenants that the protagonist was trying to get in v0.1... The new tenants are sisters, one is younger and obese with a HIGHLY over the top personality and attitude, and the older sister is shorter and thin while also being way more likeable and acts more like a real human being... The obese sister is so bad that it is hard to believe she is a real person, with how she talks, how she reacts, how she treats everyone around her, and also in how most other characters, including the protagonist, refer to her... Anyone who is overweight would probably be offended with how some of the characters talk about her size... The developers even use stereotypes in some of her behavior such as how she's constantly hungry, or how food can be used against her to distract her (such as when the protagonist just walks in their room while they are changing, if that choice is made)...
Overall, i applaud the developers/authors for trying to fix the text from it's previous state, and it has somewhat improved, but it still needs a lot of work... And with the way-overbearing and over the top nature of the obese sister character, the immersion is even worse then before... I understand the over all premise of the story, but how it's told just feels over the top and somewhat cliché... Alas, I will most likely not be revisiting this VN/Game again...
